Six years later, the first tree was sold and since then, the farm has expanded its operations to Bernville, Pa. Camp on our 16 acre Christmas tree farm in an Amish neighbors with horses. Within 30 minute drive to Hershey park, Mt Gretna , Lebanon, Lancaster, Harrisburg, York. Enjoy hiking and biking trails nearby and the many attractions. We have excellent cell reception on our farm. Great view for star gazing and sunsets. Firewood available for purchase. We have a stone parking lot for RV campers. Two sites can also accommodate RV’s. We will reserve these sites. Tent campers can set up in the trees and lanes. An outdoor portable toilet is available and water is available at an outside spigot. We are open April through October. We have 6 sites available with fire pits. You are able to drive and park next to the site. Sites are available first come first served. We have no way to dispose of human waste. Absolutely no disposing of human waste on the property or in the trash. There will be a fine. We are flexible with check-in and check-out times if we are not at full capacity. Just let us know ahead of time. We allow dogs. They must be on leashes unless they are friendly and play well with others. You must clean up your dog's poop! No exceptions! We are 5 minutes from the Schuylkill River. 10 minutes from Ontelaunee Lake. 15 minutes from Blue Marsh. 15 minutes from the Appalacian Trail. Trail heads nearby Port Clinton, Hamburg, Bernville, Bethel, Blue Rocks, Kempton... 20 minutes from Hawk Mountain. We are an hour from Jim Thorpe. There are several wineries in the area including Long Trout Winery where wine is cool and hippy chicks rule! My favorite! Lots of wildlife. Expect to hear owls, blue heron, cows, goats, chickens, hawks, eagles, dogs, racoons and coyotes. Racoons will steal food that is not put away or in coolers. Deer may walk past in the middle of the night. Hiking, kayaking, tubing, fishing, mountain biking, bike trails, etc... all nearby. Sadly there are no fish in Irish Creek worth catching. The Crayfish are! As with any land situated along a water source, there is always a possibility of flooding. We flood maybe once a year, once every other year. If that should happen, we will assist in hauling gear. There is higher ground for tents to be set up if need be. There will also be rooms available to rent in the near future. We are 5 minutes from the Schuylkill River. 10 minutes from Ontelaunee Lake. 15 minutes from Blue Marsh. 15 minutes from the Appalacian Trail. Trail heads nearby Port Clinton, Hamburg, Bernville, Bethel, Blue Rocks, Kempton... 20 minutes from Hawk Mountain. We are an hour from Jim Thorpe. Absolutely beautiful dairy farm and we had the opportunity to take an impromptu hay ride with corn maze employees to check out the Christmas Village which amazing. “A little slice of Americana”. DJ and Loretta were super nice and let us explore the whole farm, talk to the all the cows. This ended up being our favorite stop on our ten day (ten different campsite) roadtrip! The dogs were a little overwhelming at first, jumping on our car and barking at us as we unpacked… but by morning we had made three new best friends 🐕 they slept by our tent through the night and protected us, they kept us company and my son loved playing with them. The pasture was well kept and they had the best portapotty I think I’ve ever been in. It didn’t smell at all (no idea how that’s possible) and had string lights, sanitizer, a mirror, etc. The sheep were a joy to wake up next to and pet- one came right up to the fence when we walked over! The alpaca was cute and the host communicated well too. Our family favorite!

I l-l-l-loved everything about it! A beautiful ride. Arrived at the barn and was met be our charming host. A walk/ride past the farm animals to a seclude area up on a hill. The yurt was so cozy and inviting. Best cot ever. I will never sleep on an air mattress again! Great for one or two people. Plenty of spa e for additional tents if you need that. Big fire pit and LOTS of wood. Easy to cook on the fire pit but bonus propane grill and really convenient and stocked prep/kitchen area. Even soap and water dispenser setup for ease of cleanup. Delicious icy cold well water for drinking, too. We were also gifted some of their honey and eggs 🍀 Then there’s the farm! What a sweet experience. We got to feed the animals and collect the morning eggs. Walk to the Brandywine Nearby Creek for a beautiful walk along. I recommend! This is a special place!

Our time in the treehouse was magical. It was my 13 year old son and I. He is 6’1” and he was able to comfortably sleep in the loft. Bill and everyone at Fairview Farms was welcoming, friendly and helpful. The stargazing was phenomenal; I highly recommend a dip in the hot tub under the stars. I would recommend bringing a heated blanket in the colder months. I brought ours and it was the perfect mix of cold and snuggly warm. There is a heater that works like a charm, with the blanket we only used it during the day.

We had a wonderful time camping at site 2 at Tom's place. It was so peaceful and beautiful and a short walk away from some great trails at the next door neighboring park. Room was a great host. He spent a while with us to show us around, introduce us to his goats, chickens and geese, and tell us the history of the area and his property. He had a working bathroom, a coffee machine, which was awesome because i forgot my coffee, and we bought a dozen of his farm eggs. After that he gave us our space and privacy but let us know he was available if we needed him. We can't wait to come back.

We stayed at Fairview Farms Airfield in Pine Grove, Pennsylvania, and it was one of the most peaceful weekends we’ve had in a long time. The property is beautiful, surrounded by rolling hills and open fields that make you instantly relax. It’s quiet, private, and feels like a place where time slows down. Bill was great to talk with—friendly, easygoing, and made sure we had what we needed. The site was level and easy to set up our camper. We really appreciated the thirty dollars a day for unlimited firewood. That was a nice touch, and we made sure not to take advantage of it. Sitting by the fire at night with the stars out and the moon glowing over the ridge was perfect. My dog loved it too, watching everything from the camper window and enjoying the calm. The place has a simple charm that makes you want to stay longer. We’ll definitely be back.

I had a great night camping at Mel's! She was so thoughtful and nice to talk to, helped me get set up for the night, and showed me around the property so I felt very safe and had a relaxing evening and night. It was lovely meeting Bear the dog and the cats on the property as well, such sweethearts. The campsite was a good size, was decorated for the upcoming holiday, and had plenty of privacy from the road. Beautiful clear starry skies. I'm glad I stayed at Mel's along my trip!

Weekend Trip to Scenic Turtle Ridge

We had a great weekend camping at Tom's place. Site 2 was private and wooded. We loved interacting with the goats. Tom was an excellent host, and having a real bathroom available was a big plus for my group. You do have to cart your belonging down a hill (and back up when you leave), but sturdy carts are provided, and it maintains the peace and quiet of the camping spots. Would definitely recommend to others.
