Milk A Sheep Camp

Didn't know you could milk a sheep? Or thought only cows made cheese? Come find out how it's done on this seasonal working ranch here in Eastern Oregon. Lambs are born in the spring and their moms are milked all summer long. 
I raise my sheep on fresh grass and sunshine. Come see for yourself here on the ranch.
Pitch a tent on the pasture and literally count the sheep around you before falling asleep or climb the hill and see for miles in every direction. We may be close to the road, but it doesn't feel like it.
We can accommodate campers, RVs, trucks, tents, and vans. 4 sites to chose from.
Each site has access to a toilet, potable water, shower, picnic tables, trash disposal, and we allow campfires (outside of burn bans), and pets. 
We also sell fresh eggs, firewood, and lamb sausage.
Our guests love staying with us: "There’s fireside fun in fresh country air, rolling hills around the farm to walk along to enjoy the wide expansive view, and sights and sounds of animals around camp to make for a relaxing day. There’s kittens, dairy sheep, gigantic but friendly herd dogs, and a variety of chickens and ducks. The host was kind and friendly. Try the sheep’s milk cheese - what a treat!"

Log cabin(s) (built about a century ago). No general public access. Get to know each other again, or take a "soul reset" vacation to find yourself again or walk to the pond and catch dinner. Everyone who comes here, takes a deep breath and says how beautiful it is and how lucky we are. We agree and we would like you to come enjoy it as well. Take your trash with you. The trash bins are for the cabins only. Campers please follow "leave no trace" and take it all with you.

We are in Meacham, Oregon and close to everything outdoors. About half way between Pendleton and La Grande. Not far from Starkey, Ukiah, Umatilla with national forest just minutes away. This spot has an outhouse for your use. This is also a 1 minute walk to The Oregon Trail Cafe. You will hear trains as they are across the intersection. Some nights more than others.

Horse Feathers Pony Ranch

Pitch your tent in the extra horse pasture on this beautiful small horse ranch in Pendleton, Oregon. Kids and well behaved dogs that are UTD on vaccines are welcome. Please plan to keep your dog on a leash at the ranch as we have vulnerable critters wandering around and pick up after them. We have a couple of outdoor kennels available if you want to leave them while you go exploring in town. 

 Campsites have access to a portable toilet, spigot and hose and cowboy shower (seasonal). Kids (and adults) can help feed the horses and chickens and meet Minerva the Minnie Pig! Pony lessons, lessons in making stone tools and tule ducks are available for an extra fee with prior arrangements. 

Relax and watch the wildlife. Animals you may see, hear, and smell during your visit include: raptors hunting over the grasslands; numerous swallows and songbirds; deer and elk; porcupines and skunks;  and coyotes and owls nighttime serenade. 

Fishing, swimming and paddling in the McKay reservoir less than a mile away. Visit downtown Pendleton, home to the Round Up! The longest continuously running rodeo in the US! We have lots to do with a bustling downtown, visit the Round Up Hall of Fame,  Pendleton Underground tours, the Children’s Museum, the Pendleton Art Center and lots of great restaurants. 

We have 2 tent sites that are accessible by foot you will have to pack your gear to the sites.If you want to car camp or have a van you will need to camp in our driveway space. Unfortunately we cannot accommodate tow campers the driveway is too tight.

Please plan your initial check in before 9 pm as both Tom and I  have to be up very early for work in the mornings. 

Travelers with horses are welcome. We have extra pens available with prior arrangements and for an extra fee. We have a special area for horses and horse trailers.

Last Chance Glass Farm and Getaway

Last Chance Glass Studio and Farm is a small working farm exceptionally situated in the gorgeous Walla Walla Valley. There are level access and pull through camp sites along the Burlingame Canal and the South fork of the Little Walla Walla river (a creek). Enjoy nature here on the Old Oregon trail in the form of beaver ponds, coyote song, deer trails, bird watching and star gazing - just a half mile from the historic Whitman Mission. 

Park on the partial pavement or on the grass almost anywhere you like, under the giant maples and sycamores or out in the sunshine on the park-like grounds facing the Blue Mountains.

 Quiet dogs permitted on leash on most dates. (please declare your dogs for planning purposes) 

Professionally maintained Sani-can.

 Potable well water available for refills.

 No hook ups. 

This is a small working farm whose pastures seasonally support local pedigreed sheep and goats. Owners request that you don't throw anything for the friendly working border collies.  The farm is 7 miles from downtown Walla Walla. 4 miles to Walmart super center.

JenEric Alpaca Ranch

PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING

We have a small area in our Alpaca pasture designated for campers. We are a short drive (2miles) to down town Hermiston.  Our ranch has been here since the 1940's and has decreased in size since its days as a potato farm. The Alpacas are shy but curious. They are not dangerous but do not like dogs 🐕‍🦺 and other small animals. (Please keep pets on a leash) We remove the Alpacas and mow the camping areas but please keep in mind that this is a pasture that is used when campers are not present. Please be prepared. This is a working ranch and there will be animals🦙 , bugs🐜 , and poop💩 in the pasture. 

River Front Park on the Umatilla River is within walking distance and the Columbia River is a short drive. In the summer we have several farms in the area with fresh produce for sale and  Blueberry picking just down the road. You won't want to leave town without picking up a world famous Hermiston Watermelon! Come stay with us "Where Life is Sweet!"
