I recently acquired this property that has been in my family for over 100 years and my original home place until around 1980. My wife and I initially made this site for our own RV use, but we want to share it for others to enjoy and also to help finance our constant improvements. The original house that I grew up in is still located on the property but is currently uninhabitable (for now). My fondest memories of the property are of playing and catching crawdads in the creek that located on the property when I was a kid and riding horses and flying kites in the fields. I am working hard to restore this property to the way I remember it and trying to make it enjoyable for those that come to visit. A majority of the property is still being used as a hay field during the summer months and two to three times a year the hay is usually harvested.

I recently acquired this property that has been in my family for over 100 years and my original home place until around 1980. My wife and I initially made this site for our own RV use, but we want to share it for others to enjoy and also to help finance our constant improvements. The original house that I grew up in is still located on the property but is currently uninhabitable (for now). My fondest memories of the property are of playing and catching crawdads in the creek that located on the property when I was a kid and riding horses and flying kites in the fields. I am working hard to restore this property to the way I remember it and trying to make it enjoyable for those that come to visit. Mark's land is so relaxing and peaceful!
We had been looking for a place where it's just us.
It is by the road but wasn't noisy enough for us to not return. It also has well water and the sulfur smell is strong. We had bottled water and opened the bathroom fan when showering and sulfur problem solved.
The pros outweigh the road noise (which isn't alot) and sulfur smell. We already booked 2 other weekends.

The setting is very well done. Very large hill-side sites, all gravel and leveled. My dog enjoyed his walks. 2 detractions, but I'm my opinion not deal breakers. Close to highway and the trains that run in the Valley. We arrived around 2:30 pm and heard 4 trains 🚃 🚃 until about 5:30pm - 6 pm. HWY traffic noise was as expected. But by 7 pm, highway noise had subsided and no more trains. Closing the windows also cut traffic noise. Slept great. It's a lovely well groomed site and definitely worth a visit.

Great spread, lots of room to spread out, amazing set of amenities including couches, video games, a microwave, hot shower, super clean portapoty, and more.
The hosts work really hard on their property, that is obvious.
Had a great stay. Will be back.
Do note
1)if you rely on att for cell service, during my stay I was never able to get cell service. The host does have WiFi available and that saved me! Not all camping spots can pick up the wifi as the wifi coverage is only at the front of the property.
2) During my stay, several stray random dogs cruised through the property. I share this in case you have dogs.

We booked last minute & Mark was so fast to respond.....very nice guy. We really appreciated his fast response & he is great at communicating with you. The property is Fabulous. A little slice of heaven! We would definitely stay here again.

We liked that the cabin had a fully functioning kitchen and bathroom. Loved the outdoor scenery and camp fire area. It would be a good place for friends with an RV to join you if they were totally using their camper and not trying to share the house space.

This is a perfect setup for anyone traveling interstate. Not too far from the highway, I even had Uber Eats delivered. Walking the perimeter of the open field you can appreciate the vastness of the space. The stars were brighter in the sky than I’m accustomed to. The birds were huge! Loved my overnight stay and highly recommend.

Nice clean gravel sites with fire pit and picnic table seating. There's also a little enclosed dog park, which was great for us and our pups. Staff are friendly and helpful. You're within walking distance to the Crystal Palace (or Raccoon Mountain Caverns) and I would 100% recommend doing a tour.

Fireside's hosts haven't just made sites available to campers, they have created a full camping experience with amenities only found at the most luxurious campgrounds, including a large field with your choice of location, a well-maintained porta-potty, a community barn with refrigerators, microwaves, games and couches; and one of the nicest rustic shower houses I have ever had the pleasure of using.
While this property is located well into the hilly Tennessee terrain, finding a level pad for your tent or RV is not a problem. There are plenty of picnic tables and fire rings available, and you can choose to be in an open area or nestled into a thick canopy of trees.
Being early in the season, we had almost the entire place to ourselves and opted to stay close to the shower house, which turned out to be one of the greatest highlights of the stay. On a chilly evening and going three days without a bath, a hot shower in a beautifully handcrafted shower house was such a joy, I had to use it a second time before we left.
Less than 10 minutes away is the massive and breathtaking Fiery Gizzard State Park, which kept us busy for days and we barely scratched the surface of all it had to offer.
Although the occasional jake brake will cut the silence of the night, there are no major freeways nearby, so you can expect a quiet experience, especially if you come in the off-season.

We love the location, it’s not too far from Chattanooga but just far enough that it’s quiet and peaceful. Our dogs love the open field to go run around in. It’s worth noting that the field is only partially fenced. While the creek does form a natural barrier, it is not fenced along the creek.
The camp spot had everything we needed including some extra black water hoses to help reach the hookup location.
