Welcome to our new home! Kyle and I live in the main house on 5 sprawling acres of pasture and shady pines. The property is peaceful, the skies are full of stars, and wildlife visits often. Our little farm is also home to a small flock of sheep, 3 alpaca, a llama, and a gaggle of chickens. The RV pad pictured is currently rented. Available to rent is our primitive upper meadow to campers and vans. There are no hookups or toilet onsite so we require campers to have their own self enclosed bathroom. Campers are welcome to fill up water, charge devices or use WiFi by the house (there is limited to no cell service at our property). There is a county wide campfire ban through September at least which only allows for use of barbecues (no campfires even if enclosed in something like a solo stove). We’re a 15 minute drive from White Salmon up Snowden, about a mile away from hiking and biking trails (not on trail maps) and a 5 minute drive to an upper entrance to coyote wall hiking/biking trails. Make this your home base for an evening, weekend or longer for a night under the stars, or your biking, kite boarding, or other outdoor adventures! Great little private spot! Stayed a couple of nights, had everything one would need. There is a composting toilet and portable water we didn’t use since we were in our RV. We were able to pick where we wanted to hike with lots of options out there.

Private space to warm up and unwind! Dogs welcome! 🐾

Weekend Trip to Mt Hood Camp Spot

Burke and Shannon are fantastic and friendly hosts, who live in an absolutely stunning location. This area is amazing in its beauty and outdoor activities, and they know some good spots to check out (thanks for the Salmon River trail tip!!). The RV spot was easy to back into, spacious, and had water/power in a convenient location. I will definitely be checking in the future to see if they are available when I’m in the area twice each year!

Weekend Trip to Black Tail Private RV Site

Tony was a fantastic host, with a lovely and peaceful site. Communication in advance of arrival was prompt and courteous, and he and his wife were on hand when I arrived, cheerfully greeted me, and helped me to get situated on the RV pad. There are two sites— both of them are easily accessible back-in placements—and the positioning is very private from their residence. As someone who has camped up and down most of the Hwy 14 sites, I highly recommend their location, as you won’t be hearing the the train, and access to all the area has to offer is a quick and beautiful drive down into the valley.

We stayed at Susan’s place for four days and very much enjoyed it! Quiet and with lots of amenities including Porta potty, sink, grill and lovely seating area with a hammock. It was very well maintained-highly recommend it!

Once I realised there are 2 pitches is different places it all made sense. I took the cheaper one which wasn’t near the creek. No mozzies to worry about, and I saved a few bucks. I needed somewhere to legally spend a night and this did the job nicely. No frills but also no fuss. Ideal

Weekend Trip to Eight Four Eight Camp

Beautiful property with a nice mix of woods and clearings. Very quiet (you can hear road traffic occasionally, but it wasn't a big deal). There was one other camper on the property and I only saw them as they were leaving. There are lots of primitive trails to explore and looks like there's a frisbee golf course in the works. The private porta-potty was clean and it was nice to have a well-water spigot nearby. The only minor quibble was there seemed to be some trash in the camp sites. I picked up around my site and added a few other bits from the neighboring site. Wasn't terrible, but it was noticeable. Remember to pick up after yourselves. The burn ban was still in effect, so unfortunately no fires on this trip. Maybe next time. I'll plan on coming back later in the fall or early Spring. Overall, it was a great weekend, and I do recommend it!

This is a great spot to camp at. We brought our little trailer and pulled up right to the platform area that was generous and size with a nice picnic table.. we had plenty of room in our campsite and the stargazing was amazing. It’s only 15 minutes outside of white salmon, making it a perfect home-base for activities that we wanted to do in the area. The host was super communicative and easy to deal with..
