The Beaver Lodge is a single-site glamping retreat tucked in the woods just outside Honesdale, PA. The site features two ponds and roughly five acres of quiet forest to yourself.
Our site sits beside Spinner Pond. You'll arrive by a short wooded walk (about 3 minutes), or catch a ride in on the UTV — we're happy to shuttle guests and gear. At the waterfront, there's a fire circle, two Adirondack chairs, and a canoe with paddles. Fishing and wildlife watching from the pond edge are genuinely excellent: bald eagles, beavers, deer, ducks, and the occasional black bear on the far end of the property are regular visitors.

The site includes a two-burner propane stove with fuel, picnic table, and a second waterside fire pit. Potable water, a composting toilet, and a gravity-fed outdoor shower are all on-site. The camp is tucked behind our home, so you'll feel completely private — no other structures in view. We're nearby if you need anything, and we mean that.

Relax in a secluded, comfortable tent while enjoying the music of the frogs. The land is a mix of cleared and wooded areas with a half acre pond. In the spring the pond comes alive with the singing of frogs and the blinking of fireflies. Enjoy a campfire in the evening and a brilliant display of stars. The pond is nice for swimming or paddling. We provide a kayak or just sit on the dock or relax in the hammock.
The village of Callicoon is a ten minute drive with great restaurants, a brewery, distillery, wine bar, grocery store, vintage shops, live music and a wonderful farmers market on the weekend. From town, you can also book a canoe trip on the Delaware River. Bethel Woods Center for the Arts is a 15 minute drive for great concerts and an interesting museum. There will be a list in the tent with suggested activities in the surrounding area if you choose to go exploring.
We provide kindling, firewood, bedding, fresh eggs from our chickens and brownies from our kitchen. There is a small cupboard attached to the picnic table with everything you will need for meals on the campfire. A cooler is provided, please bring your own ice. There will be 2 large jugs of water at the site and additional water at the handwashing station on the back side of the outhouse. The site offers total privacy. Parking is within a couple minutes walk to the site and there will be a cart to help you transport your gear.

Nestled in the foothills of the New York Catskills 150 miles Northwest of New York City is a place called Paradise Falls. It was named many years ago and as soon as you arrive you will see why the name was chosen. It has been in our family for almost 100 years. You can still see remnants of the gristmill that use to operate there. Many great memories have been made at the Falls and we now want to share our slice of paradise with you.
The rolling creek, a feeder searching for it's mama - the Delaware River - runs down the mountainside and over the rocks to give power and life to the falls. The steady flow makes you think you are far from civilization. But not really - only a short hike and you travel from the falls to a dirt road to a paved highway in a matter of a few minutes.
Over thousands of years and a few hundred year floods nature has made this wonderful cave-like formation under and behind the waterfall. The flat rock is a great place to picnic and enjoy the tranquility of the water. The trees surrounding the area make a fitting canopy for this unique campsite.
The mountain behind is great for climbing and a short walk down the creek will get you to the base of Jensons Ledges. The ledges are a steep hike up a mountain to a spectacular vista. Definitely worth the time and effort it takes to get there.

Our farm is home to herds of White-Tailed Deer, Wild Turkeys, Painted Turtles, Red-Tail Hawks, my Off-The-Track Thoroughbred horse, chickens, ducks, and Aslan, my Cocker Spaniel. Birdsong, frog song, the babbling creek, and the thundering hooves of Deva will serenade you to sleep.
During your stay, you're welcome to hike, swim, and fish in the pond. Boating and fishing opportunities abound nearby, in the Delaware River or the famous fly-fishing creeks. Bethel Woods is a mere 20 minutes away. Other nearby activities include Farmers' Markets, breweries, farm-to-table restaurants, antique dealers, flea markets, art galleries, an Alpaca farm, golfing, horseback riding, and exploring numerous hiking trails.

All lodging sites have heating for your comfort and are available year round! The River's Edge campsites sit on the shoreline of the Delaware River at the western edge of New York State overlooking the mountains of Pennsylvania. Our canvas tents and open air platforms perch between the river and the former Delaware & Hudson Canal which was once was used to transport raw goods by barge to New York City via the 'port' of Port Jervis. The remnants of the canal walls are throughout the property including a 300 person theater which we created to both preserve and feature this industrial history. It also makes a great place for an event or a movie night.
Today, the original canal towpath, along which barges would be pulled and floated downstream, is a trail that links all of the campsites over 5 acres and at the furthest end an eel fishing camp that is in operation from June to October.
In the early 1900s, the train replaced the canal as the primary method of moving goods into New York and if you are lucky — you will hear the train rumble by along the river on the Pennsylvania side. There is something spectacular in the absolute still and grandness of the river, the mountains and the ongoing industrial history of the valley. It is a reminder of the way things used to be.
The farmhouse and cabins are located opposite the campsites on other side of route 97. Next to them are 50 acres of wild forest to hike and explore. These accommodations are great for guests who want more amenities but still with easy access to river. Pair campsites and cabins so that all your guests have their best experience.
Contact us to coordinate for larger group bookings. Please note that a significant portion of county tax/fees and cancellation or change fees may be avoided by booking the base amount of people (4) and at a much later date adding extra guests. Guests NOT occupying canvas tent (lodging) and bringing their own tents should not be paying an occupancy tax but there is no provision for this in the app. We do not want our guests paying taxes -- that benefit no one but useless bureaucracy! Our family’s stay at Beaver Pond was nothing short of magical! Brendan and his family (and their dog) were incredible hosts, and truly thought of everything. Brendan was super communicative and answered all of my questions, including where to get live bait for fishing (shoutout to Sunrise Market)! The tent was clean, the bed was comfortable, and we had everything we needed for cooking over the fire. My 7 year old caught two fish, my 3 year old played with worms and slugs, and my husband finally got the chance to use his flint and steel!! Our dog had the absolute time of his life, exploring the woods, swimming and even chasing away a few deer. This was our first Hipcamp experience, and it truly couldn’t have gone any better. The site struck the perfect mix of roughing it but not needing to do everything from scratch. We will definitely be coming back!

This was our second time at Paradise Falls and we can't wait to go back. I have to remember for next time that the site is so clean and well equipped that you truly don't need to take much gear with you at all. As someone who has a hard time sleeping, between the pitch black darkness and the soothing sound of the waterfalls, I slept soundly and peacefully every night we spent there. 100/10 would recommend. The hillside retreat was private, fully stocked with everything one needs to have a relaxing worry free and comfortable stay. They even left dog treats for our pup!
Additionally, we had the privilege of camping during a tornado warning. Lydia and Robert allowed us to wait it out in a secure location, as we were rather frightened. We arrived back to the site to see everything was fully in tact even among intense winds that toppled trees in neighboring properties. A testament to the stability and security of their tent, platform, and other amenities. The space is also fully manicured, not a single branch on the ground even after the winds!
Wonderful weekend, filled with excitement, kindness, and generosity all around.

Dreamy and dynamic property/ campground with trails, beautiful creek, and privacy- even a clean outhouse and hot shower if needed! Our hosts were super welcoming and very accommodating. We had some pretty intense weather and they made sure to alert us and make certain we were safe. Would love to camp here again. My friends and i had an amazing weekend at the property and surrounding town. Very much recommend to true nature lovers that look for a more serene and private campground. ! A great experience. Clean, quiet, great outhouses at each site. Watched bald eagles fish from our own riverside chairs. Everything was set when we got there. Close to river rafting tours. Easiest camping I have ever done. Caught some fish too

This site is beautiful! My husband and 5mo and I had a great time. The Sunrise site is great for families and nice and private. We stayed for 3 nights and didn’t even leave the campsite the whole time. We loved hanging down by the river and waving at boaters as they floated by. Bed was comfortable and tent was clean. If children are staying in the top bunk I would just advise bringing a couple portable bed rails - we would have if our son was older. Thomas is a lovely host and very helpful. We will be back for sure!

My sister and I glamped this weekend at site 2!
It was an absolutely amazing time🙌❤️🔥. It was a great retreat into nature and I could see it as a place for a writer or an artist to just have the space to let their creativity flourish.
I think many naturalists have dreamed of going to a space where all they see is nature but also needed that cozy bed and a flushing toilet. 😅
We visited the waterfall at Salt Springs State Park and the Woodbourne Forest Wildlife Preserve, which is a must see especially with the water lillie’s in bloom 😍.
Lots of bird sightings this weekend including some I’ve never seen or heard. I had @merlin.bird.id going almost the entire trip. I would verify the sound and made quite a few birds upset because they were looking for where the bird calls were coming from and not seeing a bird!
I also put up the moth sheet one night and got a bunch of photos. I don’t bring any ID books and INat was being slow so I’m no sure of everything I saw but I did know the Rosey Maple Moth and it’s fuzzy self.
Overall 10/10 would recommend!
We also bought our meat from the farm stand there and it was absolutly delicious especially cooked in a cast iron pan over the campfire. ❤️

My sister and I planned a long weekend and stayed in Site #2. It was my first experience glamping - though my husband and I travel in an RV often. I was completely blown away by all of the amenities our site provided. We barely missed having electricity! I would 100% recommend this site to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway.

What a wonderful weekend on the farm!
We experienced the joys of camping in nature, but with some luxuries you won’t find in tent camping. The cabin was spacious and comfortable. We loved that you could walk right out of the cabin to a very large, fully covered deck with a picnic table and a long thin table/bench to prepare food, etc. Right behind the cabin and deck is a peaceful creek that helped us cool down after unpacking all of our belongings. Our daughter loved being able to go searching for the goats and was thrilled with her daily visits from the friendly barn cat, Mousakka. Our host was warm, welcoming and informative, giving us a thorough tour of the farm and answering any questions we had. There were clean bathrooms and hot showers in the building next to us. Cooking and cleaning was easy with the fire pit and outdoor sink. We really couldn’t have asked for a better camping experience and we hope to be back next year!

What a peaceful quiet spot! The cabin was perfect, the water gorgeous. We had one night of a bad storm, but everyone stayed dry. Loved it and hope to come back again soon!

1 night at Hippie Havens: A Groovy Retreat
From the very beginning to end of our stay at Shaggy and Kendra’s we were so well taken care of. The accommodations were clean, labeled, and perfectly prepared. Right when we walked in, we could tell they put a lot of care into making sure we had everything we could want and need for our stay. The hot tub and tv set up right next to the sauna is so well thought out with tables and water proof bags. We did the pizza extra and it was so delicious! There were plenty of kitchen utensils, and they wrote out instructions so we could make our pizza’s perfectly! There were also plenty of games, books and records for us to be away from our devices but not bored. We look forward to making this a regular getaway for us when we need to reconnect and unwind from the hustle and bustle. We can’t thank y'all enough!

We had a lovely 4th of July weekend at Journey's! The cabin was spacious and the outdoor space was lovely. The location is also great for getting to good hiking areas and not far from Scranton.

I loved the camping experience we had at the River Edge Canal! We are already planning our next trip! We had a bad rain but the host, Thomas and his family made sure that we are safe and comfortable. We really felt that we are taken care of. We brought our 2 dachshunds and they had so much fun as well! They went swimming by the river. The tent setup is complete and we even had two kids but they did not have a problem. They enjoyed themselves! We loved it and we will really come back soon.
