Please read the site descriptions carefully to match your style of camping with the appropriate campsite. BBA guests frequently camp with a tent, vehicle, smaller camper, hammock tent, roof top tent, pop-up camper and similar styles. Most photos in this listing are taken onsite. Please keep in mind this is primitive and wild Tennessee landscape that may also contain poisonous plants and wildlife in or around camp.
Access to fresh water fun is a short down-hill hike for all guests, with the exception of our hike-in campsites which are positioned alongside the river. Each spot has been strategically selected to provide as much privacy as possible, and comfortably accommodates groups with two vehicles. We provide a rock fire pit and heavy-duty, cast-iron grill grate. You provide everything else, including drinking water and personal toilet waste bags if you plan to use our system. The hike-in sites come with extra seating. Every guest must be included on your reservation, and adult guests may be required to provide identification. Thank you!
COMMUNITY COMFORT STATION: There is a comfort station with an outdoor shower stall for hanging your own solar shower bag. The comfort station also includes a changing room which doubles as a private place to use your portable camping toilet. A toilet seat and bucket system is provided but guests will need to use their own waste disposal bags, available at most camping supply stores. The backside of the comfort station has a rain barrel (not potable) collection system for extinguishing fires.
OFF-ROAD CONDITIONS: Due to the primitive nature of our location, all reservations should expect hilly terrain and potential bumpy or some muddy road access, especially after heavy rain. We ask all guests to help us minimize impacts by driving with care. Vehicles with low ground clearance or low-profile tires are no longer permitted to use the off-road drive and must park at the entrance. If you want a campsite with the shortest walk from the entrance parking area, you will want to select campsite 5, 9 or 6. When the road is open during unusually wet periods, we recommend AWD or 4WD as a precaution. We are continuously working on improvements for our off-road drive.

About the sites:
There is a large parking area right off main road for easy access. Those with vans and RVs can set up right on the gravel parking area (also an option to tent camp right beside the parking area and enjoy the open sky and long range views. Campers who are willing to walk up a somewhat steep him can tent camp in the beautiful hilltop tent camping site which is located in a grove of pine trees.
This is a new Hip Camp listing and sites are privative for now. Enjoy unplugging as you camp because there is No Cell Phone reception here. There is WIFI at the neighborhood restaurant, Hellbender's Café just 4 minutes away (typically open from 11-5pm) during the warmer months. While there is no electricity (or hookups for RVs), there are very few street lights in the area which makes for amazing stargazing. The only source of water is from a temperate stream that runs along the back side of the property for those campers who are comfortable boiling or treating their water.
The property is 5.3 acres total, part of it is open former pasture land and over 1/2 of the property is forest. There is a wooden hill top area that is great for tent campers. The back side of the property is steep in some places, but it can be fun for those who want to hike and explore the mountainside.

We discovered this small homestead 18 years ago. It was built by a man preparing to go off grid, but he never did. In the intervening time, we became enthralled with growing vegetables, raising ducks, grazing sheep and hiking the hills behind us.
Then Nicole discovered permaculture and began the process of changing the land using these practices. With our three dogs, cats, goats, sheep, rabbits, ducks and chicken (there is only one chicken), things can be pretty merry around her. There are aquaponics and hydroponics to check out for fun. Plus, Nicole is one of the region's only craft coffee roasters, so you are in for a treat if you come visit and like coffee because she tends to make coffee most mornings.

Our property has a composting outhouse and the outdoor shower attached to the house has hot and cold water. We also have a nice, outdoor kitchen area to share that has a big sink and blackstone griddle. There is Wifi in the kitchen area and a plug for recharging devices.
The camp site is a two-minute walk from the driveway and outhouse so be prepared to carry items in and take your morning constitutional walk.
We sometimes have homestead-produced items for sale.
This is a functioning homestead, so we may be hosting an open house event, processing animals, or some other fun homestead happening activity during your stay.

Please read the site descriptions carefully to match your style of camping with the appropriate campsite. BBA guests frequently camp with a tent, vehicle, smaller camper, hammock tent, roof top tent, pop-up camper and similar styles. Most photos in this listing are taken onsite. Please keep in mind this is primitive and wild Tennessee landscape that may also contain poisonous plants and wildlife in or around camp.
Access to fresh water fun is a short down-hill hike for all guests, with the exception of our hike-in campsites which are positioned alongside the river. Each spot has been strategically selected to provide as much privacy as possible, and comfortably accommodates groups with two vehicles. We provide a rock fire pit and heavy-duty, cast-iron grill grate. You provide everything else, including drinking water and personal toilet waste bags if you plan to use our system. The hike-in sites come with extra seating. Every guest must be included on your reservation, and adult guests may be required to provide identification. Thank you!
COMMUNITY COMFORT STATION: There is a comfort station with an outdoor shower stall for hanging your own solar shower bag. The comfort station also includes a changing room which doubles as a private place to use your portable camping toilet. A toilet seat and bucket system is provided but guests will need to use their own waste disposal bags, available at most camping supply stores. The backside of the comfort station has a rain barrel (not potable) collection system for extinguishing fires.
OFF-ROAD CONDITIONS: Due to the primitive nature of our location, all reservations should expect hilly terrain and potential bumpy or some muddy road access, especially after heavy rain. We ask all guests to help us minimize impacts by driving with care. Vehicles with low ground clearance or low-profile tires are no longer permitted to use the off-road drive and must park at the entrance. If you want a campsite with the shortest walk from the entrance parking area, you will want to select campsite 5, 9 or 6. When the road is open during unusually wet periods, we recommend AWD or 4WD as a precaution. We are continuously working on improvements for our off-road drive.

About the sites:
There is a large parking area right off main road for easy access. Those with vans and RVs can set up right on the gravel parking area (also an option to tent camp right beside the parking area and enjoy the open sky and long range views. Campers who are willing to walk up a somewhat steep him can tent camp in the beautiful hilltop tent camping site which is located in a grove of pine trees.
This is a new Hip Camp listing and sites are privative for now. Enjoy unplugging as you camp because there is No Cell Phone reception here. There is WIFI at the neighborhood restaurant, Hellbender's Café just 4 minutes away (typically open from 11-5pm) during the warmer months. While there is no electricity (or hookups for RVs), there are very few street lights in the area which makes for amazing stargazing. The only source of water is from a temperate stream that runs along the back side of the property for those campers who are comfortable boiling or treating their water.
The property is 5.3 acres total, part of it is open former pasture land and over 1/2 of the property is forest. There is a wooden hill top area that is great for tent campers. The back side of the property is steep in some places, but it can be fun for those who want to hike and explore the mountainside.

We discovered this small homestead 18 years ago. It was built by a man preparing to go off grid, but he never did. In the intervening time, we became enthralled with growing vegetables, raising ducks, grazing sheep and hiking the hills behind us.
Then Nicole discovered permaculture and began the process of changing the land using these practices. With our three dogs, cats, goats, sheep, rabbits, ducks and chicken (there is only one chicken), things can be pretty merry around her. There are aquaponics and hydroponics to check out for fun. Plus, Nicole is one of the region's only craft coffee roasters, so you are in for a treat if you come visit and like coffee because she tends to make coffee most mornings.

The camp site is a two-minute walk from the driveway and outhouse so be prepared to carry items in and take your morning constitutional walk.
We sometimes have homestead-produced items for sale.
This is a functioning homestead, so we may be hosting an open house event, processing animals, or some other fun homestead happening activity during your stay.

You will absolutely love it! Maisy and her family are a true delight. They are very accommodating, helpful and knowledgeable. The shower had issues, and she allowed anyone who wanted to bathe - could do so at the main house. My sister absolutely loved it, and how amazingly kind she and her husband are. Maisy said she is still working on making the camping experience enjoyable for more people. This amazing couple has events for others to learn about the farm, and interact with the animals. It is a short walk to the bathroom (barn), but super nice inside. There are tables & chairs set up inside (along with a display of lights) and outside the barn, along with a play area inside for the young ones. Maisy is super quick to get back to you on the app if you need anything. I love how straight forward and kind Maisy is at the same time. This lady is super awesome with the public, so is Andre. You feel so welcome on the their property 😎. Andre is super helpful, he does a lot of work on the farm and around the home. I hope Mayflower is doing better, she is on the mend from a broken leg.

Weekend Trip to Bunk With The Coos Of Lochan Zanda
I reached out and spoke with the Moo-fabulas owners about helping with a birthday surprise for my wife. Let me tell you they went above and beyond to ensure she had a birthday like no other and to make us happy. The owners are awesome people who love it all. We rented an A-frame for the night, enjoyed breakfast with the owners and then a Coo experience. Feeding, brushing, hugging and loving the herd out in the pasture. We learned a lot about highland cows. Not only do I recommend doing this, I demand that you go there. It is so therapeutic and relaxing to be around them. We will absolutely be back.

Cute and private place. Easy to find. Loved the map they provided! With T-mobile, I had 5g everywhere on the property. Host was very nice and provided us change for the firewood we bought. We stayed in site 3 with our two dogs and our tree frog friend, and though we had neighbors, at the next site, they were far away. The site was clean, cared for, and opens into the star-gazing field, with a short walk to the comfort area.
The waterfall hike is steep but short, and there was beautiful spring flowers growing everywhere, including lots of trillium! Beautiful!
Springtime in Tennessee is sure to bring ticks, and this was no exception! After our hike, we found 2 on us, so make sure to bring spray and check yourselves and clothes/bedding well! This is not a complaint, it is an inevitable issue to be aware of!

Jeff sent super great directions and I got there easily despite having no service! The photos were super helpful. The view was great! Super nice place to car camp. I enjoyed my stay. You can see the neighbors property and I'm not stating that as a negative, but just in case you wanted something more isolated it is, but you can see their property. I also liked the distance from town. The Damascus brewery was awesome and there was a diner nearby that I didn't try, but had good reviews

Tent camped here and it was a solid time. Christine was very helpful and finding the site was no issue at all. The place was very quiet with only a faint hint of distant cars, and the place was overall peaceful with some nice small trails to walk and the star gazing field was cool too. Overall a very peaceful and enjoyable experience.

We did car camping with a tent that attached to the suv and WE HAD THE BEST TIME!! It was amazing, loved the space, dogs got in the water, my fiancée caught some fish, we got to relax with our three dogs with no one around and plenty of space!! We are already planning on when we are coming back

Patricia was a wonderful host. Her place was set up where the sites were far apart enough for privacy and it was all well maintained. We hammocked creekside, and it was perfect. Loved the horses' visits, and we felt like we were visiting a friend's for the weekend. Great vibes!!

Such a beautiful spot! The pavilion was so nice and for those with RVs, all the hook ups are there. Very clean portapotty on site and the creek was BEAUTIFUL! Even though a cold front came through, we were able to do a little fishing and thoroughly enjoyed the stay. If you get a chance to meet Ruby, she’s the sweetest dog ever!! So nice to meet you William.

This Hipcamp was fantastic. Debbie came out to greet us as we set up. The picnic table with lights and a view of the pond was amazing, especially when the deer came running through. The covered bridge on property was an added bonus view. We will definitely be back.

We enjoyed our stay at Cristy’s place. It was peaceful and you are surrounded by woods while looking out at friendly cows across the driveway. The firepit was a nice feature and firewood was provided. One caveat - they have 57 gravel in the site and it is pretty loose. We did not want to back all the way down in the site for fear we would have trouble getting out. So getting level was a challenge. They provide electricity and have 50, 30, and 15 amp service.

Definitely one of the very best stays we have had with Hipcamp. There has been a lot of time spent on this property and it shows in every aspect. It’s beautiful, quiet, well maintained and the full hook ups and WiFi is so very helpful. We had a problem the first night with our electrical and the owner came out about 9 pm to make sure we had what we needed to make it through the night. The electrical problem ended up being from our power source but William was ready to come back the following day to help figure it out. We will no doubt be trying to book this property again in the future and you should too. You will not be disappointed.

We appreciated being outside of the chaos of the city but still a short drive from everything we wanted to see and do. Description is as advertised, you are on a somewhat busy road so get the noise. Facilities were rustic but well maintained. We recommend bringing in your own drinking water, although Patricia was very gracious and offered us bottled water.

Absolutely awesome space. Don't even want to tell anyone about it because I don't want to share! 😂 You will not be disappointed. When pulling out recommending backing out or double checking which entrance your GPS leads you to. I had to take a really sharp right (which the area is not intended for) because my GPS let me to what is the second entrance I believe.
Overall, hands down would stay here again! 5/5 Can't wait for the next time!

Christine was a great host. She was very accommodating for a last minute booking, and was very helpful and communicative throughout the process. We really enjoyed the peace and quiet. We had the place all to ourselves, so we roamed around to all the campsites. You can’t go wrong with any of them. I would definitely recommend Belle and Beau’s for a quick getaway from the hustle and bustle of life.
