At Heirloom Hamlet, you will see us designing unique, functional cottages, using solar energy, composting organics, sewing and reaping, in a way that is fair to our environment. We're bread baking, pasta making, timber milling, woodworking, clay-forming and metal pounding. The goal is to evolve into a small world of self-reliance and harmony with nature.
Through good design, our goal is to show just how "normal" slow, simple living can feel. We all have personal priorities, and those will vary greatly. But within that, we can all include ways of being respectfully mindful to the earth and to our neighbors.
Visiting with us, we sure hope our guests don't expect to find a corporate approach to life here, that they can appreciate our perspectives and some of our old-fashioned ways. Our presentation at Heirloom Hamlet has been purposefully designed to be a refreshing hideaway from the norm. You can imagine, it has been a ton of work, sacrifice and expense to create a very special camp atmosphere. Whippoorwill Farms SC is a 40 acre, regenerative working farm, where our main income comes from the sale of our meat, egg and vegetable products direct to consumer at local farmers markets, through our subscription service and at local restaurants!
We love opening up our farm for people to experience what farm life is like in a beautiful, wooded setting.
After moving our farm here to this land in October of 2019, we began the slow process of regenerating the land through the use of heritage animal species and permaculture. We have made a lot of progress on our property since then, and we continue daily to work to regenerate our little slice of land!
Walk our property and the see hundreds of pigs, thousands of chickens (we have the most chickens between March-December), cows and our two horses, Whiskey and Willow. Our livestock roam amongst the trees and forage in their natural environment. If you love nature and regenerative agriculture, you'll love exploring our farm and all we have to offer!

An incredible marsh front oasis. Beautiful sunsets, sunrises, and stars as far as the eye can see. A plethora of wildlife can be seen here. Don’t get too close to the pond, our resident alligator (Allen) is close to 9’ long! We also have active honeybee hives. Fireflies can be seen during the summer months. Bug spray is highly encouraged during warmer months.
Due to the absence of light pollution many long exposure milky way pictures have been taken!

Welcome to our page! Oak Grove Campsite is a beautiful, private campground near Savannah Ga. The campsite is nestled underneath one of our large oaks completed with plenty of room to roam around. Some of the features include a picnic table, large lighted firepit, hammock, wood swing, etc. We also have swings sets and a few other features for the kiddos.
Oak Grove Campsite is located approximately 30 min from downtown Savannah and 40 min from Tybee Island. The site has 30/50 amp and clean water hookups. We do not have sever hookups but here is a dump station located 15min from site.

This a very simple site for 1 or 2 self contained RV's. It has rural feel but less than 15 minute drive to downtown Beaufort or Parris Island or MCAS Beaufort. Located among live oaks and pines on a salt water tidal marsh. No amenities, just a pleasant and quiet parking area. It's flat but you might need some leveling depending on where you park.

We travel to and from the city on our electric bike bikes was easy and very safe plenty of off road bike paths.. he was very accommodating. There was water, sewer, and electricity. Me , My husband and my dog Sophia had a great stay at Catherine’s place . We arrived late and luckily we keep communicating with Catherine to find her place, she was waiting for us and greeted us, we felt special and at home . The place had plenty of room for our 37 ft fifth wheel and long bed truck . We will definitely recommend this place to anyone that wants to have a safe and comfortable spot .. 5 star ⭐️

We spent 6 nights during spring break with our 2 sons (6 and 15) and 4 dogs. It was a fun and interesting place to stay!
The campsite itself is large and private, despite its proximity to the main house. It’s separated from the other campsites, and the large live oaks with Spanish moss enhance the feeling of privacy.
The site was as described with power and water connections. There is no sewer or garbage, but we paid a nominal fee for trash and to dump our black/gray tanks at the campground on Hunting Island. There was a toilet tent and a solar, gravity shower tent just for our site. The toilet was a porta-potty type, but placed over a pit within the tent. It was clean and worked out fine for our stay. We used the shower in our camper, not the solar shower so I cannot review it.
Belinda and Tony were amazing hosts with fast response times and accommodated all our requests. My younger son loved all the free roaming animals. Belinda allowed him to interact with the animals as long as they came to our area of the property. These animals are not “pets” to be petted or picked up, but they are curious. My son would sit until the animals came to him so he could talk to them and he loved it. The fresh eggs were delicious too!
The location is great for Hunting Island, Port Royal, and Beaufort. We spent a lot of time on Hunting Island at the beach and the pier. We found shark teeth at Sands Beach and had a wonderful dinner in Beaufort.
This was a perfect base camp for our trip!

This site was super convenient for last minute camping accommodations. Stayed here to visit Savannah, and will be returning. Good spot on the way to and from Florida. Gas stations and highway nearby. Not private, tent spots are right next to each other, but it didn't bother us. No bathhouses, but portapotties weren't bad and were close. Super chill.

We had a great time! The host was very kind and helped us out with all the amenities. The campsite is tucked in the woods and is peaceful and private, only a 7 minute drive from the gorgeous beach state park. We loved seeing the farm animals, and the eggs that we bought were delicious. I would highly recommend this hipcamp and we will likely come back :)
