The 66-acre property has been licensed as an airport (PS20) since the 1980s. It is currently an active, private airport. We don't sell fuel or offer services beyond camping so we primarily have only air traffic with few to no landings each year. In other words, it is very quiet here except during the occasional low pass. We are very eager for pilots to fly in and camp out! The beautiful sunsets and stargazing night skies are a real treat for anyone that comes to visit. Lots of deer, birds, and other wildlife can be seen out and about. Bring your telescope and binoculars to view all the property has to offer! Note that we are always working to improve our slice of heaven, thus we do have tools, vehicles, and equipment stored around the farm that if not used now will be one day. We appreciate your understanding that some areas are used for our personal / farm storage. If you're not into looking at our farmware, there are a few nearby campgrounds.

We are within walking distance of Swatara State Park and close to the Appalachian Trail. Short drive to the local winery, bowling alley, pub/diner, and movie theater. Grocery stores and gas are also nearby. Miles of hiking, rail trail, single-track mountain biking, and kayaking are all right here! See our kayak and bike rentals under extras!
Hershey Park is approximately a 30-minute drive from our location. Rausch Creek, Anthracite, and Reading off-road areas are also nearby.

Enjoy 8 beautiful, secluded acres on the Conewago Creek at Bald Hill, Northern York Co. My homestead was once part of the Conewago Turf Farm. It borders the creek a length of 1100 feet, mostly maintained with easy access. Camp is at the base of a steep section of the Conewago Mountains, creating privacy and protection from wind and afternoon sun. This is not a whole house rental. I have a one bedroom, queen size bed, kitchenette, private restroom and outdoor shower with on demand hot water. There's plenty of room for tent or van camping. Please see pictures for detail. I live in the house above the glamping quarters.
Plenty of good fishing and paddling here. I offer shuttle service for 1 or 2 day float trips, paddle in one day, paddle out the next day. Canoes, kayaks, paddles and PFD's are included in the price of your stay.
The Conewago is very beginner paddling but remote, very clean and full of wildlife. Gifford Pinchot State Park is 7 miles away. I have two paddle boards if you want to paddle the 3 mile lake. This adventure would require a short hike out to a parking area.
Relax in a wood fired Norwegian sauna and cook in a Peruvian wood fired earth oven or cook under the stars over an open fire. Firewood is also included. Foodies will rejoice here.
I live and work here, part time blacksmith and wood worker. I'll assist you in any way or do my best to stay out of your way.

There are 3 campsites and one cabin located in the gap of the little Mahanoy Mountain and line Mountain range along the little Mahanoy creek. All four campsites have creek access and come with picnic table garbage can and fire ring and Firewood is usually available. There are two Porta potty‘s one located at each end of the sites. There are trails for hiking which extends along an abandoned railroad bed and also up into State game lands and into the deep woods. The hiking in the woods is on an incline. But the hiking on the railroad bed is pretty unintense. There is parking at each site. The sites are spread out along the creek bed ranging from more of a rustic primitive tent camping on site 4 to an open site on site 1.

The history of the Pump House began in 1878, when three ambitious men hatched a plan for the world's first long-distance underground oil pipeline which would transport oil from well to refinery more quickly and efficiently than the horse-drawn wagons of the time. Pumping stations were needed every fifty miles along this long route to keep pressure on the pipeline so that the oil could reach its destination. Pump House Bed and Breakfast is one of the only properties in the country in which the both the original homes of the foremen and the large brick buildings remain. Doug, owner, has spent more than 20 years lovingly restoring these foreman houses as well as the large industrial brick buildings. The Brick Barn Hall once housed steam pumps to pressurize the pipe and keep the oil moving, and the Catawissa Cabin behind it served as the telegraph office. The Studio Hall contained boilers that produced the steam to power the pumps, while the adjoining Studio Cabin functioned as a blacksmith's workspace. Today, the buildings function as reception spaces for weddings and other special events, and house private suites as well as an art studio where Doug pursues his work and teaches drawing, ceramics, and stained glass classes. I absolutely loved the chapel in the woods! It was so magical and the surrounding areas were just gorgeous. We really enjoyed our time walking on local trails, birdwatching, and dipping our feet in the creek. The chapel itself stayed cool all night. If you want an amazing memorable experience close to home literally 30 40 minutes tops! You have to come here! When I say this renewed my soul I mean it with all of me! The beautiful land and I can’t say enough about the absolutely beautiful people Gini and her husband Kelly are. When they say they have everything just bring yourself and food they mean it! I had such a wonderful time I extended my stay and skipped the third spot I was going to go too. Every part of being here was everything! I didn’t want to go home! Lol this place is a must!!!!

Great stay! The cabin was exactly as described and offered the perfect escape from the crowds. The interior was cozy with everything you needed for a stay regardless of timeframe; Theresa was incredibly communicative and welcoming. I especially enjoyed the secluded atmosphere of the cabin and variety of unique animals on property. I highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for serenity and a unique experience. I can't wait to visit again!

Road tripping from northern New Hampshire and needed a place to stay, last minute request was quickly excepted by Jen with much relief. Jen's property is very nice and well maintained. The rustic post and beam cabin was cozy and comfortable, it even has a doggie door which leads out to a fenced in area. It also has a nice wood stove which came in handy on the cool and rainy evening. Jen was very friendly,communicated well and made sure all of our needs were covered. The the outdoor shower in the morning with hot and cold water was a bonus, would highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

The small cabin I stayed at was very nice and simple. I loved bird song in the mornings and transparent side of the roof. The site is secluded and easy to find at the same time. There was a plenty of fire wood outside and blankets inside so nights in thirties were quite manageable and even enjoyable. And don’t miss the opportunity to get breakfast if it gets offered to you, it was outstanding experience for small additional fee.

My husband and I always do rustic tent camping, but I’m 22 weeks pregnant so was looking for something in between. I felt like this place was what we were looking for!
PROS: Private site, weather proof cabin, bed, firewood comes with the site, and the $10 breakfast that is available is AMAZING.
CONS: Can slightly hear noise from the highway/road (some moments louder than others.) We are use to being deep in the woods when camping, so I think that’s why it was a con for us.

Bill and Erin are excellent hosts who really make you feel welcome. The location is facing the goats and cows, who are curious and friendly. You get a great view of their antics from the fireplace area outside. The other side of the RV faces empty fields and full of wildflowers and little groves of trees. It was so peaceful.
The RV was perfect for my three person family, but there was definitely enough sleeping space for more wirh rhe queen sized bed, bunk beds, and surprisingly comfortable couch. While located close to the hanger and the bathroom shared by all campers, the RV has its own bathroom with a little shower. There's a full kitchen, a grill under the storage compartment, and a full gas grill separate from the structure.
I would definitely stay again.

The chapel is such a beautiful historic building that was such an extraordinary warm experience. The land is beautiful, the chapel is in fantastic shape, the horses are a majestic touch!! It’s exactly as listed: no water, no electricity, so as long as you come prepared you will absolutely have a memorable time! I think this would make a great solo, romantic, or friend group outing. I had a great time camping in this adorable little chapel. Perfect weather for it in mid April. Make sure to bring enough lanterns/candles etc. I'm definitely not used to such dim lighting at night and found myself wishing for another lantern. I also took the farm tour and Susannah was absolutely lovely.

The lanterns lighting the path made it extra magical and lounging by the creek was so peaceful. We had a wonderful two-night stay at Paix Cabinette with Host Karen. I visited with my daughter, and from the start, Karen was incredibly communicative. She responded quickly to all my questions and was very accommodating when I needed to adjust our dates, which I really appreciated.
The site itself was peaceful and well laid out. Even in early spring, before everything had fully grown in, we still felt a great sense of privacy. The cabin was clean, cozy, and exactly as described. There was plenty of firewood provided. Also, there was a picnic table and chairs for around the fire.
Every night we could hear owls nearby, which was such a cool experience and made the stay feel even more connected to nature. Access to the cabin and the bathroom in the main house was convenient, just a short walk away, and the bathroom was clean and well maintained. It made the experience comfortable while still feeling like a true getaway.
My daughter absolutely loved the trip and has already been asking when we can come back, which says everything. The space felt very safe and family-friendly, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone traveling with small children. I also appreciated that the cabin locks. It added a nice sense of security. I had seen some comments about the bed being short, but at 5'6", I had no issues at all.
Overall, this was a relaxing and enjoyable stay, and I wouldn’t hesitate to return. Highly recommend!
