On our farm we grow veggies and flowers. We raise Nigerian dwarf goats, chickens, and honey bees.
You will be staying in a 16ft Pacific yurt built on raised deck that has a covered deck for shade and rainy days. There is plenty of space for additional tents and RV campers to join! There is a fire pit, picnic table, full propane grill and composting toilet. There is also a wonderful warm wood stove for staying cozy! You can swim in the creek right next to the site or walk over to the North Fork of the Alsea River where there is 1/2 mile of river access and great winter steelhead fishing too.
Close to the farm is world class mountain biking, hiking, fishing, waterfalls, great views, and surfing on the Oregon coast. The camp spot is a very private grassy nook nestled next to Honey Grove Creek.
There are nature trails on the property with blackberry bushes. We offer farm fresh eggs, firewood bundles, and as the garden begins to ramp up- we will offer all the veggies to campers including goat cheese! We can do cash or Venmo payments.

Rustic off-grid forest sanctuary with wood-fired sauna. Home of 50 yr old historic rhododendron garden. Nestled in the coastal range of western Oregon lies our 50-acre property surrounded by a lush forest.
Explore the garden trails to find your bliss at a meditation station. Lead your own yoga session at the covered pavilion. Relax in a hammock. Walk our quiet country road or hike a strenuous private logging road for a view at the top.
The rhododendron and vegetable gardens span a few acres. There is an old orchard with a blueberry and raspberry patch, and you have a small homestead to explore. This includes horses, sheep, dogs, and ducks. The pasture, gardens, and forest are free for roaming with respect to the plants, animals, and human residents. Our wood-fired sauna is free for you to use during a communal sauna already in session. A private sauna experience can be arranged for a fee. A hot shower is located inside of the sauna house. It is available 24/7 except during other campers private scheduled sauna times. A composting toilet is located near the parking area.
Our campground is small to promote a peaceful experience. We currently offer 2 sites, with a 3rd in progress. The Zem Bungalow is an off-grid glamping experience in a round, wooden, cozy bungalow overlooking the rhododendron garden (max 2), and the Foxglove platform, an 18 x 18 raised wooden platform ready for your tent, in a meadow next to a gently flowing creek (max 4). Four permanent residences also enjoy the beauty of Nelson Mountain Gardens. Each are separate and away from the campsites.
You are welcome to bring your well-behaved dog(s). Limit 2. Horses are welcome with prior approval. Please let us know when booking.
There is no cell phone service in our rural area. Limited wi-fi is available in parts of the rhododendron garden and at the barn for making necessary calls (no downloading, streaming or extended video calls). A phone charging station is located in the sauna house. Parking onsite is free.
Smoking or vaping anything is prohibited inside of any structure on the property. Smoking anything that requires fire is prohibited except for inside of your vehicle or on the paved road off of the property. Vaping is ok anywhere outside.

This is a multiple-tent/RV area, and our house is at the top of the driveway, so there may also be minimal traffic passing by your site. There is abundant wildlife on our property, including deer, wild turkeys, black bears (rarely seen), many varieties of birds, and more.
While this is exciting and beautiful to see, it is also very important to take safety precautions. Please keep all food contained and secure any garbage. We welcome you to our property and hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

Fantastic! We booked last minute and arrived after dark. We had such a comfortable stay, and were in awe of the creek right behind us in the morning light. The bed is incredibly comfy, and we were perfectly comfortable. This place is moments from mine and my kid's favorite place to go catch crawdads. I would absolutely book again.

Beautiful homestead property located inland from the Oregon coast. Property has creek access directly adjacent to camping spot, with both bank sides being able for use. Once camp was set up with tent, I was able to use the kitchen facilities to prepare proper meals. Plenty of counter space, and even a nice meal table for 4 was available in the semi outdoor and enclosed room. This saved the need for use of my own burners and such.
The property had plenty to explore, with a bridge to access the nature trails leading into the forest. The hosts were wonderful to meet. I was given a tour and I even received a wonderful yoga lesson during my stay. I enjoyed getting to know them both.
Overall, the LivingWell campsite was a wonderful experience, and was quite happy with having nicer kitchen amenities. There is quite a bit to discover here.

Marygold and Mark's land was so magical and peaceful to stay on. From the creek to the array of beautiful plants to the alters set up all around the property it felt like a little slice of eden. We thoroughly enjoyed being the only campers as it allowed for more privacy and ability to drop into the space. The kitchen and solar shower were awesome bonuses to level up the camping experience as well. We really appreciated the kindness and generosity from Mark and Marygold who shared their garden produce and medicinal herbs with us and lovely chatting. We will definitely be back and encourage anyone who wants to experience the serenity and creativity of off grid living to book this place!

Our stay at Jeremy and Dana’s place was outstanding! The yurt was super cute and clean, very comfortable bed, and nice deck. The property, the views, and the peacefulness were even better! We walked to the river, enjoyed the sound of the creek behind the yurt, had fires in the fire pit and absolutely loved our stay. Will definitely be back!

What a perfect place to enjoy a beautiful grassy meadow and small stream. We had a camp fire and enjoyed a long walk along the Alsea River in the moring. We loved the goats and bought some damn good garlic. We will be back!

Weekend Trip to Nelson Mountain Gardens
We arrived and we're immediately greeted and shown the property. It's lovely and expensive. The tree house was exactly what I hoped it would be!! Lovely energy and perfect view of greenery through the windows. Down the path, you'll find a seated area near a small creek. If I had stayed with a small group, I imagine we would have been out there enjoying the space for quite awhile. I would love to return and spend more time forest bathing. The sauna looks so tempting and smells wonderful. Definitely bring yummy food to snack on! The road is quite long to get to the property, but well worth it. We were given bowls of blueberries with our coffee in the morning! Wonderful touch!

Such a great stay!! The yurt was very secluded right next to the creek. Our pups had the BEST time being able to be off-leash without worry. I was initially worried the farm animals would be close by (and one of our dogs is a herding dog who I wouldn’t trust lol), but they were far enough away that we were worry free! We were able to visit them though, the goats were SO cute and friendly.
The bed was seriously SO comfortable, I had to take a picture of the mattress before we left!
The composting outhouse was super clean. The whole property was just amazing and we had the best time! Also super close to Alsea for some great hiking and mountain biking. We will certainly come back!

Weekend Trip to Nelson Mountain Gardens
The bungalow was so cozy, and the property it was on was beautiful! The hosts were also so kind, welcoming, and hospitable. We really appreciated that there was a clean shower with hot water and that the property is gated so we felt safe with all the things we were traveling with. Would have loved to stay longer!
