Looking for an off grid'ish experience but want some of the comforts of home?
Come stay in my cozy cool cabin at the base of Mt Adams in Trout Lake, WA. Cabin has one Queen bed and a fold out camping style cot under the bed. Max capacity 2 adults and 2 children.
What makes this cabin cool? Well, it is a retired DNR fire watch cabin! The cabin is as original as can be! Equipped with battery operated and solar lights along with propane heat! Porta potty right next to it for your use! There is a full bathroom and amenities to include fridge, microwave, coffee pot and air fryer just a short walk away! Dishes are not included and cooking utensils are very limited.
Winter sports galore up here right now! Cross country skiing, snow shoeing, ample parking for snow mobile trailers! OR bring your favorite book and come enjoy a peaceful restful weekend!
Springtime is a gorgeous time of year up here and turkey season is a favorite! Ample room for boats/trailers if you are considering hitting Drano lake for some springer salmon fishing! It is apx 30 minutes away.
In the summertime come up and enjoy the hiking! Sleeping Beauty trail is just a few minutes away and you are within 30 minutes or Hood River if you are looking to explore and check out wineries. There are cheese caves, ice caves, Goose Lake, Council Lake and so much more!
Fall is one of my favorite seasons! Hood River fishery has been amazing and the fall colors can't be beat!
There is a fire pit and campfires are welcome when there is not a burn ban.
Trout Lake Inn is a local favorite up here and check their Facebook to see what live entertainment they have coming up.
Pets are welcome - please make sure they are well behaved and are kept close to the cabin. I do have my own friendly dogs (Ruby and Muskett) on the property, but they do not have access to the cabin area.

This small 25-acre ranch is just in the early stages of development. We are repairing fences and watering. I just added solar power and several electrical upgrades for RV's. The property has a 2000 feet of grass runway with an airplane hangar, so you could fly it if you have a STOHL airplane.
The irrigation pond/pond yard area is currently available for camping.
Many wineries, brewies and outdoor activities available in the area. Children can help feed or water the pigs and perhaps the chickens. Be aware though when piglets are around at times they are very small and are amazing escaped artists so do not keep food out unless you want to try and pet one they are friendly. We are more than happy to help suggest wineries and brewies in the area or enjoy the bar area we have!
We offer several campsites as well as an in-ground greenhouse as listings.
Guests love staying with us: "The pond at Willow Barn Ranch was picturesque. Show us around the property. It's very quiet and peaceful, and you can tell you take good care of your land. Wide open spaces." Please be aware that we do not allow parking on grass without explicit permission which is always handled on site. Vehicles will most likely not be permitted on the grass itself with rare exceptions.

Trout Lake is a quaint little town situated in an organic valley surrounded by mountains with the main focal point being the majestic Mount Adams towering overhead. Breathtaking views of Mount Adams can be seen directly from some of the cabins and the grounds. All of the cabins are unique and special with different features to fit almost anyone's needs. All of the cabins feature new and very comfortable queen-sized beds, and all come with their own BBQ grill. Satellite television and free WiFi internet service is available to all guests in each unit. Rustic propane fire places have been installed in each cabin along with air conditioning units to make sure our guests are warm and cozy on the coldest winter nights as well as cool and comfortable on those hot summer days. Parking is ample within steps of each of the cabins and is more than big enough to fit snowmobile trailers, horse trailers, RVs, or any other toys you may want to bring along for your trip.
Trout Lake Cozy Cabins was formerly known as Serenity's, named after the restaurant that sat on the property. The Restaurant burned down a number of years ago. Since the restaurant building was rebuilt, we have been excited to have Mt. Adams Pizza on our property for the last 4 years. There are also a number of places to eat within a mile of the cabins including Mount Adams Pizza, the Trout Lake Hall, Post Office Coffee, and the Station Cafe.
The Mount Adams Ranger District is a great resource for additional information about the area and recreational activities. Of course, having grown up in the area, we are always happy to answer any questions you may have or provide you with a "local's" tip/suggestions. Don't be shy, we are very friendly people and will go out of our way to make sure you have a memorable stay with us!

We had an amazing stay at this incredible spot! The 1-bedroom setup in the greenhouse was super cozy, but the gorgeous property completely stole the show with its beautiful pond and so many great spots to take photos. We loved seeing the horses, pigs, and chickens, and grilling up an awesome BBQ made the trip perfect. We will definitely be back!

The cabin is off to the side of the front of the property along a quiet country road, wedged between cow pastures and hilly ridges with trees and elk. The setup exceeded our expectations - warm, comfy, plenty of space, a gas stove for heat and a camp stove for cooking. Getting to hiking is close but not necessarily walkable - Trout Lake town with the ranger station for the National Park is a 10 min drive. Fridge and bathroom with shower a short walk from the cabin are a bonus. It’d be fun to visit again in spring or autumn.

The cabin was incredibly cozy. Even though it was below freezing outside for most of our trip the heater and blankets kept us super warm inside. Waking up to the cows and the mountains always felt amazing, and at night if the sky was clear so many stars were visible.

If being off grid isnt your cup of tea then this cabin probably isnt for you but we love it. One of our favoright things about staying here is that there is very little to no cell service and wifi only if you want to hook up to it. We love being off grid and having quality family time to interact with eachother with out the distractions of cell phones or tv. No power no problem for us! This is our favoright family get away spot by far.

It’s very stress free, Amanda is a wonderful host and the place is quite frankly, stunning. I enjoy places of silence and few people, and this has both. Absolutely stunning place to stay with tons to do close by. The cabin is extremely cozy and the place is completely secluded. We felt like we were the only ones there. The cabin and the bathroom/kitchen area was clean and stocked with the essentials (plates, fridge/freezer, shower, portable generator for the cabin, lamps, bbq and more). We caught a thunder storm on the last night of our stay and it was so relaxing. We’re excited to come back in the winter when it is snowing.

This adorable cabin was perfect for our romantic 33rd anniversary weekend of hiking and huckleberry picking. The bed is soft and comfortable, the cabin is rustic but homey. Comfortable chairs outside and a propane grill that saved us from having to pack our own. There a shower, bathroom and fridge about 25 yards away. A coffee maker, microwave and air fryer are there to use if you want to eat dinner in. Trout Lake is one of our favorite places to visit - we've been coming up every huckleberry season for the past 20 years -- now we have a new favorite place to stay!

What a beautiful place for our family’s first night stay on our Pacific Northwest road trip! My husband, four year old daughter and I were amazed at the breathtaking scenery and perfectly comfortable in this tiny cabin. We arrived late afternoon early August, and the cabin was warm inside but cooled off nicely with the windows open at night. The bathroom and mini kitchen had everything we needed and were just a short walk away. We enjoyed good food and music at Trout Lake Hall, and the stargazing at night was unbelievable. What a special memory for our family. Thank you for sharing this piece of paradise with us, Amy! Our only regret is not staying longer!!

They have a beautiful property and the pond with a large willow tree's branches cascading into the water was incredibly picturesque!
Our in the ground greenhouse was very cool and unique. The fact that it has no power is an added bonus of camping feelings. But would love to see some updated/new working solar lights inside and out. Once dark, the stairs can be a little worrisome heading down into the unit.
Could have been incredibly romantic for us had our 6 yr old not been with or at least gone to bed before 2am cuz she was so jazzed about the place, lol. But that's on us of course, not the owners, lol.
Also, for me personally (with a heavy housekeeping background) I would have preferred to see a good bit less dirt/debris (on the concrete floor/rugs) and active spiderwebs (as in, spiders in them near sides of bed and headboard)...as this simply would require a broom for both tasks to be done fairly quickly & easily. And I would have felt a little more relaxed.
But overall, would definitely recommend and me and my 6 yr old made an agreement for us to come back yearly together to celebrate my birthday every year if possible.

Very cute cabin, clean and comfortable. Nice bathroom/kitchen area in the separate building. Very comfy bed. Incredible views of Mt Adams through the trees. Also very dark and quiet at night, we saw the milky way for the first time in ages thanks to no light pollution.
