The 66-acre property has been licensed as an airport (PS20) since the 1980s. It is currently an active, private airport. We don't sell fuel or offer services beyond camping so we primarily have only air traffic with few to no landings each year. In other words, it is very quiet here except during the occasional low pass. We are very eager for pilots to fly in and camp out! The beautiful sunsets and stargazing night skies are a real treat for anyone that comes to visit. Lots of deer, birds, and other wildlife can be seen out and about. Bring your telescope and binoculars to view all the property has to offer! Note that we are always working to improve our slice of heaven, thus we do have tools, vehicles, and equipment stored around the farm that if not used now will be one day. We appreciate your understanding that some areas are used for our personal / farm storage. If you're not into looking at our farmware, there are a few nearby campgrounds. The hot tub is located next to the owner's home. Guests are welcome to use this at any time but must reserve and pay for a time slot. * Book this through the Extras * We are within walking distance of Swatara State Park and close to the Appalachian Trail. The history of the Pump House began in 1878, when three ambitious men hatched a plan for the world's first long-distance underground oil pipeline which would transport oil from well to refinery more quickly and efficiently than the horse-drawn wagons of the time. Pumping stations were needed every fifty miles along this long route to keep pressure on the pipeline so that the oil could reach its destination. Pump House Bed and Breakfast is one of the only properties in the country in which the both the original homes of the foremen and the large brick buildings remain. Doug, owner, has spent more than 20 years lovingly restoring these foreman houses as well as the large industrial brick buildings. The Brick Barn Hall once housed steam pumps to pressurize the pipe and keep the oil moving, and the Catawissa Cabin behind it served as the telegraph office. The Studio Hall contained boilers that produced the steam to power the pumps, while the adjoining Studio Cabin functioned as a blacksmith's workspace. Today, the buildings function as reception spaces for weddings and other special events, and house private suites as well as an art studio where Doug pursues his work and teaches drawing, ceramics, and stained glass classes. Welcome to our little slice of heaven along Pine Creek at the southern end of the "PA Grand Canyon". It is an outdoor lover's dream. The camp lies inside of Tiadaghton State Forest on the west side of Pine Creek in the Pennsylvania Wilds. The property is 5 acres, embedded deep in public land. On the property there is this one very large campsite (approx 100 square ft) for rent and our small cabin. There is a 62 mile -rails-to-trails that runs along the other side of Pine Creek from Wellsboro to Jersey Shore, PA. Our camp is located on a secluded hill - a relaxing oasis removed from the rest of the world - read a book in a hammock, build campfires, grill yummy food, let the kids run around like crazy, play a lot of cards. It a 2 minute walk from the property to public access to Pine Creek. It is a 45 minute drive to paddle the Western Branch of the Susquehanna near Lock Haven, PA.

We cater to couples in this setting. The Hut consists of one room with a Queen bed. We provide all bedding and towels. Enjoy sleeping in our enchanted forest designed shepherds hut. Keep the windows open to listen to the sounds of the creek as it lulls you to sleep. Or, if you re too hot or cold, turn on the portable A/C & heating unit! You will have access to electricity to charge your devices, make coffee and turn on lights! There is no wifi out here, but you can use your own cellular data for internet needs. If you have a child, we can provide a futon, bedding and set of towels for an additional cost of $25. (Keep in mind that the Hut and surrounding area is not child proofed inside/out and open waterway is very close to the hut.) Please let us know as soon as possible so we can have the futon available for your stay. Glamping here is fantastic! You will have a private outdoor shower to use right next to the Hut. Hot water available seasonally. Please confirm with host as to hot water availability. Biodegradable body wash, shampoo, conditioner, hand soap/dish soap is provided and we ask that you use the provided products to help us protect our natural surroundings - especially the creek. Please keep in mind that water provided to the shower and outdoor sink is not drinkable (not potable), however, we do provide water for drinking/cooking/brushing teeth that is from a 5 gallon bottle with pump dispenser. A separate toilet room is available right next to the hut as well. It is equipped with a bucket toilet which requires eco- bags and kitty litter (both provided). The full bags are then tied and disposed of in a larger outdoor trash can just outside. Use the fire pit just outside the hut for grilling or use the gas grill with burner that faces the creek. Basic kitchen supplies are provided (please refer to pictures for details). There is also a picnic bench facing the creek. Walk the trail through the property and enjoy the cool shade. Pack a picnic and enjoy eating on the moss covered boulders next to the water, play games in the yard, snooze in a hammock, meditate by the creek or take a swim in the swimming hole. Enjoy privacy while in the hut, or join us on our morning chores (we live in a house on the property), by feeding the animals and gathering fresh eggs. During the day, cross the bridge over the creek to get to the beautifully maintained Conewago Recreation Trail where you can walk or ride bikes. Our rural setting is a relaxing spot to stay after a day of seeing the sites or visiting Hershey Park just 15 minutes away. We are 10 minutes to the train station which will take you to all the surrounding major cities - DC, NY, Philly and others for a day trip too! Experience a bit of history while staying in the Shepherd's Hut. The houses, grist mill and bank barn were built with sandstone brought to the property by wagonloads in the 1770's. Just think! This homestead was built before the Declaration of Independence was signed and the Revolutionary War began! Stay in or explore the 40 acres of property consisting of woodlands, creek and farmland. Weekend Trip to Seven Mountains Campground

I loved the tiny home. My partner and I had a great time. Definitely bring cooking equipment though if you plan to cook. I wasn’t sure whether to bring any, and saw it said it had basic cooking equipment but it wasn’t much to work with. Other than that everything was great. Easy to navigate and arrived without issue. Came late so couldn’t find the cabin, but customer service was great and helped navigate us in the dark. Would definitely recommend and come back to the campground when it’s warmer out!

The property is easy to get to, yet it is remote enough to be wonderfully quiet and private. The over-all area is rich with farmlands and the dedicated people who provide us with our foods. There are not many areas of our USA that have the qualities of this part of Pennsylvania.

I love spending time at Craig's property. This was my second visit and somehow it was better than the first trip which was amazing. We weren't able to paddle bc the creek was down, and it wasn't impactful to our fun at all. Just book it! And if you can check out the nearby dirt race track BAPS, fun for kids and adults alike.

Cabin was amazing. Beyond clean, sleek, with modern functions. I got it especially for the hottub lol. Highly recommend checking out the antique stores in the area, and Big Valley antiques 40 mins away, a true shoppers haven. Can't speak for the food in the area since I brought my own. But well worth the trip and will tell all my friends.

Best campground I've stayed at, hands down. Neat as a pin, quiet, no amenity neglected or forgotten. Tiny house #80 is just perfect - you can't go wrong. Comfortable beds, lots of space (for at least 3 adults or more), great drip coffee (supplied), plenty of towels and TP, hot water galore, comfortable couch and dinner table, generously sized refrigerator and cool little kitchenette (and if it's your thing, 3 flat screen TVs - one in each BR!). I highly recommend Bellefonte Campground. We will be back!!

Weekend Trip to Wilson’s Boondock Hollow

This was our first time booking on Hipcamp and I’m so happy we found Michael’s place. It was peaceful, quiet, private and relaxing. The location was perfect for us, being a short drive to State College. The port-a potty was much appreciated and being able to take a hot shower was a pleasant surprise. Michael personally met us upon arrival to help guide us where to park our truck and pull behind trailer, and to show us how things worked. The hospitality made us feel very welcome and right at home.

I can’t say enough great things about our stay at White Squirrel Overlook! The views were absolutely breathtaking, and there was so much space to stretch out and unwind. We were in town for a dog sporting event, and it was such a gift to return each day to a hot, sparkling-clean shower after competing. Audra was wonderful to communicate with—friendly, responsive, and welcoming. We’re already looking forward to booking our next stay!

Great little spot! The host was very accommodating. She greeted us when we arrived and made us a special welcome packet. There was a hot shower for us and an outhouse which is a luxury while camping haha. All and all, my boyfriend and I really enjoyed our stay and will be booking here again in the future!

This was my second time at Craig’s space and it did not disappoint! Great eating, beautiful scenes and amenities galore. Me and four other friends set up a tent down by creek and woke up to some of the most beautiful sunrises I’ve seen in a while. If you’re into birding, we heard and saw all kinds of amazing feathered friends. Our dogs explored every inch of the property and we got a chance to kayak pretty far down the Conewago creek. Craig was a master host, incredibly responsive but gave us plenty of room to feel like the space was our own. I can’t recommend this spot enough!

Michael's camping spot was outstanding. He really went out of his way to help me out, was quick to respond and even gave me a personalized folder full of information of what to do in the area. The surrounding hills and countryside were outstanding. Nice open spot to camp on with my trailer. Would highly recommend seeking out Michael's camping spot if you're in that area of State College, Pennsylvania.
