This property is a beautiful, peaceful country setting with wildlife and lots of surrounding trees. There are a lot of deer and birds to enjoy watching.
We have a large Koi pond and garden area
that we love to share with visitors if requested.
There is 1 large area to camp depending on the size of your group and how many self contained Vehicles/RV's. The main camping area has enough room for about 2 large RV's or 3 smaller RV's depending on the size. We like to allow for turn around room and pretty much let you set up camp however you like. There is some overflow parking if needed across the property near our shop for an additional $5 charge per vehicle which we can discuss. We do not have a toilet facility, so you must be self contained. Pricing is $60 per night per RV. We are approximately 1.8 miles from Hwy 101 across from the Myrtlewood factory in Hauser.
We are close to the dunes and Horsefall beach. This is dry camping with water available via hose from our house if needed. Fire season may be in effect depending on the season. (See restrictions.) If you do reserve with us, please make sure you reserve according to how many RV's in your group. Please be courteous when making reservations and try not to cancel last minute. If you have additional questions, please call or send me a message.
We like to let people know that there are a lot of deer passing through all the time and they do leave droppings everywhere that we cannot control, so please be aware. Pets must be on a leash at all times please.
The entrance is the gravel drive just past the main driveway which is paved. We look forward to your stay. Thank you!

We have 200 acres of timber cozied up to Siltcoos Lake. Siltcoos Lake is approximately 3500 acres and warm enough to swim in! Your campsite is 10 private acres surrounded by the rest of our 200 acres. You are welcome to hike, bike, forage, and enjoy the whole 200 acre forest. Your 10 acre campsite is private for you and your guests. So let your pets off the leash, laugh, play music, have fun! Your site comes with a propane bbq grill(bring your own propane or rent a bottle from us), fire pit, patio set, table and chairs.
There is plenty of flat, open area to maneuver several RVs and place tents. It is open and grassy. Our driveway is long and takes you to peaceful privacy. Our driveway is part gravel and partly dirt that we grade and trim as needed. You can place your kayaks and small boats into the lake at our property. There are 2 other ramps for larger boats elsewhere.
RVs, tents, boats, bicycles, horses and pets welcome. There are many unimproved roads to access our creeks, springs, ponds and lake or enjoy the deer paths. Our property has elderberry, blackberry, huckleberry, mulberry, thimbleberry, salmonberry, currants… mushrooms, many wild edible plants and wild life! Siltcoos Lake has 2 boat ramps, 1 restaurant, 1 bar, 1 store, and boat rentals. The restaurant/bar/store (Darlings) will deliver, by boat, to your campsite for $10 !!! $20 minimum as of 2022. Or drive/boat over to Darlings for their well known friendly atmosphere and great food served inside or on their heated deck!

This home was built with environmentally friendly materials. Building with little impact on the surroundings was very important to us during construction. The myrtle hardwood floor in the kitchen and living room was milled on site which came from trees that stood where the house is now. Same story for the beautiful maple flooring in the ½ bath. All of the large beams and fir flooring came from two 4' thick 104 year old douglas fir trees which also stood and were milled where the house is now. The fir trees sprouted after the last forest fire that came through the canyon. One of our neighbors fell a sixty five year old redwood that was over six feet thick! We used some of it as a wonderful wainscot paneling throughout the house. All of the finishes used are no or low VOC. Surrounding the house is native vegetation, huge trees and a few herbs and spices for cooking.
You'll enjoy the fully equipped kitchen with labradorite granite counters. The kitchen island has a new five burner gas stove with a convection oven and warming oven. The island has plenty of granite and wood counter space. Hanging from the exhaust hood are stainless, non-stick, and cast iron cookware. We also provide shade grown fair trade coffee and a grinder, espresso machine, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, utensils, chef knives, glasses and frosty cocktail glasses in the freezer. The dining room table has a river view and can seat six comfortably. There is also seating for three at the island bar. From the kitchen you can visit with the folks in the living room thanks to the open floor plan. Beside the wood stove are two chairs and the futon couch with reading lamp. A CD changer, TV with a DVD player and VHS machine are in the downstairs bedroom. Bring your favorite videos or browse our selection of movies.
The property has 150 feet of creek frontage with great views of Glenn creek, the forest and distant cliffs. Wow - it's almost like a private lake. Beautiful property, easy lake access, and perfectly quiet. Janellen and Allen were great hosts, easy to communicate with, super accommodating, and allowed us to have our time away without a lot of fuss. We will be back as often as possible- amazing!!

We loved this spot! So peaceful and beautiful. We were happy to be away from all the crazy Labor Day crowds. The dog was able to use the full length of her cord and have some room to move. We saw deer every day we were there. We drove down to Cape Arago and saw sea lions and seals, that was a check on the bucket list! Thank you for sharing your beautiful space with us we truly appreciate the break from busy state and private parks.

Absolutely wonderful experience Great scenery, clean water, wonderful location, away from everyone. They have grill without propane so bring your own. A fire pit, pool floats for the lake. Extra chairs and bathroom on sight. I could not say enough wonderful things about this place.

The Siltcoos Cove was everything we could’ve hoped for. As a first-time experience with Hipcamp, we would 10/10 recommend a visit to this special place. As a family of four and a little dog, we had plenty of room to roam and the lake access cannot be beat. There were even fun toys and bubbles for the girls, which we really appreciated! So grateful to these folks for making their land available to us. We had the best time and hope to return!

Dew Valley Ranch is spacious, quiet, ringed in trees, with plenty of open space- near enough to town and the coast but quiet. Our campsite was big, with lots of space for 2 tents. The composting toilet was immaculate, the open-air showers had great hot water pressure, and the farm animals made for amusing interactions. Heather was a great host- with easy and clear communications.i hope to make it back to the South Coast someday and will stay at DVR!

This was probably our favorite Hipcamp spot of over a dozen we've stayed at in several states. Convenient to Florence and the dunes (10-15 mins), with a long dirt road down to the spot, but our 2WD van handled it fine. Extremely private, perfect for letting our dog explore and swim off-leash without worries, tons of space to relax and explore (including miles of trails through the forest), and great amenities included (incredible fire pit area, small kayak, portapotty and more). Certainly worth the price, and can't wait to come back! In a completely separate class from the vast majority of hipcamps.

Absolutely loved staying at Heather’s property on Dew Valley ranch nature retreat! She & her husband
were so friendly & helpful. Fast responses to all questions asked with Hipcamp app. All the reviews are super accurate. My daughter and I stayed at the Octopus site. So close to the soothing hot showers, sauna, games & red barn which had instructions, history on the animals & their care, they had firewood for sale & other items such as cooking tools or coolers for use if you forgot something. The private compost toilet on our site was a major plus & impeccably clean. All the animals so friendly & fun. They also let you use their 2 bikes to roam around their property & to see the sites. Highly recommend! Can’t wait to return!

What a magical place. Right on the lake. The Hosts were so kind and offered me the opportunity to arrive early when I was evacuated when the Oregon Coast had a tsunami warning.
We kayaked, we swam, we cooked, we cheered, we played games. Beautiful fire ring, Stars, bats, bull frogs.

This space has been unmatched in all our research for a place to camp with our large family. Secluded, peaceful, relaxing and oh so beautiful. Right alongside one of the calmest shores on the whole lake! Your own private water access and tons of space for all our tents and vehicles, canopies and the like... and we only used the "lower level." The host graciously provided us with additional firewood which is wonderful for the chilly eves under the stars. If you love just being in nature... and can survive without the fancy amenities then this is the spot! You will even be sung to sleep every night by the chorus of bullfrogs and awaken to the sound of birds singing!

Wonderful spot. Great hosts. Good to know that you can't see the lake from the camping spot but you just walk a short distance and there it is and you can bring your chairs over there. The entry to the lake is rocky, good to have some water shoes. The spot was clean and very nice. Lots of amazing birds in the trees. Could use a fine-tooth comb to pick up little pieces of plastic and things that are on the ground but nothing much to worry about. I would recommend this camping spot.

This was our 3rd year in a row at Lakeside Meadow. Perfect for our family...
Because my husband and I love the peace and tranquility of just being in our own space on the water, we did a separate booking just for the two of us several days before the rest of the family arrived! Glorious! If you are looking for a private remote getaway... this is hard to pass up!
