Once a dairy farm and part of the old Simpson estate our property offers mushroom picking seasonally whey you may find Chanterelle & Hedgehog mushrooms. We're close to the beach and the Sunset Bay Golf Course is on the same property. Lots of hiking trails and you can connect with Sunset Bay State Park our neighbor. We have a private, secluded campground that is wind sheltered with approximately 20 acres of space in which to use our covered table, picnic tables, fire pit, fire rings at individual campsites, BBQ, sauna and outdoor propane-fired shower. The camp area is tucked away among large spruce trees and open meadows which lead to endless trails on the property, with the option to buy a round of golf at Sunset Bay Golf Course, which is right next door to the camp area. We’re just short of a mile from Sunset Bay, where you will find kayaking, fishing and a great spot for kids. The Whiskey Run mountain bike trails are a short drive away and are truly world-class trails. The Sunset Bay State Park has a huge trail network that spans the cliff line all the way from Sunset Bay to Cape Arago. Chuck’s Seafood in Charleston is a great spot to pick up local seafood. BBQ some oysters on the grill or pick up some fresh fish and enjoy the bounty of the coast. Hanging from the exhaust hood are stainless, non-stick, and cast iron cookware. We also provide shade grown fair trade coffee and a grinder, espresso machine, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, utensils, chef knives, glasses and frosty cocktail glasses in the freezer. The dining room table has a river view and can seat six comfortably. There is also seating for three at the island bar. We loved our stay here! Melissa and Dave were incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. Our dog loved playing with their two super sweet dogs, and there are few things nicer than walking right out to the water from the camper to have coffee or watch the sunset. The camper was cozy and warm, bed was comfy, and overall delightful place to stay.

Weekend Trip to Sunset Bay Meadows

I had an amazing stay at this cozy yurt near Coos Bay, Oregon. The property itself is stunning—set on a vast stretch of woodland that is even part of a golf course, it felt like a peaceful retreat tucked away in nature. The yurt was warm, inviting, and the skylight made it extra special. Hearing the nearby stream in the evening and waking up to soft natural light were some of my favorite things about the yurt stay. The owners were incredibly kind and welcoming. They went above and beyond to make my stay memorable, even taking the time to show me where to find edible mushrooms on the property. It’s clear they genuinely enjoy sharing their land and encouraging guests to explore and connect with the outdoors. The sauna and outdoor-style shower added to the rustic, nature-inspired experience—simple, refreshing, and perfectly in tune with the setting. Overall, this stay was peaceful, unique, and full of thoughtful touches. As a solo female I felt incredibly safe and I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, nature-focused getaway. 🌿

Can I just say wow! Dew Valley Ranch is one of the best glamping experiences I've ever had. The yurt, the bed and heating blanket. Shower towels, hot tub towels, and a thing to warm water, a fire pit and a super cutely decorated out door seating and eating area. We had a shower at our site with its own water heater, and a private bathroom. We had access to a hot tub, a sauna, and so many hikes. They have super cute goats, chickens, and a horse on the property that love people. I would highly recommend this ranch. And can't wait to stay again!!

This was a gorgeous property with neatly manicured sites that were spread out nicely. Our family absolutely loved the setting in the middle of this forest! Not only was the site great but it was less than a 5-minute drive to Sunset Beach. We had the yurt site so with an older sister and a disabled nephew it was the only way to get us all camping and they loved the yurt which was clean and comfortable. I highly recommend this site.

2 nights at Dew Valley Ranch Nature Retreat

This Hipcamp exceeded our expectations. Super cute and magical. We enjoyed the sauna and hot tub, plus the outdoor showers were nice and warm. The Hobbit House really felt straight out of the shire, and the lights at night made it super cozy. You can tell the hosts put a lot of thought into the place as well as its amenities. 10/10 would stay again

What an incredible spot, do yourself a favor and check out the hobbit house with its delightful skylight to stargaze or wake up to the trees surrounding you! Wasn’t expecting own bathroom or for it to be so secluded. Lovely breakfast as well.

Quiet and lovely groomed area outside of the golf course. Trees all around, but no private sites. Lotsa space in between though. In order to take in the area, swim, paddle, hike- we would for sure stay there again. Will bring the camper next time. Yurt is ok if really needed, but not very clean if that bothers you ie- smelly and lotsa dog hair. Bed was not comfortable, in our opinion. Bring potable water unless you want to drink from a hose at a house. There are a few porto toilets in one of the campsites and an outdoor shower with hot water which was nice, though exposed and right next to the house, so if you are bashful- you'll need to get over it.

Tim was very accommodating and made sure we got settled in. The campsites are spread out so everyone has a sense of privacy, and our dogs absolutely loved the off leash adventures. Excited to stop by again soon, thanks Tim!

Weekend Trip to Sunset Bay Meadows

We really enjoyed camping on Tim's Land. It was beautiful and spacious, with convenient bathrooms. We were a group of 8 with some of us camping in our rigs, and this spot was exactly what we needed. 10/10 would return and would recommend, especially for larger groups.

We rented the Yurt. It was very nice.. the spaces are large. The woods are fantastic. Loved all the birds. We're definitely going again!

Weekend Trip to Mosswood Forest

Clay hosted us for a night while we were traveling across the country to our next home. He is incredibly hospital and the property is beautiful! We slept so well in the little camper and would definitely stay again if we are ever in the area again

Weekend Trip to Creekside Retreat At Triangle Lake

We loved staying at Creekside! Everyone was super friendly and helpful. #1 had good river access and felt just private enough. The bed was comfy and we had everything we needed. The toilets were clean our entire stay and we appreciated the hand washing station.

Loved our time here! Heather & Nathan are lovely people and put a great deal of care and consideration into their property and hospitality. Booked the bumblebee campsite and the huckleberry cabin. Both were immaculately clean and thoughtfully setup.
