Our 400 acre family cow and pine tree farm most of which was purchased 60 years ago by my father and mother. My two siblings and me were raised here and later bought joining land that now makes up the 400 acres. We all still live on the farm with our families 1.4 mile down a dirt and gravel road. We all enjoy the peace and quiet that you will find here. Sounds of our cows, wildlife and the occasional rumble of a distant train is all you will hear on our farm. Pick wild blackberries in early summer and wild grapes in late summer early fall, and we may share some of our home made jellies with you. We welcome family groups year round. We carved our 43 acre horse farm out of wild swampy land in 2007 and finished the barndeminium in 2008. We started with Hipcamp 6 years ago and enjoy meeting new people. My husband is retired from the Air Force and works full time doing the chores. I retired May 2024 from being a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner at Womack Army Medical Center. I have a side hobby making homemade jams, pickles and flavored goat cheese spreads. We love the peacefulness of where we live...although the weather chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys, guinea fowl, peacocks, goats and horses do get a little loud come feeding time. We have different sites, please read each description or message me before you book a stay. All the sites have an 8pm latest check in unless you've stayed with us before. With the cold snap we have been experiencing the RV water source will freeze up over night. Please message me before booking the RV. We are constantly looking for ways to upgrade or make our farm more fun to visit.

Really enjoyed this campsite! Travis & Kellie's directions were easy to follow, so I had no problems finding the site. The farm is peaceful, and I loved passing by the animals on my way in and out! They were communicative and quickly responded to any questions I had. Would definitely stay here again :)

We needed a place to stop over night and Double L fit the bill. Lisa, the host, was very responsive, welcoming, and met us at the gate to guide us to our spot. Since we were there only one night, we didn't get a chance to check out the farm attractions. It felt safe and not crowded at all. All the hookups were in good condition and easily accessible. Our only issue (and this was really on us) is that the electric was 50 amp and we have 30 amp. A quick drive to Wally world for an adapter that I had been meaning to buy anyway solved that problem. Quick access to the interstate got us on our way quickly the next morning. We would stay again. Thanks for the southern hospitality, Lisa!

What a fabulous campground! Lots of room between sites, a peaceful natural setting, and the hosts were so kind and welcoming. The darling bathroom and shower houses are rustic, while also clean and functional. We had everything we needed plus some. We can't wait to come back and visit again.

Stayed one night. just needed a safe place to sleep. Lots of privacy and multiple places to setup. I got in late around 10:30 but was setup and in my sleeping bag by 11:30 pm and slept straight through to 6 am.
Would book again. Janie stayed in contact with me as I was traveling and made sure I was set for the night before they turned in.

Dennis and Melissa were great hosts. They made sure we were welcomed and went above and beyond to give extra information about the area and history of the farm property. It was SUPER QUIET- which we were really looking for. Star views through the longleaf pines with whip-poor-wills calling in the distance was idyllic. The bathroom and shower (did not get a chance to use) were bonus amenities to our usual primitive camping. A great getaway! Thank you for offering these sites on hipcamp!

Easy stopover spot a handful of miles off of I-95. Lisa and Brian were super easy to work with. Double L has good "sense of place" -- off the beaten path, wake up to a misty neadow full of grazing cows, sun streaming through a grove of southern pine-- a nice slice of southern NC. Chatted with Brian about the rest of the farm operations (goat's milk and butcher shop) but we did not have time to visit these onsite establishments during our short stay. Bath facilities were clean and conveniently located.

Lovely campsite! The amenities are very thoughtful; there was a hammock, citronella candles (and a lighter!), a picnic table, solar lights, a campfire ready to burn, and a camping bathroom set up. The location was peaceful and private behind the horse pasture. Mandy was very communicative, and the instructions on how to get to the site were clear and helpful. I loved waking up to see the horses grazing. Would definitely stay again--I'll have to come back and meet the animals!
