Most of the roads are accessible in any small car, but some roads require 4x4 (they're marked with a sign). We have a bath house with toilets, showers, and sinks and even offer hot water! Located at the edge of the prarie on the main trail is a sunrise/sunset/bird-watching platform that is 20 feet in the air with a 2 stage bridge to access it. We updated the outdoor kitchen with a 3 burner propane stove, propane grill and hot running water with a 3 bay sink. Other cooking options include a tripod over the fire and a charcoal grill. A short 10-minute drive to fire tower rd. brings you to a 2 mile loop trail with 2 waterfalls, Upper and Lower Piney Falls. Ozone falls is just a 20 minute drive. Then toward Spring City is Stinging Fork Falls at 25 minutes. Black mountain is my new favorite place especially the south overlook! The Hiking possibilities are nearly endless and close. I'll highlight one thru hike here since both trailheads are only 20 minutes away and is easy to coordinate with only 2 vehicles. It's a 10.2 mile hike that can be done in either direction and has a little something for everyone including a cave, boulder field, cascade and waterfall. Then you have massive Watts Bar Lake which is only 20 minutes away with a plethora of activities including the excursions we offer! We look forward to hosting you!

Weekend Trip to TeePee Village Ocoee Hiwassee River

What a value!!!!!!! 😍🤑 Dirk our host was very accommodating. We felt very safe and secure on site. We really appreciated all the communal amenities like the grill, hot tub, fire pit. Being able to bring pets with no additional al charge, also a big plus. Each teepee rental receives their OWN bathroom (away from the teepee) and each teepee has a mini fridge and air conditioning!! Dirk mentioned they might switch them out for heaters in the cold months. Also not mentioned in the listing, there is a stocked pond on site with small mouth and crappie. Special tip, the chilhowee recreation area can be reached in LESS than 20 min via Benton Springs road, which is a mildly adventurous, low speed gravel switchback mountain road. Any vehicle should be fine in dry conditions with minimal clearance. Excited to come back with friends and family!

Great little spot for a night away with my 16 year old daughter. I’m a city person so loved that this wasn’t too remote but still private. They have everything you need to cook and relax. The bath house is nice and unique. Really enjoyed our stay and will come for longer next time.

I can’t say enough good things about my stay! The farm setting was absolutely serene — nestled along a river and within striking distance of the mountains. Every detail was so thoughtfully done, from the well-kept amenities to the little touches that made it feel both comfortable and connected to nature. What really stood out was the hospitality. The hosts were genuinely kind and welcoming, and they went out of their way to help me plan things to do in the area — from scenic spots to local hidden gems; they went out of their way to make my stay extra special. Between the peaceful surroundings, beautiful scenery, and top-notch amenities, this place was the perfect balance of comfort and adventure. I left feeling refreshed, grounded, and already dreaming of coming back. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a peaceful escape in nature!

The clear walls and ceiling make for a forest emersed one of a kind experience. It is like sleeping on the porch when you were young. Comfy for the whole family.

First time camping ever and we were absolutely blessed by this site! It was such a wonderful way to ease ourselves into camping, everything was super accessible while still maintaining our privacy and allowing us to fend for ourselves just a bit lol I would recommend bringing extra blankets and pillows, thankfully we did and it made a world of a difference. Would so come back!

We had such a great experience camping at Valhalla! Jodie was an awesome host—she responded quickly to all my questions and made everything super easy. The campsite itself was beautiful and spacious, perfect for our big group of friends. There was plenty of firewood to keep the fire going all night, a grill to use, and even a bathroom with running water, which was a huge bonus. Everyone had a fantastic time and we’d definitely love to come back!

Great camping spot! We had a great time at Nick's Hipcamp. We stayed both in the lodge and campground several nights and both were great experiences. We brought our toddler and she loved the chickens. So much to do around the area, good grocery store 10 minutes away in Jasper, good hiking/climbing around the area. Highly recommend!

Quiet cabin in a field. Very close to a playground; kids had a blast gem mining and the cave tour was great! Cabin was clean with most of the supplies we needed for cooking. Would come back again.
