Weekend Trip to Peaceful Retreat

June the host and her husband were very accommodating and super friendly. Their land is right next to a river and there was plenty of space for my tiny group of friends. There was a rule about no loud noises, which I completely respect. We did have a tiny speaker and were up pretty late around 11pm but there's enough space between the camp and the hosts home that none of us were bothered. Since we were the only campers during our stay she let us know it was okay if we didn't check out exactly at check out time, it felt nice not to be rushed out of the space. There were chairs, tables, an axe and a weber bbq she let us borrow. I would definitely recommend this spot.

Weekend Trip to Brownsville Hillside RV Site

This site is absolutely one of the coolest places I’ve been in my RV or just in general. The site is in the top of a hill that looks down into the valley. Sunset and sunrise are both stunning. All the proper hookups are set up nicely. The best part of it all are the hosts. Absolutely incredible people. For real, don’t pass up an opportunity to spend some time in Brownsville. The only downside is you may never want to leave

Cute cabin and very private! Sitting by the creek was so relaxing. Everything was clean inside and well stocked! Definitely a rustic experience (outdoor bathroom, no running water or refrigeration), but lots of comforts! The fresh flowers were a lovely touch!

This is a great spot! Our site was beautiful, peaceful, and quiet. We enjoyed the slackline and taking a walk around the property. It’s not too far off the freeway, so it’s a good spot to spend a night on a road trip.

What a sweet spot! Small and everything we needed. A little kitchen with a fridge and stove with a cute little breakfast nook. Utensils and cookware was there to use and even a ziplock bag for left overs. 🤍 The composting outhouse was clean and didn’t smell, we’ve been in a lot! The outdoor shower was hot, but the day was a bit brisk so we didn’t linger:) Great spot. We will definitely use it again!

Amazing oasis up in the hills of Eugene. The tiny home had everything you would need and it was so well thought out. The home is private but the hosts are very responsive. We planned a last minute one night trip to Eugene and stumbled upon this spot. Wish we could have stayed longer. We loved it and so did our dog. Can’t wait to return and recommend the house to our friends.

This is a great site! This was our second time camping here in less than a month. We didn’t use the cabin due to having our trailer but looks really cozy inside! The water access and large field for our dogs is perfect. The host is very responsive and accommodating. We will be back!

We were In immediate need of a campsite, we're so happy we found Drus spot. It was absolutely perfect for a quick overnight camp. The spot was at the end of hosts driveway but was still private. WE FEEL BAD THAT WE HAVE TO LEAVE OUR TRASH BAG :( we wanted to leave the site exactly as it was when we arrived but my car was so full we literally had no room for anything and we ran out of wood so we couldn't burn it. VERY VERY SORRY. But it was definitely a enjoyable spot for short term camping.

Have stayed here twice now and it's an amazing spot, whether you're tent camping in the orchard or staying in a camper van in the parking lot next to it.

5 nights at Applegate Century Farm

Susan is an outstanding human and host! The campsite was very well thought out and positioned to allow for maximum privacy on this beautiful working farm. The site allows for shade at all times of day in different areas with ample tree cover. Nearby access to the creek also kept temperatures moderate even during high 80s in June. Having access to a private bathroom for our extended camping stay was a wonderful bonus too.

1 night at Fernwood Retreat At Bloom Hill

I had a wonderful nights stay at this site. I had the place to myself on a Sunday evening and put my tent up under the trees. I walked around the property and enjoyed the sounds of roosters and cows, and loved the fields and open spaces. The property has a nearby bathroom within short walking distance, with a toilet and running water. The evening time was very quiet and I slept great. Petra came down in the morning to say goodbye to me and I told her how much I had enjoyed staying. She is a very nice person and is so lucky to have a great piece of property to share with others. I spent the day hiking up Mary's Peak, which was lovely. I will definitely be back to stay again when I have more hills to climb in that area. Thank you Petra!

River View is located in Glenada. No bathroom or running water, but there are 2 electrical plugs (110V and 220V) available at the pole. We have a free-range farm atmosphere, with 2 kids, 2 large dogs, 2 cats, and 12 chickens. We allow Hip Campers to bring animals on the property with the understanding that they are not allowed in the tiny house and that they are good around children and other animals, as our kids and pets are often running around the land. We have firewood and fresh eggs for additional fees. THERE IS NO TOILET on the property. This is not a tent camping site unless you bring your own portable toilet set up. No smoking in the Tiny House. This rustic property is close enough to Hwy 101 and downtown to be convenient, but far enough away to enjoy all the wildlife the Siuslaw River has to offer. Bird watching at its finest! Not to mention the view of Old Town! This little slice of rugged heaven is just above the Siuslaw River and right off of Hwy 101. There is a steep gravel driveway, but once at the top, it is flat, and the view is pretty amazing. From camp, you can see Old Town. Gaze down at the Siuslaw River and all the wildlife that comes with it! We regularly see deer, red-tailed hawks, ospreys, and bald eagles. We have also had a bear that passes through, so beware of leaving food out. There are plenty of places to hike and visit nearby dunes, rivers, lakes, parks, and the ocean. Enjoy Florence's amazing food (ask the host for her favorites). It is quite an "up and down" walk to Old Town for dinner, or you can bring back take-out and eat it in the tiny house (no electricity or running water). Take a short walk to Prichard State Park for clamming or just relax with a book and feel the breeze off the river. Whatever you enjoy, we’re sure you can find something close by!

Royal Heart Hill

*Please read FULL site description and rules before booking so you know what to expect and what is expected of you!* 'Royal Heart Hill' is at the very end of a Dead-End road, which means no sound or light pollution from passing cars or nearby residences. Surrounded by BLM and Timber properties, while being 6 miles from downtown CG (7 miles from the I5) and 30 miles from downtown Eugene. All guests have access to the outdoor shower, which is connected to the Dome. Please use biodegradable soap in the shower! Potable water spigots are located by the carport and at the top of the steps leading down to our platform site. Each site has its own composting toilet, fire-pit, electrical outlet and hammock. Nearby access to: two lakes for swimming and fishing, waterfalls and cliff-jumping, hiking and biking trails, dining, wineries, breweries, shopping and more. I am happy to offer suggestions and share what I know- please ask! UPDATE: The timber acreage that borders our property- to the west and north of Overholser Road- was harvested winter 2024. The property consists of Oak savanna, mixed conifer woodland, camas meadow, undulating hills and a SMALL pond (home to many rough-skinned newts- no swimming or fishing). At our domestead we practice permaculture, native habitat restoration and regenerative forestry. Poison oak is present on the property! I have done my best to clear it from camping areas and trails. Tecnu is provided in the outdoor shower. There is a mile long loop that goes around the whole property, which we keep mowed and accessible. Hipcampers are encouraged to use the loop to explore the property. To access- walk south/downhill toward the pond signs and follow the mowed path through the meadow and back up toward the road, which will take you back to your campsite. I have included a screenshot of the loop as recorded by my Strava app, which is in the property photos. The property hosts a geodesic play-dome and slack-line (during the dry months) up by the green dome/outdoor shower. Guests may play on these at their own risk- the closest hospital is 7 miles away. *Please note- if you do not respect our camp rules your visit will be flagged, hipcamp will be notified and you will be asked to pay 25% of your booking fee for cleanup costs.*

We put in campsites, a cabin, a barn loft, and a fire pit. We offer these to guests when not being used by our family and friends. Wildlife includes deer, turkey, and quail & 3 active beehives. Guests are welcome to fresh eggs from the chicken coop. We are fully fenced and gated for your family and pets protection. South Santiam River is less than 1 mile for fishing, kayaking, or rafting. Foster reservoir is 30 minutes away and Green Peter Reservoir is 45 minutes away for boating, swimming, and fishing. There is a loop exercise trail that circles the property and offers 30-degree climbs. You can also play games inside or basketball outside. Learn more about this land: One mile from I-5, you may pitch your tent or park your van near some fir trees at the edge of a small meadow bordering Elk Creek. Feel the restful flow of water bringing tranquility. Follow hiking trails along the creek, through groves of trees, or play in the singing creek. There is another hiking trail to another portion of the creek to the right of the road that passes by the barn. A sign on an oak tree indicates the edge of the large mowed meadow that will take you to another sign for the trail to the creek. When entering the property at the county road, you’ll see a big Century Farm sign on the left at the driveway entrance. Continue past a brown machine shed followed by two apple trees on your left. Just beyond the apple trees is a sign on a big fir tree that points to where the campsite parking is located. Shaped like an arrow it points to the mowed path to the creek and campsite which you may drive down to arrive at the campsite. Uphill from the campsite is a trail going through a small copse of trees that leads up to the red barn. On the left at the entrance to the barn is a bathroom complete with sink and shower. Towels are not provided. Beneath the apple trees is a faucet with drink safety hose and a bucket for your use.

This magical property is conveniently located 5 miles north of Florence and directly on Hwy 101, approximately 3/4 of a mile from the ocean. This is a large private site that is surrounded by old growth timber and teaming with flora and fauna. Campers are encouraged to explore, but be aware, this property is wild.. and encounters with wildlife are common. Beyond the adventuring that can be done on the property, Baker Beach state park is less than a half a mile away and there is a plethora of trails, parks, and lakes within 10 miles. We do have full time neighbors just to the North, so we ask that you be respectful and cautious with regard to dogs/noise. Hwy 101 can be very dangerous for unsuspecting pets. There are several roadside campfire stations(directly across 101 from camp) offering small bundles for $5-6/night. **Be advised that we are slowly working on the property to eventually create more camping space. There was a lot of dirt/fill brought in over the winter of 2022 and the property may not be as green as years past.** Please be our guests, relax, and enjoy!
