Please read the site descriptions carefully to match your style of camping with the appropriate campsite. BBA guests frequently camp with a tent, vehicle, smaller camper, hammock tent, roof top tent, pop-up camper and similar styles. Most photos in this listing are taken onsite. Please keep in mind this is primitive and wild Tennessee landscape that may also contain poisonous plants and wildlife in or around camp.
Access to fresh water fun is a short down-hill hike for all guests, with the exception of our hike-in campsites which are positioned alongside the river. Each spot has been strategically selected to provide as much privacy as possible, and comfortably accommodates groups with two vehicles. We provide a rock fire pit and heavy-duty, cast-iron grill grate. You provide everything else, including drinking water and personal toilet waste bags if you plan to use our system. The hike-in sites come with extra seating. Every guest must be included on your reservation, and adult guests may be required to provide identification. Thank you!
COMMUNITY COMFORT STATION: There is a comfort station with an outdoor shower stall for hanging your own solar shower bag. The comfort station also includes a changing room which doubles as a private place to use your portable camping toilet. A toilet seat and bucket system is provided but guests will need to use their own waste disposal bags, available at most camping supply stores. The backside of the comfort station has a rain barrel (not potable) collection system for extinguishing fires.
OFF-ROAD CONDITIONS: Due to the primitive nature of our location, all reservations should expect hilly terrain and potential bumpy or some muddy road access, especially after heavy rain. We ask all guests to help us minimize impacts by driving with care. Vehicles with low ground clearance or low-profile tires are no longer permitted to use the off-road drive and must park at the entrance. If you want a campsite with the shortest walk from the entrance parking area, you will want to select campsite 5, 9 or 6. When the road is open during unusually wet periods, we recommend AWD or 4WD as a precaution. We are continuously working on improvements for our off-road drive.
Belle and Beau Acres is a farm homestead with a personal campground, conveniently located less than five minutes from I40. Expect nothing short of 360 degree views of relaxing nature, privacy, and spontaneous adventure when recreating at this agritourism location. Central to the most beautiful middle Tennessee destinations, BBA is the perfect home base for hiking, biking, kayaking, and fishing excursions to at least 10 nearby state parks and lakes. Tri Mountain View Campground is located in the Northeast corner of Tennessee in the town of Shady Valley. With an elevation of 2,800 feet, Shady Valley is the second highest town in Tennessee. It is just 26 miles from the Bristol Raceway and the Bristol Caverns. It is just a 15 minute drive to Backbone rock and a short drive to the Appalachian Trail. The property was a Dairy Farm and went out of business in the late 90’s and since then there has been over 3,000 trees planted. Some of these trees include the rare Butternut and Hazelnut, but mostly White Pine, Walnut and Oaks. The property has approximately 1,000 feet of fishing on Beaver dam creek, so we recommend bringing waders. There is also a shower house, washer and dryer.

About the sites:
There is a large parking area right off main road for easy access. Those with vans and RVs can set up right on the gravel parking area (also an option to tent camp right beside the parking area and enjoy the open sky and long range views. Campers who are willing to walk up a somewhat steep him can tent camp in the beautiful hilltop tent camping site which is located in a grove of pine trees.
This is a new Hip Camp listing and sites are privative for now. Enjoy unplugging as you camp because there is No Cell Phone reception here. There is WIFI at the neighborhood restaurant, Hellbender's Café just 4 minutes away (typically open from 11-5pm) during the warmer months. While there is no electricity (or hookups for RVs), there are very few street lights in the area which makes for amazing stargazing. The only source of water is from a temperate stream that runs along the back side of the property for those campers who are comfortable boiling or treating their water.
The property is 5.3 acres total, part of it is open former pasture land and over 1/2 of the property is forest. There is a wooden hill top area that is great for tent campers. The back side of the property is steep in some places, but it can be fun for those who want to hike and explore the mountainside.

We discovered this small homestead 18 years ago. It was built by a man preparing to go off grid, but he never did. In the intervening time, we became enthralled with growing vegetables, raising ducks, grazing sheep and hiking the hills behind us.
Then Nicole discovered permaculture and began the process of changing the land using these practices. With our three dogs, cats, goats, sheep, rabbits, ducks and chicken (there is only one chicken), things can be pretty merry around her. There are aquaponics and hydroponics to check out for fun. Plus, Nicole is one of the region's only craft coffee roasters, so you are in for a treat if you come visit and like coffee because she tends to make coffee most mornings.

Kayaking and fishing is also so close you can almost hear it - but you can't. Which is good.
Our property has a composting outhouse and the outdoor shower attached to the house has hot and cold water. We also have a nice, outdoor kitchen area to share that has a big sink and blackstone griddle. There is Wifi in the kitchen area and a plug for recharging devices.
The camp site is a two-minute walk from the driveway and outhouse so be prepared to carry items in and take your morning constitutional walk.
We sometimes have homestead-produced items for sale.
This is a functioning homestead, so we may be hosting an open house event, processing animals, or some other fun homestead happening activity during your stay.

I was happy to find Patricia’s Hipcamp so close to my cousin’s place. It is definitely convenient to just about anything you might need! I enjoyed watching the horses across the creek… one of them was actually splashing around in the water next to my site when I arrived. It is a very pretty spot, and everything was as described. The directions were clear, and the site was easy to find. I was, however, glad I brought bug spray because there were a lot of mosquitoes.

We tent camped and it was awesome! A beautiful piece of land with adorable highland cows and a very sweet family! I only wish we had more time to spend there with the cows! Highly recommend!

Christine’s property was stunning. She’s found the balance of perfectly kept and unkept. The campsites are spacious and offer a good amount of privacy. We also enjoyed the little trails offering incredible creek access. It was the perfect getaway for our family of four. The kids (3 & 4) loved the creeks and felt confident in the trails! We will be back!

A lovely, open location—and yet oddly private in most ways. Great fire pit, nice picnic table, and Adirondack chairs. A tiny bit of road noise during the day, but gloriously quiet at night. Close to Damascus. DO pay attention to Jeff's instructions and photos of the driveway he will send. They were so helpful.
Do note that, as he says in the ad, there is no wifi, no water, no privy, no trash receptacle—no nothin' except lots of great dead wood for a fire. We expected all that and were fine with it.
A lovely experience. We would return.

My husband, my 4 year old and I stayed here for 2 nights. It was nice meadow with everything mentioned in the listing, running water, sink, toilet and shower and wood for purchase. Easy to get into and out of and conveniently located. Yes, you do hear the traffic of the road as is mentioned but you get used to it/it becomes background noise. There were other campers at one of the other sites during our stay which was not a problem and to be expected as this is a top listing in Tennessee but had all the other sites been taken, I would feel that is too close together, at least for me personally. That’s the only potential downfall that I would check on before coming again and wanted to mention for the consideration of others. We enjoyed our time here.

Definitely would recommend to splurge and get Tree Solo for some extra privacy.
Everything was clean and well kept. The bed was super comfy and we enjoyed sitting in the rocking chairs on the porch.
The only downside to the site is that the fire pit is on a hill so there really isn’t any great place to sit in a chair next to the fire without it tipping over.

We loved camping here! Driving with my son home from college for the summer, we were looking for a place to stay somewhere between Nashville and Memphis when we realized he packed. his tent and camping gear in the car. We made a last minute booking only about an hour before we arrived, and almost immediately got communication offering to meet us when we arrived to direct us to the camp site, even though we were an unexpected booking. Our camp site was relatively close the farm house, but still felt private and secluded. It was also close to the outhouse, which was about as clean as an outhouse can get. The site was level, had a fire ring and picnic table, and just steps away from a beautiful pond (which was behind thick vegetation and down an embankment, so not immediately visible from the site). It was very quiet at night except for the local wildlife. We did hear some coyotes howling! We pre-ordered. firewood for $5 from the host and he brought it over almost immediately. On the morning we got a tour of the farm and got to hand feed the alpacas, who were all very friendly. We watched the chickens and ducks come and eat the pellets that the alpacas dropped on the ground. There are also a number of beehives. We slept great in our tent and it was a lot of fun interacting with the alpacas. Myles also talked about foraging for wild foods, which is a big interest. So this was a great campsite with the unusual twist of seeing the alpacas. And very friendly people!

When you close your eyes and picture the perfect campsite, this is that spot! Sure, it didn’t hurt that we caught some perfect weather between spring storms, but this place would be awesome anytime. Your own slice of a crystal-clear stream under tall bluffs, with everything you could ask for in campsite amenities - covered patio, fire pits (plural!), full hookups, fast WiFi, easy, level pull-through site. It’s not cheap, but once you’ve seen it in person, you’ll feel like you found a steal!

Maisy was extremely welcoming and hospitable and makes sure you have everything you need! Spent Mother’s Day with my girls and couldn’t have asked for a better or more peaceful experience.
Cozy beds in the A frames and a nice fire pit with chairs supplied. A bathroom with shower and hot water with tables to hang out at the barn, loads of space .
You can get a taste of farm life watching the herd move up the pasture as the day goes on.
Farm tour was super interesting and informative, we got to pet the coos and see their different personalities come out by being in the field with them.
Andre made us the best crepes before we headed out!

Really nice well kept spots, well spaced, most of them very private. I choose site three and after viewing the others I think I choose the best one. All of them are nice tho and I did not view the hike in spots as they are private to those who reserve them. The hiking trails were short , which worked well with my limited time there, but most led to a nice private stream. Had it been a bit warmer I can only imagine how nice it would have been to shower under the little waterfall (soap free of course). There is a nearby highway, it is distant enough that it is not bothersome at all, but if you're looking for that dead silent but for the sounds of nature night, you won't quite have that. Nice custom cooking grates for the fire rings.

I loved my recuperation camping trip… It was all about a quiet, private place to get over an illness as I was tired of couch surfing. It was absolutely perfect! Beautiful place, private, quiet. Just what I needed. For someone who wanted more activity, it would also meet that purpose. I saw horseshoe set up and there was plenty of space to set up football, soccer, badminton, kickball, whatever, even all at the same time! Several different fire pits, one down by the creek, a beautiful pavilion with water and electricity. It had everything I needed and more.
