Weekend Trip to Edisto River Luxury RV Resort

What a beautiful spot. So quiet, peaceful, private. The facilities truly are luxurious, the bathroom and shower areas are spotless. Dustin is an amazing host, replied quickly when I had a couple of questions. We would have stayed longer but the weather was just too hot for camping in our rooftop tent. We did enjoy the screened gazebo with a ceiling fan in the evening, perfect for a hot summer night!

The setting was quiet and beautiful. Tidal marsh on one side and pasture on the other. Cows came strolling by shortly after sunrise and 2 VERY friendly donkeys stopped by for pets. A peaceful retreat. Thank you for sharing.

This is such a lovely place to camp. We were on the edge of the estuary and saw many species of birds. We had shade and dappled sun making it perfect for relaxing in our spot. The sites were well separated. We’d love to go back someday!!

Ron was a great host. He made sure we had plenty of fire wood every day and provided a large spot to walk our two dogs. The location was super close to everything Edisto had to offer. Ron's lot was super private and surrounded by the state park. Edisto was a super cute town with a very clean beach & no crowds. The restaurants around were all great too. We had a great time!

Wow, what an incredible find! This place is a total gem if you’re looking for peace, privacy, and jaw-dropping marsh views. It’s super secluded and quiet—perfect for unplugging and soaking in the beauty of nature. The sunrises and sunsets? Absolutely stunning, like something out of a painting. The bathroom outhouse blew me away—it’s honestly nicer than facilities I’ve seen in some fancy hotels! If you opt for the bathhouse add-on, it’s straight-up rustic glamping done right. The host was awesome, super friendly, quick to respond, and made everything so easy. It’s a bit of a drive to Beaufort or other spots, but trust me, the tranquility and privacy make it 100% worth it. The area feels safe, clean, and well-maintained, with quiet neighbors a few acres away. The road to Bennetts Point was smooth and recently fixed up, so getting there was no hassle at all. I’m already looking forward to my next stay—this place is special, and I can’t recommend it enough for anyone craving a peaceful escape!

Herd It Here is an awesome camping experience. Melissa went out of her way to greet us, get us settled, and then toured us around the farm. She answers all our questions about the animals and never made us feel rushed or like we were inconveniencing her, even though it was Easter weekend. Such a genuinely nice person and a wonderful host. I give the experience a 10 out of 10 for sure!

Liked how the kitchen, ned room and bathroom were all separated. This made using the restroom more comfortable. There was free wifi. There were real cool things for the kids to do. Rock wall, zip line, netting and tons of games. There was also laundry facilities. The couch pull out was really comfortable. It was pretty and the cats were cute. They also had a nice fireplace set up.

The Lowcountry is great for water sports, kayaking, boating, jet skiing, sailing, hiking and canoeing. Each season offers an opportunity to participate in fishing, crabbing, shrimping or digging for oysters in local waters. Our area is a favorite of cyclist groups, the long, flat, rural, scenic, roads offer pleasant riding experiences for cyclist of all ability levels. There are bike lanes on many of the major roads. Other recreational activities in our area are geocaching, horseback riding, tennis, golf, hiking, beach volleyball, beachcombing, and birdwatching. There are a few special events throughout the year, Gullah Festival-May, Water Festival-July, Shrimp Festival-October, Beaufort Food Truck Festival-October, Soft Shell Crab Festival-April, Pat Conroy Festival-November, Heritage Days Festival-November, Night on the Town-December.
