I tent camped on Leo’s property for 4 nights with my dogs while we were attending a dog show in the area. The indoor bathroom was clean and perfect for warm showers. The wifi was perfect for being able to work remotely for a couple days, but I did need to be a bit closer to the house for it to load quick enough for my job. I felt very safe staying here. It is a very beautiful property too. My dogs loved being able to play in the pond in the afternoons. The only notable concern I will add for people staying with dogs, is that the property is right off of a fairly busy side road. Thankfully, my four dogs stayed pretty close to my tent and the pond because the driveway was fairly long and the treeline helped block the view of the road. But if your dogs do not have good reliable recall or are prone to following their noses and turning their listening ears off, it would be best to have them on a tie out or long line and watch them very closely so they don’t wander onto the road and risk getting hurt.

We couldn't have asked for a better experience at Greg's site. The photos don't do justice to the beauty there or show the extent of the amenities offered (looks like the inside of the tent has been updated since they were taken), everything we needed and more. Just to set your expectations straight, it is not secluded. But still worth it. There were neighbors who made noise when we were there (talking into the night, operate machineries during the day) But surprisingly, it didn't bother us. We couldn't see them and still felt like we had privacy in our own world. There were some boats on the lake but people were friendly and passed by quickly. Some highlights: kayaking, serene morning with the mist covering the lake lifting ever so slowly, lying on the dock looking at the night sky, sitting on the swing watching leaves dance. We also appreciated the clean bathroom just steps away, comfortable bed, Greg's attention to details and especially that he kindly let us check out late. We've been raving about this place to everyone and would return in a heartbeat.

This place is phenomenal. You can see that the owners really care, everything is so nicely made in clean like I really upgraded Hotel.
The hot tub took me about six hours to get my desired temperature. Part of it was because I didn’t know. I have to close the door while it was burning.
But after all, it was well worth the work!
I have noticed over the years there are two types of places, one, is where the owner wants to make money and have no choice, but to serve so he can collect from his guest money. Two, an owner that wants to serve his guest, but has no choice and have to charge money in order to stay open and be able to serve more people
The owners from this place are from the second category, they want to give and serve their guest. You can feel it in every aspect.

We loved Nevin’s slice of paradise. It was my favorite Hipcamp spot so far after 5 trips total. Nevin met with us before and gave us a great map, which shows the half mile drive up the property to the wooded area.
There is a picnic table, fire pit with grilling grate, and plenty of firewood. Super flat campsites, and a huge pond with boat. We caught 20+ fish in 24 hours, lots of healthy 7inch sunfish and 12inch largemouth bass. Great stars at night, and not many people/houses nearby. We would definitely come back!

I stayed at this site for one night, and I enjoyed my stay!
The location was easy to find (using Google Maps), and was right off I-84, which made the travel convenient (from NJ).
The place was clean, and had all the amenities I could ask for, such as Electricy Outlet, Water, access to bathroom, WIFI, firepit, multiple benches, table /w lots of chairs and so on.
The pond was stocked with fish, and was the place I spent most of my time at.
I would definately be revisiting soon!

Greg's property is awesome, much better than the photos! The room is great - very comfortable bed, roomy fridge, tons of outlets, and even a small TV! The deck and outdoor spaces are also awesome - we grilled all weekend and enjoyed time by the lake, making campfires and just relaxing. The view is so beautiful and serene. Multiple stores and restaurants are only an 11-minute drive away. We 100% plan on coming back next summer!

Beautiful property! One of the best camping spots we've found! Very quiet and secluded but just a short trip to town if need be. The kids had so much fun being able to play near the pond the entire time and going out on the boat. No luck with fishing but it was still fun trying. Host was very friendly and responded quickly.

I booked our stay on Hipcamp. Nowhere on the site did it say you could not drive up to your campsite. Ferncrest’s own site says that but it was not on Hipcamp that I saw. That really was something that I was extremely disappointed in. The whole purpose of renting there was so that we wouldn’t need to unload all of our gear and reload it back up. We wanted to leave our camping gear in our truck and pull things out as needed. Although there was a driveway at the campsite and a perfectly good circle road around the campsite, Ferncrest had it blocked off and we had to bring all of our gear down to it with a wagon. We chose this to save ourselves from all of the camping hassles. So I personally probably would not come back.
With that said … Ferncrest was AMAZING in every other aspect!! I would HIGHLY recommend it.
The tent itself was beautiful, clean, and comfortable. The view was exquisite!! The beds made us all want to stay in them. The owners were very thoughtful of the needs of their guests.

Peaceful night, just a little traffic noise. Pretty pond and picnic area, but there is no post with utilities at the pond as shown in photos. We had to park right by the host's house. I met the host for a minute when he directed us into the drive. His listing says no physical address, so we ended up going past his driveway. There is a mailbox with a number in front of the driveway. The driveway is right after turning onto his road. Good for a night's stop, but not very private for a camping trip.
