There is a full bathroom and amenities to include fridge, microwave, coffee pot and air fryer just a short walk away! Dishes are not included and cooking utensils are very limited. Winter sports galore up here right now! Cross country skiing, snow shoeing, ample parking for snow mobile trailers! OR bring your favorite book and come enjoy a peaceful restful weekend! Springtime is a gorgeous time of year up here and turkey season is a favorite! Ample room for boats/trailers if you are considering hitting Drano lake for some springer salmon fishing! It is apx 30 minutes away. In the summertime come up and enjoy the hiking! Sleeping Beauty trail is just a few minutes away and you are within 30 minutes or Hood River if you are looking to explore and check out wineries. There are cheese caves, ice caves, Goose Lake, Council Lake and so much more! Fall is one of my favorite seasons! Hood River fishery has been amazing and the fall colors can't be beat! There is a fire pit and campfires are welcome when there is not a burn ban. Trout Lake Inn is a local favorite up here and check their Facebook to see what live entertainment they have coming up. Pets are welcome - please make sure they are well behaved and are kept close to the cabin. I do have my own friendly dogs (Ruby and Muskett) on the property, but they do not have access to the cabin area. Come enjoy the mountain air - it is good for the soul! **No parties - limit of 2 adult guests and up to 2 children. No illegal drugs. This small 25-acre ranch is just in the early stages of development. We are repairing fences and watering. I just added solar power and several electrical upgrades for RV's. The property has a 2000 feet of grass runway with an airplane hangar, so you could fly it if you have a STOHL airplane. The irrigation pond/pond yard area is currently available for camping. Many wineries, brewies and outdoor activities available in the area. Children can help feed or water the pigs and perhaps the chickens. Be aware though when piglets are around at times they are very small and are amazing escaped artists so do not keep food out unless you want to try and pet one they are friendly. We are more than happy to help suggest wineries and brewies in the area or enjoy the bar area we have! We offer several campsites as well as an in-ground greenhouse as listings. Guests love staying with us: "The pond at Willow Barn Ranch was picturesque. Show us around the property. It's very quiet and peaceful, and you can tell you take good care of your land. Wide open spaces." Please be aware that we do not allow parking on grass without explicit permission which is always handled on site. (Some of the pictures in prior reviews are from when I was renting out the smaller cabin- this listing is now for the larger cabin!) 🤗 You feel like you’re waking up in a state park, but you’re just ten minutes from town. Mt Adams and many hiking trails are nearby. If you are a rafter or a kiter, we are very close to the river as well! It will sleep 4 comfortably- please contact me about extra guests. There is a trundle bed with twin mattresses, and a Queen bed. Both have fitted sheets only. Please bring everything else you may need to be comfortable. The cabin is off grid so charge your electronics beforehand and bring a cooler! It’s a great place for a reset : ) Get your feet on the ground and wake up with the birds chirping. NOTE: You have to pack trash in and out. Leave no trace. I do not have trash pick up at the cabin and anything left has the potential to lure wildlife in. Thank you for your understanding!

It’s very stress free, Amanda is a wonderful host and the place is quite frankly, stunning. I enjoy places of silence and few people, and this has both. Absolutely stunning place to stay with tons to do close by. The cabin is extremely cozy and the place is completely secluded. We felt like we were the only ones there. The cabin and the bathroom/kitchen area was clean and stocked with the essentials (plates, fridge/freezer, shower, portable generator for the cabin, lamps, bbq and more). We caught a thunder storm on the last night of our stay and it was so relaxing. We’re excited to come back in the winter when it is snowing.

This adorable cabin was perfect for our romantic 33rd anniversary weekend of hiking and huckleberry picking. The bed is soft and comfortable, the cabin is rustic but homey. Comfortable chairs outside and a propane grill that saved us from having to pack our own. There a shower, bathroom and fridge about 25 yards away. A coffee maker, microwave and air fryer are there to use if you want to eat dinner in. Trout Lake is one of our favorite places to visit - we've been coming up every huckleberry season for the past 20 years -- now we have a new favorite place to stay!

This place was lovely! We went so wee could go to the goldendale observatory to catch the meteor showers, and the stars out there are incredible. We also got some pastries at the Greek Orthodox Bakery which were delicious, and checked out the Stonehenge and the Maryhill art museum along with exploring more spots along the Columbia. There’s so much to see here! I love how they have set it up. When we stayed it was a hot weekend (105 degrees!) and so I’m so glad we stayed here instead of in a tent, the bed and the couch were comfortable, there was everything we needed inside and it cooled down enough at night with the windows open (yay for screens on the windows for bugs!) that we could all sleep! I’ve already recommended this beautiful spot to some family and friends.

What a beautiful place for our family’s first night stay on our Pacific Northwest road trip! My husband, four year old daughter and I were amazed at the breathtaking scenery and perfectly comfortable in this tiny cabin. We arrived late afternoon early August, and the cabin was warm inside but cooled off nicely with the windows open at night. The bathroom and mini kitchen had everything we needed and were just a short walk away. We enjoyed good food and music at Trout Lake Hall, and the stargazing at night was unbelievable. What a special memory for our family. Thank you for sharing this piece of paradise with us, Amy! Our only regret is not staying longer!!

1 night at Willow Barn Ranch

They have a beautiful property and the pond with a large willow tree's branches cascading into the water was incredibly picturesque! Our in the ground greenhouse was very cool and unique. The fact that it has no power is an added bonus of camping feelings. But would love to see some updated/new working solar lights inside and out. Once dark, the stairs can be a little worrisome heading down into the unit. Could have been incredibly romantic for us had our 6 yr old not been with or at least gone to bed before 2am cuz she was so jazzed about the place, lol. But that's on us of course, not the owners, lol. Also, for me personally (with a heavy housekeeping background) I would have preferred to see a good bit less dirt/debris (on the concrete floor/rugs) and active spiderwebs (as in, spiders in them near sides of bed and headboard)...as this simply would require a broom for both tasks to be done fairly quickly & easily. And I would have felt a little more relaxed. But overall, would definitely recommend and me and my 6 yr old made an agreement for us to come back yearly together to celebrate my birthday every year if possible.

Very cute cabin, clean and comfortable. Nice bathroom/kitchen area in the separate building. Very comfy bed. Incredible views of Mt Adams through the trees. Also very dark and quiet at night, we saw the milky way for the first time in ages thanks to no light pollution.

1 night at Retired DNR Fire Watch Cabin

A magical little cabin hidden in the woods like something out of an indie film. Everything was clean, warm, and thoughtfully arranged — from the cozy bed to the perfect grill. The view? Unreal. You open the door and it feels like stepping into a peaceful painting. Quiet, authentic, slightly surreal. I didn’t figure out the electricity switch, but honestly, I didn’t need it — the atmosphere itself had enough energy. This place has soul. 10 out of 10. Would’ve stayed longer if Oregon wasn’t calling me further west. If you’re thinking of booking — don’t hesitate. It’s worth every cent. Like a scene from a story you haven’t written yet

Weekend Trip to Retired DNR Fire Watch Cabin

We loved our stay at Amy’s Trout Lake cabin. It was the perfect spot to spend a couple nights while we explored the area. So cute and clean! Having access to kitchen appliances and a full bathroom located in the back of their shop was a great addition. Amy’s messages and directions were detailed and included everything. Tried the pizza in town and the White Salmon Baking Co. for breakfast. Both were delicious!! Great location to stay at if you are white water rafting/kayaking on the White Salmon. Can’t wait to come back to the area! Thank you for providing such a wonderful lodging option.

We absolutely loved our stay at the little cabin. Would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to escape for a weekend and explore the Mt. Adams area. Lots of thoughtful and cute touches that make the stay lovely. We can’t wait to return!

This cabin was really great. It felt very private and had everything I needed. The bathhouse was also very clean and accessible, only a short walk from the cabin. I’d definitely stay here again.
