Welcome to Squared Roots Farm, a Garlic Farm and homestead in Alsea, Oregon. We specialize in gourmet hardneck garlic and sustainable farming practices. You will be staying in a 16ft Pacific yurt built on raised deck that has a covered deck for shade and rainy days. There is plenty of space for additional tents and RV campers to join! There is a fire pit, picnic table, full propane grill and composting toilet. There is also a wonderful warm wood stove for staying cozy! You can swim in the creek right next to the site or walk over to the North Fork of the Alsea River where there is 1/2 mile of river access and great winter steelhead fishing too. Close to the farm is world class mountain biking, hiking, fishing, waterfalls, great views, and surfing on the Oregon coast. The camp spot is a very private grassy nook nestled next to Honey Grove Creek. There are nature trails on the property with blackberry bushes. We offer farm fresh eggs, firewood bundles, and as the garden begins to ramp up- we will offer all the veggies to campers including goat cheese! We can do cash or Venmo payments. We are off the beaten path with no road traffic or light pollution which makes the night sky and stars so vibrant it looks like you could reach out your hand and touch them. Wake up in the morning, make some coffee, and stroll the walking paths along the property. You can sit creekside & soak in the sounds of the birds chirping, the squirrels chattering or the water flowing. We offer a meditation area, a communal fire pit, lighted paths, a large swing, farm fresh eggs (supply permitting), and a fenced wetland area with a pond and plenty of wildlife! We are situated in the beautiful Southern Willamette Valley and close to many award-winning wineries like Bluebird Hills Cellars and Broadley Vineyards, breweries like Long Timber Brewing Company, and the classic Benny's Pizza. We're surrounded by hiking and biking trails, waterfalls, and all only an hour away from the Pacific Ocean. William L. We have 2 year round running creeks and 3 beautiful forests. We are a work in progress, but we have a year-round working farm. We grow our own food, flowers and animals. We are currently working on a big outdoor kitchen, where we will have pizza ovens, canning facilities and a beautiful place to gather in the woods. Again still a work in progress. Some spots have fire pits. Again depending on time of year and heat conditions. Because we have so many trees, we have to make sure no fires are to close to any tree's. We turned the 4 stall barn into a music room where we gather and host events. Soon we will have designated Spots, equipped with fire rings. We will have teepees, tree houses, glamping tents. As of now we have room for numerous big groups spots for tent camping. Soon we’ll have plug-ins for RV and fifth wheel travelers. We have alot of space to camp and still have your privacy. Currently we have an out house and hose shower and you can also use the potty Under the Star's. We provide Toilet paper and try to keep stocked but, just ask if outhouses are out of paper. Peaceful beauty in the country! Glamping on 17 acres in Oregon's wine country. You will be neighbors to our chickens, ducks, rooster, wild turkeys, pileated woodpecker, great blue Heron and more. Many unfinished cob buildings cover our property, that have been built (and continue to be worked on) in our natural building workshops. Only a half hour drive to both Eugene and Corvallis. One hour to the coast and only 2 hours to Portland. We are surrounded by many wineries, all closer than 10 miles away. Bennett winery, that is less than 2 miles away, even offers live music and a different food truck every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. We are close to both Fernridge reservoir and Triangle Lake, for fishing, boating, and swimming.

Fantastic location and amenities. The forest site gave us soft pine needles below and beautiful pines above. The trees cast a welcome shade over us and kept us comfortable during a sunny weekend. The property is off the beaten path, away from road noise and the way the three campsites are arranged it is easy to feel like you are the only one there. The Adirondack chairs, faerie lights, the artwork and flower garden make for a fun and unique experience.

Such a great stay!! The yurt was very secluded right next to the creek. Our pups had the BEST time being able to be off-leash without worry. I was initially worried the farm animals would be close by (and one of our dogs is a herding dog who I wouldn’t trust lol), but they were far enough away that we were worry free! We were able to visit them though, the goats were SO cute and friendly. The bed was seriously SO comfortable, I had to take a picture of the mattress before we left! The composting outhouse was super clean. The whole property was just amazing and we had the best time! Also super close to Alsea for some great hiking and mountain biking. We will certainly come back!

A very peaceful and secluded spot of land off the main road. We loved how secluded and private our tent site was, plus the shade helped drop the temperature significantly as we were setting up around 5PM. The two carts to move our camping gear worked perfectly, and the walk from our car to the site was super short. If you’re a light sleeper, just be prepared for the sounds of the livestock in the morning. A very lovely site, and the fairy lights were so cute. We appreciated our time, and our host, at this beautiful property

1 night at Fernwood Retreat At Bloom Hill

It was a beautiful spot to spend the night. I arrived very late and left early, due to my own restrictions, so I wasn't able to fully take in all of the surroundings, but it was a nice site in a nice setting. In the morning I met a bunny, a young buck, Brindle(one of the two friendly dogs mentioned), and Petra herself- who was very kind. *She was also very responsive and accommodating when my plans changed somewhat last minute, creating the need to arrive later than expected.
