The site is grassy, small, and peaceful. There is some construction across the street, but they keep to 8am–4pm hours, so it wasn’t a problem during my stay. The outdoor shower is a highlight—open to nature and not yet enclosed, so it may not be ideal for those who prefer more privacy. I personally loved it, especially the river rock floor and the large flagstone to stand on while soaping up. Surrounded by greenery, it feels calm and grounding. The hosts were kind and clearly have a deep love for their land.

Tim’s camp was absolutely beautiful! Grassy meadows nestled amongst the trees. There were several other groups there, but it felt very private since there was so much space to spread out. The row of honey buckets provided were reasonably clean. A great experience overall!

A lovely space nestled in the woods, just a short walk to the coast. The easy check-in and provided wagon for the five-minute walk to the site made arrival simple. The outhouse was decent and the shared area was a nice touch. If you are looking for a quiet, nature-filled escape, this a great option.

This was a perfect spot for me to feel safe and protected! As a female solo camping traveler I knew I wanted to stay in a place where I would be safe, Tobias’s land provided me just that! The porter potty was clean and didn’t smell like they normally do! I didn’t use the outside shower but it looked like a nice area to have it. Thank you!

Great base camp to explore the area! We had a small group but it would be an excellent spot for a large family and friends gathering. The nature and wildlife environment is very relaxing, just be sure to secure your cooler and food for the daytime and late night snackers (crows and raccoons) Access to the beach, trails and town is ideal! We will be back!

What a great peaceful place. Highly recommend, rode my bike around and saw a little bear (my dog chased it from the creek) it was quite a way from the campground though. The birds are the only sounds, the sites are spaced so there's lots of privacy. Toilets are not smelly at all, according to my friends. We took a 24 foot trailer. There is a dump at bastendorf county park.

Beautiful and private camping. We were lucky to have the other site empty so it was just us. Definitely recommend for anyone looking for a quiet and peaceful getaway. Just wish we had spent more time there. Glenn was very friendly and helpful. I second the review that mentioned the generous ammount of firewood.

The campsites were spread out and you felt like you had the meadow to yourself. We reserved the yurt and really enjoyed it. Clean and accommodating. The property was well maintained. Loved staying in the yurt. Can’t wait for another Oregon road trip!!

From the moment we arrived, the hush of the forest wrapped around us like a secret. The towering Sitka spruce and moss-draped limbs seemed to lean in, guarding the quiet. There were no crowds, no generators, no highway noise—just the soft call of distant seabirds and the occasional rustle of wildlife in the underbrush. At dusk, the fog rolled in like a silver veil, and the whole campsite took on an otherworldly glow. It felt timeless, as if the trees and the cliffs had been watching travelers come and go for centuries. There’s a kind of magic here that’s hard to explain—it whispers rather than shouts.

Welcome to Sunset Bay Meadows! We have several tent/RV sites, a yurt, and one group camping site. Once a dairy farm and part of the old Simpson estate our property offers mushroom picking seasonally whey you may find Chanterelle & Hedgehog mushrooms. We're close to the beach and the Sunset Bay Golf Course is on the same property. Lots of hiking trails and you can connect with Sunset Bay State Park our neighbor. We have a private, secluded campground that is wind sheltered with approximately 20 acres of space in which to use our covered table, picnic tables, fire pit, fire rings at individual campsites, BBQ, sauna and outdoor propane-fired shower. The camp area is tucked away among large spruce trees and open meadows which lead to endless trails on the property, with the option to buy a round of golf at Sunset Bay Golf Course, which is right next door to the camp area. We’re just short of a mile from Sunset Bay, where you will find kayaking, fishing and a great spot for kids. The Whiskey Run mountain bike trails are a short drive away and are truly world-class trails. The Sunset Bay State Park has a huge trail network that spans the cliff line all the way from Sunset Bay to Cape Arago. Chuck’s Seafood in Charleston is a great spot to pick up local seafood. BBQ some oysters on the grill or pick up some fresh fish and enjoy the bounty of the coast. Charleston, just 3.5 miles away, also has some great restaurants and local shops to truly make your stay memorable. Only friendly dogs allowed and leashed or under voice command.

Coastal Farm Sanctuary

Since 2015 I have been steadily regenerating the soils and improving this once completely barren property. There is now diverse plant life on the property which in turns attracts diverse wildlife including insects, birds and reptile. Your stay here helps us to pay the bills and keep making this small patch of earth better. The property sits on a sunny bench just back from the ocean and just above the fog line. Our south facing location gets ample sunshine most days and is surrounded on 3 sides by a forest of trees. The property is fenced and access is by gate. There are two seperate campsites which are separated by our central garden and bamboo plantings. On most days the maximum number of workers on the farm is 2-4 people (your hosts). This is a low traffic area. There is very little street traffic before 9 AM and after 4 PM Mon-Sat. Sundays are quiet. Site 2 aka Freedom Camp is reserved exclusively for tent Both sites can use the portable toilet & outdoor shower. We keep it clean and odor free for a safe, sanitary camping experience. Bring your bikes, boards and other outdoor gear! Many adventures can be had here on the central coast. Your hosts are avid surfers and cyclists and can help direct you to the best spots to match your skill level. The property is close to town as well as road bike loops, gravel roads and mountain bike trails. We're close to the beach and that's how we like it. Within 15 - 45 minutes drive surfers of all levels can find something fun to ride nearly everyday of summer and fall. The 18 hole golf course is just down the street from the property and the town of Waldport is only 2 miles away. Yachats is a short 12 minute drive to the south where you can find amazing plant based food and they serve fresh roasted coffee along with a large menu of other drinks and treats at The Green Salmon Cafe. Miles of white sand beaches are located just down the hill from us where you can walk all the way from the mouth of the Alsea river to the mouth of the Yachats river. Forested and easily accessible walking trails are also nearby. South of the property is Cape Perpetua which is a natural wonderland with whales, tide pools, blowholes & includes a 26 mile trail system. Relax and enjoy the scenic 15 mile drive from the farm to get there.

Rustic tent and hammock camping on 20 private forested acres, just half a mile from the Pacific Ocean. It’s peaceful, wild, and surprisingly close to Yachats. You’ll fall asleep to ocean waves, not generators. This isn’t a tourist campground. It’s our home. We’re opening a few of our favorite spots to people who appreciate quiet, nature, and thoughtful presence. Our campsites were built for our family, not mass use. If you like forest stillness and a touch of wildness, you’ll probably love it here. If you’re looking for drive-in glamping with full facilities, this probably isn’t your spot. What to expect: • Walk-in campsites (5 minutes or less from parking) • No RVs, trailers, or car camping • No water, power, or trash service: pack everything out • Shared outhouse: use for bodily waste only! • Optional outdoor shower ($10/person) by request. It's attached to our home and rustic (some love it, others skip it - or wish they’d brought a bathing suit.) • Guided check-in required between 4–7 PM. No arrivals after 8 PM • All communication via Hipcamp messages - no text messages • One check-in per group. If arriving in two vehicles, coordinate timing or walk your party in You’ll park near our greenhouse and home, where you may see chickens, a kiddo on the play structure, or hear a tractor. Campsites are deeper in the woods and often feel totally private. A seasonal creek flows nearby. Depending on the time of year, you might spot wild mushrooms, huckleberries, and more. The beach is about a 15-minute walk, including a short stretch along Highway 101. It’s walkable but may feel exposed to some. Yachats, the 804 Trail, and Cape Perpetua are all nearby. This land once held a WWI-era spruce logging camp. We’ve lived here since 2013, slowly transforming bramble into trails, gardens, and space to grow. Our son is a cancer survivor, and our connection to this land runs deep. We’re not a commercial farm - we’re a family practicing stewardship, slow living, and welcoming guests who do the same. We love hosting quiet campers, nature lovers, foragers, backwoods hikers, and families who understand personal space and come prepared. If that’s you, you’ll feel right at home.

We are on Cape Argo Highway nestled between First Creek and Strawberry Island cove in Coos Bay Oregon, or the "South Coast". We are just minutes from beautiful beaches and hiking, mushrooming, crabbing and more. Four hours south of Portland, two hours North of the CA boarder. Coos Bay has an regional airport made accessable by our world class golf course in Bandon, Bandon Dunes 1/2 hour from our place. The airport has one 55 minute flight a day to San Francisco. While the listing says "no wheel chair access" this is just for the camper because there are steps. If someone in your party has a wheelchair and would like to camp we can help you arrange the area for a tent or car camping for that individual but we do not have an accessable toilet other than an REI camp seat on bucket we can let you borrow if you promise to clean :) Our tiny house is on the same property as this camper. We have two gates so our guests have a private entrance with secure parking. There are two well behaved dogs, Figi and Kit and one cat, Riddle on the property. It is okay to have your well behaved dog off leash and a small camp fire most times of the year. We have an outdoor sitting area and BBQ. Small shower bath combo in the camper and in progress a dog washing station! Even though the photos illustrate the beauty and privacy to the West, we do hear some traffic to the East and the ground can be a bit muddy near the bay. We encourge guests to walk on the pathways vs the marsh which we are preserving if they head out to the sandy beach to clam or kayak. Other sports that could be fun would be kite surfing, or wet suit swimming.
