The property is 17 acres of enchanted forestland with 300ft of Sandy River frontage. Both sides of the river are part of the Enchanted Forest. Please note that all campsites are not accessible by vehicle and do involve a short walk from the parking area. Therefore, RV's/campers, rooftop tents, and camper vans are not ideal for this property. Bring your paddle board or kayak to enjoy the river (Dependent on river level/current strength) The property is located within 2 miles from the Sandy Ridge Mountain bike trails and Barlow Wayside hiking trails. It's approximately 20 minutes to Government camp, ~ 35 minutes to Timberline for skiing and biking and an additional ~ 15 minutes to Mt. Hood Meadows. Your views will be of trees, mountains, the creek and waterfall. The cabin is far enough away from our home so you will have privacy and seclusion. It is a short but very uphill hike from the parking area. When you arrive, feel free to find your way up to the cabin. You may want to pack light as it is a bit of a hike! Linens and blankets will be provided for the King size bed. The cabin is constructed from local trees we've harvested using our sawmill. This is a one of kind rustic experience. We provide all of the firewood needed for the cabin inside for the wood stove and outside for the fire pit.

It's was so beautiful and secluded. We only saw 1 other person while we were there. There were motion sensor lights leading to the cabin, a good size tent space that was included, the propane fire was lovely, and it was really great that wagons were provided to take things down to the cabin. Direct water access was amazing

We loved our time here at the cabin! It's peaceful and feels secluded except for the highway noise (which is just what it is, can't help that!). I love that it is right on the river with its own private beach. There is a picnic table, grill, chairs and even a propane charcoal fireplace. Joshua the owner had thoughtful additions like a hose for dish washing, a recycling box and a can recycling spot right at he site. The walking trails are labeled and there is even a fire extinguisher at a central location between the cabin and camp spots. Its a beautiful location and you could tell it was thoughtfully planned as a camp spot. I loved having the wheel barrows to help us set up camp, too. The only cons I would say would be the highway noise and the steep walk down to the sites. It's super nice to have Porta potties by the parking spots and it makes sense to have them there to routinely clean. But it is a walk to get there lol. But there are lights along the way which is very nice. Over all a beautiful area and a relaxing trip was had! Ty, Joshua

This place is absolutely amazing. Gorgeous little creek that has small cascading waterfalls all the way down. Short, but steep hike up to the cabin. Pack only the essentials. You were just a short driveway from Great restaurants and a grocery store would definitely stay here again 10 out of 10 recommend.

Joshua’s land is beautiful! The cabin which we stayed in has its own private sandy beach river front which was amazing! Very beautiful and relaxing. The cabin was clean and very cute. The bed was very comfy. The cabin is rustic so it doesn’t have electricity but there were small lamps for light. Be prepared for a bit of a workout taking all your belongings down a steep hill in a wagon or wheel barrel.

Were do I begin? This place was amazing. With a teen off to visit family my husband and I wanted a weekend getaway with the dogs. I’m not sure how we got lucky to find this gem last minute but I’m glad we did. One of our dogs can be a little leash reactive so to find a place where he can roam off leash is so wonderful. The dogs loved roaming around while we enjoyed the outdoors. Don’t be me. I overpacked and wore Arizona Birkenstocks thinking short steep hike, pssshh I’ll be fine! Instead I turned back to the truck and put on trail runners. Pack a day pack with just your essentials and another backpack cooler with food. That’s all you will need! We were pleasantly surprised to find lanterns, coffee fixings and water. My even keel husband rarely outwardly expresses impression. He had so many good things to say about this place, including the peacefulness, down to the quality of the build. Having built a few things in my day, curiousity got the best of me on how the materials we brought it, would love to see a little book on “how the little cabin came to be”. We will be back! Maybe next time without dogs so we can enjoy the hot tub, looked like an epic experience! We did try to find the hike to the falls but the path wasn’t super clear and I didn’t want to intrude on anyone’s space.

Great hosts! We (my 2 littles and I) came in late. The directions in hip camp took me to the wrong place. The hosts stayed on the phone and even had run down the driveway to find us. I liked being able to add on the extras and they offered propane fire which was very lovely.

Great location with a cabin perched above a fern lined creek back in the woods. Clear directions and flawless check in. Cabin a big comfortable bed with plenty of blankets and was furnished with the basics, including five gallons of water. Easy access to the creek for getting your feet wet and letting the dog splash around in a really serene environment. Didn't meet the owners, but their big friendly dogs came around to say hi, which our dog loved. Very spotty cell and internet service, which can be a plus sometimes. Walk up is a relatively short graveled path but had a couple of steep parts so watch your step and bring shoes with a good tread.

This was the absolute perfect setting for me and a few senior dogs. Was able to treat my most senior to 4 walls and a bed, while also being right on the river where the newfie sat for 2 days. Sandy beach and a bit into the river, was perfect for the dogs who struggle with river rocks. Will definitely be back, already thinking of our fall visit!

This cabin is so peaceful. My husband and I had a wonderful 2 nights without our children at this romantic spot. Very private. Easy to get to. Great directions and information. We hope to come back many more times. It is a really a special place next to a stream with a waterfall. The cabin is perfectly placed and beautifully built. You can tell the owners pay attention to all the little details to give this rustic cabin all the comforts and cuteness of the cabin of your dreams.
