This isn’t a "hotel without walls" like state parks and KOA's/ This is real camping. No neighbors. No electric wires. Just nature and beauty in a quiet environment. Clothing optional sites available and great space for small events and large groups.

Learn more about this land:You’ll cross the covered bridge (clearance 11’6” ) as you enter our farm, a 73 acre small family farm, nestled in the Buffalo Valley of Northeast TN, and featuring a down home country atmosphere. What makes our farm special are all of the unique extras: a working log cabin blacksmith shop, log cabin art gallery, certified commercial kitchen, lots of watchable wildlife, and walking trails. We have a one acre wildlife pond and a smaller pond fed by springs and Buffalo Creek, which runs through the farm. 40 acres Located in beautiful Dover TN 5 miles from Lake Barkley & the Cumberland River. Conveniently located a few miles from town, far enough that it is quiet, but close enough that it is not a long trip to town.
The property features a variety of thriving wildlife due to our fresh water stream that gently flows through the property year round. The stream is roughly ankle to hip deep depending on the area. The water is crystal clear and safe to play in if you have little ones. Walk along the stream and discover all kinds of fish, turtles, beautiful river stones and possibly see a beaver or 2. If you have Archery equipment, you can use our Archery Range.
The property is split by a 2 lane road. 7 acres to the North and 33 acres to the South. The smaller side is flat with many trails, fresh water stream and a gravel road. It features relatively junior trees and is home to a family of Whitetail Deer. The Southern side of the property features a mature hardwood forest full of giant white oak trees. Be sure to put on your hiking boots though, because there's a few Hills to climb. Three hills that form a beautiful valley in the center, with another fresh waterstream. The valley was once home to a 1700s settlement, so you may find some artifacts. (We just ask that you leave them where you find them.) Main trails are marked clearly with large reflectors for safety. With the near-by wildlife refuge you are sure to see and hear a variety of wildlife.
We have large steel firepits in every campsite. So feel free to bring your own firewood! Enjoy a good book or nap while relaxing in a hammock. Swing with a loved one while over looking the fresh water stream. Walk down along the stream and collect rocks, feed the fish, or go for a dip! Currently our property is very Primative, whichever there is no electricity or plumbing. We do offer clean composting toilets & a locking gate at night for your security.
**Cellular service is limited in some areas. Signal can be found by the road, or cross the road and take the trail up the 1st hill**

Use Greener Acres campsite as your jumping-off point for fun nearby activities or relax on our 40 acre mountainside property and watch for meteor showers in the clear night sky! Within 5 minutes, you can be at Roan Mountain State Park or drive 5-10 minutes to hike the Appalachian Trail. Head up to Carvers Gap just below Roan Mountain High Knob where you can hop out and enjoy a short walk to a scenic view of both the TN and NC mountains or visit the famous Rhododendron Gardens in season. Campsite also boasts energizing, private hike up to Heaton Ridge. Want to spend the day kayaking or canoeing? Head to Wilbur Lake, about a 30 minute drive away from our campsite. Exploring Laura Falls is only a 20 minute drive away. Blue Ridge Parkway, Blowing Rock, and Grandfather Mountain in N.C. are about 30-45 minutes away. The Smokey Mountains, Gatlinburg, and Dollywood are about a 2 hour drive through amazing mountain views. The annual Rhododendron Festival takes place minutes away. Supplies can be found at the state park camp store or in town at Redi-Mart or Dollar General. Water and showers are down by barn. A Gator is available for the duration of your stay. Please arrive before sundown so we can meet you the first time you stay to show you the way and make sure you are comfortable driving Gator. We will have you follow us up to the campsite and from there you can come and go and just leave the Gator by your car near the barn when you are out and about and when checking out. A small Bluetti power charging station will be available in the tent (for light charging of cell phones, other) which can be recharged by the barn if used heavily. A Coleman stove with a small propane tank, pots, a frying pan and utensils is also included in the site. Another small propane tank is provided for the radiator in the tent.

Weekend Trip to Salty Pines Hideaway
The yurt was amazing! Very spacious and comfortable bedding with courteous, thought out details for lighting in and out of the yurt. The shower was hot and refreshing!
Big thanks to everyone who has built that entire site up as well as all the recommendations we received! The nearby bar (Thirsty Turtle) serves up some great burgers and pizza on different days of the week, and sure to ask about the turtle races on Friday night!

I stayed in a tent with my boyfriend and dog. We had a great time! The hosts were very hospitable! They met us at the farm house when we arrived, introduced us to the cows, and gave us recommendations for where to grab dinner. We had a lovely night hanging out around the fire ring and then had a good sleep in our tent on the platform. In the morning, we walked over to the farm house for some coffee. I was expecting self-serve Keurig coffee, but the host made us delicious complementary cold brew coffees in their Moos & Coos coffee trailer. We then sipped our coffee while hanging out with the cows. Also, it is worth noting that they have a clean bathroom and dish washing station in their farm house. Overall, we had a wonderful experience, and we can’t wait back to come back! I am looking forward to seeing their adorable brick and mortar Moos & Coos coffee shop in the farm house in full swing!

We had such a peaceful stay at Waterloo Cascades! The river was beautiful and so enjoyable to spend time by, and the privacy made it feel like a true escape. The amenities were great and made the stay comfortable without taking away from the natural setting. It was the perfect place to slow down, relax, listen to the river, and enjoy the night sky. If you’re looking for a quiet getaway where you can unplug and enjoy nature, this is a wonderful spot. We would absolutely come back!

Peaceful and picturesque spot right along river. Short walk to falls and swimming hole. Only wish we had more time. 10/10 recommend. We’ll be back for sure!

Harmony Acres was beautiful. The owners were kind. And I loved having all the animals around us. The horses in the pasture when we got there were my favorite part. They were friendly and came to say hi.

This place was the most perfect getaway that my husband and I needed, after this Tennessee heat!! We walked down the Rim trail and fished along the creek on our way back up to Cliffside! Alice was very responsive and accommodating!

Weekend Trip to River Rock Refuge
Absolutely beautiful property on the creek! Would be fantastic when it is flowing. The tent was super spacious for the three of us. The gravel going down to the tent is brand new so be careful. This camp is a great place to connect with birds and nature sounds all night.

I enjoyed my weekend at Brandn hills. Was visited by lots of wildlife! Deer, racoon and even a skunk :) This Tennessee summer has been very hot so being very close to the creek was wonderful. I set my chair in the water and kept cool. The only issue for me was hearing the traffic. This place is far enough in the country to not get A LOT of traffic but when I'm in the wilderness, I tend to rather not hear traffic. There is another site close by but it was not rented out the weekend I was there so it was very private. And that's why I stay at Hipcamps! I will definitely stay here again!

Wonderful level site on the edge of a pasture with statuesque round bales of hay freshly rolled. Two nights under the stars was the perfect unwinding after exploring nearby Erwin. Even my big old dog felt relaxed with the smells and sounds (he typically paces in the tent, he loved the fresh air and zonked out early each night)
Pat was easy to meet up with once I arrived and all messages were quickly answered.
The peacocks were curious and fun to stare back at. I will visit site 6 again for the star gazing at night and rooster in the morning.
