It can only accommodate smaller tents, campers, pop up trailers, small pod-type trailers and larger rigs up to 15'. has a rustic firepit and your own deck for viewing the river. Get a fire going under our 20' x 30' canvas shelter and cook dinner or work on crafts (we use this space to teach bushcraft and survival skills classes). Pick plums, cherries, pears, apples and wild blackberries when in season. It's a 1 minute walk to access the best coffee shop and cafe in town. Our camp feels a little like you are in the country while being within walking distance of large city parks (Avery Park and Willamette Park), swimming holes, grocery stores and restaurants. As an urban site, you may hear street traffic on Hwy 99, although it's subtle. There is urban light from both a street light and the storage units on the North border of the property. The Tipi itself offers some barrier to these lights, however, if you want to be in a really dark location and see all the stars, this is probably not the site for you. Also, during the rainy season, the tipi isn't waterproof. We are close to Oregon State University campus (15 min bike ride, 30 min walk) and easy access to I-5 corridor (about 15 min drive). We host you as a family of 3 including our young daughter who might try to get you to pick blackberries with her.

We have 2 year round running creeks and 3 beautiful forests.  We are a work in progress, but we have a year-round working farm. We grow our own food, flowers and animals. We are currently working on a big outdoor kitchen, where we will have pizza ovens, canning facilities and a beautiful place to gather in the woods. Again still a work in progress. Some spots have fire pits. Again depending on time of year and heat conditions. Because we have so many trees, we have to make sure no fires are to close to any tree's. Again, please Ask before burning. No random burning unless oked by land owners. Thank you for for helping to keep everyone safe.   We have numerous ponds throughout the property and swimming holes. We turned the 4 stall barn into a music room where we gather and host events. Soon we will have designated Spots, equipped with fire rings. We will have teepees, tree houses, glamping tents. Currently we have an out house and hose shower and you can also use the potty Under the Star's. We provide Toilet paper and try to keep stocked but, just ask if outhouses are out of paper. Green Crest is an active Memorial Park (cemetery) adjacent to Highway 18 between Portland and the Oregon coast on the South side of Sheridan. This property makes a great stop over while en route to your final destination, but is also a great getaway if you'd just like to relax in a natural setting while having conveniences near by. **if you have an rv that you are planning to back into the site, please enter via the 'exit' as it will allow better positioning to back in. otherwise use the drive marked entrance.** If you have young ones, the park next door has a playground and a stocked fish pond. We also have a pond on sight that is perfect for viewing birds, beaver and having morning coffee. You're also welcome to bring your kayak and or paddle boards to get out on the water for fishing or just floating the pond. There is the occasional Deer, coyote and raccoons all around on the property. Two minutes from your site, you will find 24 hour gas and diesel; Subway, Riverside Cafe, Bennie Huies Chinese and the local Grocery store. Did I say there is a Dairy Queen 5 minutes way? Nearby Ballston Road offers a great rural road system from which to explore by bicycle. Points of interest both out in the wild and more metro are all within an hour drive. Our family "Riverhouse" is one of my favorite places in the world. We use it to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday professional life. The town of Harrisburg is such a cool, easy-going, quaint place to spend some time. Accessibility is one of its' key assets. Harrisburg has a few family owned places to eat at, and a few shops to explore. It's a one light town, but that is why we love it here. The river is my favorite part. We have a one acre lot in the city. Our 22' Tipi with access to a full bathroom (shower, sink, toilet). You may also camp in your own tent or vehicle. Get a fire going under our 20' x 30' canvas shelter and cook dinner or work on crafts (we use this space to teach bushcraft and survival skills classes). Pick plums, cherries, pears, apples and wild blackberries when in season. It's a 1 minute walk to access the best coffee shop and cafe in town. Our camp feels a little like you are in the country while being within walking distance of large city parks (Avery Park and Willamette Park), swimming holes, grocery stores and restaurants. As an urban site, you may hear street traffic on Hwy 99, although it's subtle. There is urban light from both a street light and the storage units on the North border of the property. The Tipi itself offers some barrier to these lights, however, if you want to be in a really dark location and see all the stars, this is probably not the site for you. Also, during the rainy season, the tipi isn't waterproof. We are close to Oregon State University campus (15 min bike ride, 30 min walk) and easy access to I-5 corridor (about 15 min drive). We host you as a family of 3 including our young daughter who might try to get you to pick blackberries with her.

These guys put the hip in #hipcamp. Jim was a wonderful and engaging host. We stayed in the caboose and the highlights were hanging out with the host and his friends, the sauna, and hot tub. If you are bringing kids maybe check with the host or Eric on the vibe before coming. It is a beautiful property and you can tell Jim has put a lot of thought, effort, and himself in the place.
