Relaxing, Peaceful Lavender Farm

For years the property was a fruit orchard located close in to town. 

Over the years crops have evolved.  Now we grow pumpkins, garlic, sweet corn and —lavender!

Crockett Road Lavender Farm is located close in to Walla Walla wine country on paved roads.  We are just off the main highway between Milton-Freewater and Walla Walla     Easy to access for all size RVs on all paved roads. All campers are welcome to pick a spot&nbsp;on our spacious lush lawns surrounded by fragrant lavender fields.  Pets are welcome and feel free to wander our alfalfa hay fields and long rows of colorful lavender.   We are close to all the area attractions, wineries, golf courses, restaurants and historic sites  Crockett Road Lavender Farm  an active lavender producing operation and a country themed lavender boutique is on site if you wish to shop!

One note--We do not have full RV hookups.   Both Hipcamp sites on the farm do have water hooks.  And, in a pinch, we can get power to you if absolutely needed.   But there are no sewer hookups and no official electricity hookups.

Peebler Camp

This campsite is a pull thru road that has a sun and wind block overlooking local farm fields. Camp is two miles from freeway exit yet miles from any home other than the working homestead that was started in 1890 with huge barn built in 1906 next door. This is a great place to rest for the night or a week.  - simple, safe, and private out of the way.  From I-84 you will take exit 198 for Lorenzen/McClintock Rd. Turn onto Lorenzen. Drive one mile until you get to an intersection next to a grain bin. Turn left (west) and drive for almost one mile. As you near the two openings for the site, you will see the sun shelter directly on your left. You want to turn at the 2nd opening, by the sign that says IN. You can pull up right next to the shelter and set up your space however you like. That way, when you leave you will exit by the sign that says OUT and be headed back towards the interstate like you came. This is a dry camp with no water access or restrooms. 

This site is 12 miles west from the world-famous Pendleton Round-Up. 8 miles east of Echo Ridge Winery, Sno Road Winery, Echo historical museum, and Echo Golf Course. Simple dining can be found in Echo at H and P cafe and in nearby Stanfield at Broken Barrel Restaurant/Bar with great burgers.

Brown Barrel TC

Brown Barrel TC is a country like setting within city limits. It is located less than 10 minutes from Highway 395. A peaceful setting near a seasonal creek gives you the opportunity to experience urban accessibility and a tranquil, rural ambiance. 

This property gives you the getaway you are looking for in a safe environment in city limits. It is close to all the amenities in the city including restaurants, wineries, parks, and the Columbia River!

Water flows down the creek from mid April to mid October.

This is Willow Creek,  it flows through the ranch and under the bridge as you drive in.  You can fish or just enjoy the quiet.

Milk A Sheep Camp at Tin Willows

Didn't know you could milk a sheep? Or thought only cows made cheese? Come find out how it's done on this seasonal working ranch here in Eastern Oregon. Lambs are born in the spring and their moms are milked all summer long. 
I raise my sheep on fresh grass and sunshine. Come see for yourself here on the ranch.
Pitch a tent on the pasture and literally count the sheep around you before falling asleep or climb the hill and see for miles in every direction. We may be close to the road, but it doesn't feel like it.
We can accommodate campers, RVs, trucks, tents, and vans. 4 sites to chose from.
Each site has access to a toilet, potable water, shower,&nbsp;picnic tables, trash disposal, and we allow campfires (outside of burn bans), and pets.&nbsp;
We also sell fresh eggs, firewood, and lamb sausage.
Our guests love staying with us: "There’s fireside fun in fresh country air, rolling hills around the farm to walk along to enjoy the wide expansive view, and sights and sounds of animals around camp to make for a relaxing day. There’s kittens, dairy sheep, gigantic but friendly herd dogs, and a variety of chickens and ducks. The host was kind and friendly. Try the sheep’s milk cheese - what a treat!"

Located 350 feet from a county road, this peaceful space is surrounded by the natural beauty of the Walla Walla Valley, offering extraordinary views. The farm is "odor-free," featuring only field crops and no livestock, ensuring a clean and tranquil environment.  Walk the farm trail along the creek to Whitman Memorial and Museum. 

The site provides easy access to a spacious 20 x 50 ft parking area, perfectly situated between a charming antique barn and a farm shop, out of sight from the main house. It accommodates RVs or self-contained trailers of any size or length, with ample room for towed cars or trailers to park and maneuver.

Site is next to a private 18 x 35 ft patio with a picnic table and a propane-powered fire pit, ideal for relaxing and soaking in stunning views of the fields, nearby creek, and the Blue Mountains. Guests can also take leisurely walks along the farm fields, vineyard, or railroad tracks (provided no active farming operations are underway, which isn't very often).

WINTER NOTE: water line is off during freezing temps.   

Adding to the charm of this property is a friendly large dog named Oso, who roams the land to ensure its security from wildlife (deer, coyotes, etc).  I can keep Oso in my yard during the day (please see the pet policy and wildlife guidelines for more details).  Once he checks you out, you’ll be his new best friend. 

This peaceful retreat offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the beauty and flavors of Walla Walla wine country while enjoying unparalleled tranquility.  Note: this is a working farm, and it’s impossible to schedule farming activities.  A few times per year there will be tractor or harvesting work during the day  – enjoy  the hustle and bustle of how food is grown and harvested!

Horse Feathers Pony Ranch

Pitch your tent in&nbsp;the extra horse pasture&nbsp;on this beautiful small horse ranch in Pendleton, Oregon. Kids and well behaved dogs that are UTD on vaccines are welcome. Please plan to keep your dog on a leash at the ranch as we have vulnerable critters wandering around and pick up after them. We have a couple of outdoor kennels available if you want to leave them while you go exploring in town. 

 Campsites have access to a portable toilet, spigot and hose and cowboy shower (seasonal). Kids (and adults) can help feed the horses and chickens and meet Minerva the Minnie Pig! Pony lessons, lessons in making stone tools and tule ducks are available for an extra fee with prior arrangements. 

Relax and watch the wildlife. Animals you may see, hear, and smell during your visit include: raptors hunting over the grasslands; numerous swallows and songbirds; deer and elk; porcupines and skunks;  and coyotes and owls nighttime serenade. 

Fishing, swimming and paddling in the McKay reservoir less than a mile away. Visit downtown&nbsp;Pendleton, home to the Round Up! The longest continuously running rodeo in the US!&nbsp;We have lots to do with a bustling downtown, visit the Round Up Hall of Fame, &nbsp;Pendleton&nbsp;Underground tours, the Children’s Museum, the Pendleton Art Center and lots of great restaurants.&nbsp;

We have 2 tent sites that are accessible by foot you will have to pack your gear to the sites.If you want to car camp or have a van you will need to camp in our driveway space. Unfortunately we cannot accommodate tow campers the driveway is too tight.

Please plan your initial check in before 9 pm as both Tom and I  have to be up very early for work in the mornings. 

Travelers with horses are welcome. We have extra pens available with prior arrangements and for an extra fee. We have a special area for horses and horse trailers.

Last Chance Glass and Getaway

Last Chance Glass Getaway is a small eleven acre farm exceptionally situated in the gorgeous Walla Walla Valley. There are level access and pull through camp sites&nbsp;along the Burlingame Canal and the South fork of the Little Walla Walla river (a creek). Enjoy nature here on the Old Oregon trail in the form of beaver ponds, coyote song, deer trails, bird watching and star gazing - just a half mile from the historic Whitman Mission. 

Park on the partial pavement (Mountain and Garden Sites) or drive gently on the grass to one of the well separated sites. Each site has its own picnic table and fire pit. 

There is self service firewood for sale. Fresh eggs most days. Both available as an "extra" on the app. ($10, $5)

Orchard Site and Park Site are shady and cool on the north side of the drive. Park is nestled in the trees next to the barn. Orchard site has mature trees for both shade and sunshine. Park site has it's own water spigot and is within reach of a 110amp electrical outlet with your extension cord. No A/C or high amp use please.  

Mountain Site and Garden site are both situated along the Burlingame Canal, a historic waterway and engineering marvel worth googling. Both have an unobstructed east facing view of farmland and the Blue Mountains - perfect for full moons and sunrises. These two sites are generally in the shade around dinner time. Note: The canal is empty August and Sept

Creekside Site is the newest site. Fully fenced. Full hook up. Private and secluded.

Our property sits right in the heart of wine country, conveniently located on Oregon Highway 11. It feels like you’re out in the country, yet Walla Walla, WA is less than 7 miles away.

PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING

We have a small area in our Alpaca pasture designated for campers. We are a short drive (2miles) to down town Hermiston.  Our ranch has been here since the 1940's and has decreased in size since its days as a potato farm. The Alpacas are shy but curious. They are not dangerous but do not like dogs 🐕‍🦺 and other small animals. (Please keep pets on a leash) We remove the Alpacas and mow the camping areas but please keep in mind that this is a pasture that is used when campers are not present. Please be prepared. This is a working ranch and there will be animals🦙 , bugs🐜 , and poop💩 in the pasture. 

River Front Park on the Umatilla River is within walking distance and the Columbia River is a short drive. In the summer we have several farms in the area with fresh produce for sale and&nbsp; Blueberry picking just down the road. You won't want to leave town without picking up a world famous Hermiston Watermelon! Come stay with us "Where Life is Sweet!"

Pirate River

Grassy area with trees on the bank of the Yakima River. Quiet and peaceful. Fully functional air conditioned restrooms. Private outdoor shower. Complimentary coffee and hot chocolate station on site. Small campfires are allowed all year in designated spots. There are mosquitos so be prepared for that! During the summer months, the Yakima River is perfect for kayaking,  paddleboarding, canoeing,  float tubes, or just swimming. Catfish and bass are the main fish here and fishing is good most of the time.
