The Redwater Revival Campground joined Hipcamp and was open during the 2020 summer season. Herb met and accommodated many wonderful guests and had a blast doing it.
The red bluff in the background was a very strategic vantage point for early Indigenous Americans for hunting game that roamed the creek bottom.
The rest of this exciting story will have to be heard when you get here.
The Redwater Creek is full of Brown and Rainbow trout. They are sneaky little buggers that can actually hear your footsteps when you are fishing along the bank.

We loved staying at Bear Den! Tammy and Tim are the most welcoming hosts — we immediately felt like a part of their family! As our 5-year-old told us when they went back to their house after greeting us… “They’re so nice, I wish they didn’t have to go.” :) The cabin was cozy and perfect for our family of four. We were extra impressed by the cleanliness of the facilities, and amenities we didn’t expect. Our kids loved exploring the property, seeing the stars at night, and waking up to watch the deer right outside the cabin. The location was great, and pretty central for all the things we wanted to do. Our whole family hopes to visit again, and we will tell all our friends to make a trip to the Black Hills to stay with Tammy and Tim!

Our stay at Melissa’s Hipcamp site was incredible! The cabins were so nice and cozy, and the outdoor kitchen and shower were great. The property is beautiful and we were so happy we got to stay there on our road trip. I only wish we could have been there for longer!! We will definitely be coming back!

Kurt is an amazing host in more ways than one. After I texted him saying we were set to arrive in our RV in the middle of the night, he gave detailed instructions on where to park. Not only that, but he congratulated us via text after he awoke on the good job of parking in the dark, since we had already left for the Buffalo Round up in our car. We reserved the site for two weeks but our son was with us and he was anxious to get home after being away for months hiking the Continental Divide Trail. We left after only five days and Kurt graciously agreed to refund us. He was so understanding and even spoke to my husband in person.
The site is amazing because it is in the middle of the countryside with no other RVs. Accommodations were excellent...great wifi. We highly recommend this host/site and hope to return in the future.

We loved staying at the Bear Den cabins! Tammy gave us clear instructions to where/how to find it and was very communicative and friendly! 😊 The location is quiet and secluded, other than the sound of the neighbors clucking chickens (which I loved!), and the passing turkey and deer through the property. We had our two dogs, which I reached out in advance about having multiple dogs and she was very accommodating. We’d love to be back!

Well cared for campground with a cozy feel. Garret, our host, was very accommodating and communicative. There is a neat little rock outcropping hill that stands behind the resort which is a great spot for a hike with a view. Nice facilities. Would recommend and stay again!

We reserved the camper site for a long weekend in September and loved our site. They are right near the entrance to Spearfish canyon and it is beautiful there. June was super responsive to all of our questions which was great. It is very peaceful and quiet and we enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend. The site is concrete and there is water hookup which we loved. We have a 26ft camper and recommend backing the camper in for the smoothest transition. If we decide to come back to the Black Hills we would stay here again.
