The campsite is nestled on a wooded knoll alongside Pohopoco Creek.
Featuring a 10' x 12' canvas tent erected on a wooden platform, furnished with a queen-size futon mattress atop a bed frame, we provide essential amenities for a comfortable stay. Guests can expect a battery-operated sprayer for rinsing off, battery-operated lanterns, tiki torches, a small charcoal grill, charcoal, lighter fluid, fire starter, and the first night's firewood. Additionally, a 5-gallon container of fresh drinking water and bedding are supplied. For extra campers, a secondary tent is available; however, extra bedding for this tent is not provided.
The primary tent comfortably sleeps 4 individuals, with the secondary tent serving as additional sleeping quarters.
For privacy and convenience, a separate tent houses rustic toilet facilities. This year we are upgrading our primitive toilet to a composting toilet in a wooden outhouse.
Although the listing specifies a maximum of 6 campers, we can accommodate a greater number with advance notice.
Guests are encouraged to bring their own food, beverages, and a deep appreciation for the tranquil symphony of water, wind, and birdsong. This is truly a serene retreat.
We provide firewood for the first night and have more onsite for purchase at $5 per bundle using a QR code and self-service wood station.
Use of golf cart for transport to and from the campsite to parking area is now included in the booking price.

Camp Blackbird is a 28 acre property that runs along Beltzville State Park in Carbon County, PA. So besides the camp, there is an additional 3,002-acres of state park to explore. There are a total of 2 sites.
The land was vacant for decades and unfortunately used to dump household garbage during that time. We cleaned up the land, built a home and bat habitat. We, Sarah and Stein, always disliked renting a camp site somewhere and then ending up on top of people.
So it was our goal to make space on our land for campers like us that want to be surrounded by nature, not other camp sites.
A portion of the proceeds from your stay will be donated to bat habitat conservation and bat sanctuaries around the world.
We are grateful for the hundreds of campers that have stayed with us. Thank you to all of you that have left a clean site and not made unnecessary noise that would disturb the countless species that share the forest with us. Also, Thank You for patronizing local businesses while you are here.
We'll give you a map so you can see where to take a short walk to get to the lake.
There are miles of hiking trails a few minutes walk from your campsite.
Beltzville Lake is a great place for paddling. The boat launch is just a few minutes drive from Camp.
In addition to the beautiful immediate surroundings, we are centrally located near many exciting destinations. Year round activities at Blue Mountain Resort, adventure on The Appalachian Trail, fine dining, biking the rail trail and whitewater rafting in Jim Thorpe, all within a 25 minute drive.
The property is not suitable for parties or events.
The area is a QUIET ZONE. Ideal for people looking to unplug from it all and become one with nature. It is teaming with wildlife and is ideal for birding.
The hosts mission is to disturb wildlife and its habitats as little as possible.
VERY IMPORTANT - NO PARTIES or unregistered guests on the property. There are other campgrounds in the area that are great for people who want to party.
We welcome pets.

- FIREWOOD: We have firewood for sale for $7 per crate. You can pick and crate your wood at the wood pile on the grounds at your convenience. Please bring cash if possible or get in touch at the end of your stay to pay via Venmo, PayPal, or Zelle.
-We have a variety of wildlife in the area, including BLACK BEARS. Please follow 'Leave No Trace' protocols and be mindful of trash and food throughout your stay. Keep your coolers in your vehicles and take garbage to the dumpster frequently. We have a dumpster available to you on the grounds.
-Check in is contactless. Upon booking, you will receive directions to your site.
**If you would like to stay for one night during the week or one night on a weekend during November-April, please get in touch and I can adjust the booking specifications. Journey's End Farm is a small family farm offering a diverse selection of ecologically grown vegetables, maple syrup, and free-range eggs. Everything that we sell is grown or produced on-site with the intention of nurturing the soil and ecology of the land. From 1939-2020 our family ran a summer sleep-away camp for children on the farm, with an emphasis on caring for each other and the land. Located in a small valley at 1400 feet of elevation, our fields and woods are home to a broad diversity of native plants and animals. Our family has been caring for this land since 1926, but before European colonization it was home to the Lenape people from whom it was forcibly taken. Acknowledging this fact and working to expand awareness of Indigenous cultures and their rights is important to us.
While at the farm, besides the amenities listed in each listing, you are welcome to hike or walk around and explore our farm which has many acres of woodland, creeks, springs, a pond, and open fields. A hot day is a great time for a walk along - or in - the creek. A rainy day brings out the Red Efts - beautiful orange newts that are all over the woods when you know where to look. This campsite provides a great location to use as a base for day hikes. The tent site is situated beneath a canopy of two large Red Oak trees. This property was formerly a farm and has since grown back to a pioneer Hardwood Forest. There are stone rows throughout the farm and some areas that have been cleared of invasive vegetation and planted with native grasses to enhance the deer population.
We suggest day hikes such as Catfish Fire Tower, Van Campen's Glen, and Buttermilk Falls. Here's a list of our recommendations for hiking, fishing, and just plain old exploring:
The Delaware Water Gap National Recreational Area (DWG) and nearby Walpack Fish and Wildlife Management Area in Layton have many hiking trails (See the National Park Service's website). Great areas for sightseeing, hiking, biking, fishing, hunting.
Buttermilk Falls, (trailhead on) Mountain Road in Layton. Hike to the top of the beautiful waterfalls near Walpack and take a 6.8 mile loop trail to Crater Lake.
Walpack Inn, National Park Service Rd 615, Layton. A beautiful restaurant with an entire back wall of windows with a view of the Kittatinny Valley. The Walpack is open on weekends for dinner only.
Appalachian Trail (AT). Check out the AMC Mohican Outdoor Center located along the trail in Blairstown. The AT runs through the DWG. \
Long Pine Pond amp; Crater Lake in Walpack. Both are spring fed and great for swimming and boating (clear water).
Van Campen's Glen, Old Mine Road, Hardwick. The 2.1 mile loop trail features several cascades and waterfalls, a narrow stone valley, and a lush hemlock ravine.
Catfish Fire Tower, Millbrook Road, Hardwick. A rocky 2.0 or longer 4.4 mile hike to the top of the ridge. Great views on NJ and PA.
Also check out "Hiking Our Preserves" on the Ridge and Valley Conservancy's website for information on 4 local hiking trails.
Delaware River- Great for swimming, boating, tubing, canoeing, fishing. Keep your eye out for Bald Eagles!
White Lake - 97 Stillwater Rd. Hardwick, NJ 07825.
The Paulinskill (Blairstown) and FlatBrook (Old Mine Road, Hardwick) rivers are local spots for trout fishing.
On Saturdays during the summer, you may want to try out the Blairstown Farmers Market on Stillwater Road. Hours 9:30 to 1:00 pm.

Hundred Mile View is really special! The campsites are open-air (this is not forest camping), which means starry skies at night. The sites are not too close together, and the portapotty actually has a flushing toilet and sink with soap, t.p. and paper towels. All the sites have the same beautiful view over the valley, good picnic tables and stone firepits. If you head to the village (Jim Thorpe town), there is plenty to do! We will be back!

Our time at 100 Mile View was the greatest way to kick off our camping season. It’s obviously in the name, but the pictures and reviews don’t do it justice. There was a constant breeze and tons to take in from up there. Port-o-potties are at most corners and well maintained. Make sure you arrange for firewood before you come out, we were later than expected so didn’t have any for the first night but Jake was very helpful getting us two bags for the rest of our time. Just one disclaimer: these sites are not super private. Not that it is a problem but we have little kids so we worried about disturbing neighbors. If that’s something you’re comfortable with you have to check this place out!

This site has an amazing view, especially if you go during the time of the year where the trees aren't fully leafed out. At night, it's really neat to relax at camp with a bit of a city skyline feel from all the lights out there. You're close to a main road, so you hear some cars, but it's a unique camping experience from the norm and worth a stay. The other campsite isn't super close, so it felt private. Porty potty was very clean. Hosts were friendly and helpful.

The views from our site did not disappoint! We camped in a 20' travel trailer, but everyone around us was in tents. It's on top of the mountain (We're talking PA mountains here - elevation maybe 1500 feet or so), and it's open, so there was a fairly constant wind that made it feel colder, but it also made it easy to keep our campfire going once started. There are trash cans and well-maintained porta-johns (the nice ones with a foot-pedal sink) nearby. Jake is very helpful and comes through the camp with firewood for sale at a lower price ($12) than you could buy in town. The campsite is only 10-15 minutes from Jim Thorpe, and there are lots of things to see and do in the area. We'll be back!

Roundstone is a special place. Buckhorn cabin was cozy and clean. The outside area was well-maintained and the porta-potties were clean and a very short distance away. The land is beautiful — the pond, stream, little waterfall and evergreens were wonderful. The area felt peaceful and secluded. We took long walks, enjoyed meals at the outside picnic table and inside table, and had fires (and appreciated the convenience of being able to buy firewood on the honor system). With temps into the mid-30s at night, I was worried we’d be cold, but the space heaters kept us warm. We hope to be back soon.

Sweet private spot not far from the Delaware Water Gap, perfect backup when the state campgrounds are full. Friendly, responsive hosts.
