The access driveway and site size make it best for camper vans and smaller RV’s. Long trailers, large RV’s and tent camping are not permitted at this time. The site has 50/30 amp and 120 volt outlets, as well as water and Wi-Fi. We have a porta-potty on site Memorial Day through Labor Day. The property has many areas to set your camp chair or hang your hammock, and lots of short paths to explore. Recreation opportunities abound around here: hiking, biking, fishing, hot springs, cold springs, waterfalls, lava beds, whitewater boating on the river, and flat water paddling on the reservoirs. Or take the Canal Trail West through the massive 123+ acres of forested public land that connects directly to the Deschutes River Trail (only 4 mins away). Our house is located in Wood River Village. It is the beginning of where the Deschutes River bends as it comes into the town of Bend. One can quickly and easily walk to the river trail from our house. By going up river, one gets the sense of being remote and in the forest along a well maintained trail that makes a 3 miles loop with many rapids visible from the trail. By walking down river, one can quickly access Hayden Homes Amphitheater, Old Mill shopping and Downtown on a paved walking path. This hidden gem is quiet yet close to everything — with a couple of restaurants just up the street less than 5 minutes away. Tents, truck campers, and RVs up to 40’ are all welcome. Pets are allowed, as long as you pick up after them. The RV pad area and front yard are accessible, and the site is well-shaded by tall pine trees, so it stays comfortable even on hot days. The neighborhood is about as safe as they come — you could literally leave things unlocked and nothing would happen. We love this Upriver spot!! It was our second time staying here. It's a perfect set up for groups with both RV's and tent campers. Lots of space, with a large fire pit and walking trails down to the river. Steve keeps it tidy with just the right amount of yard art and additional landscaping. He lives on site, so he's available if you need anything, but keeps to himself. The location is great for golfing, fishing, hiking--with easy access to the Willamette National Forest.

Zach was easy to communicate with, understood my needs for immune precautions, and got me quickly set up with everything I needed to know to be comfortable in the space. It was easy to find, convenient for errands in town, but away from the busy-ness. I didn’t end up staying overnight due to a personal issue that changed my plans but would recommend for others. You’ll definitely want an extension cord and water hose on the longer side for this spot, especially if you have a larger rig or opt to back in. Thanks for hosting!

Weekend Trip to Upriver Paradise "Private Retreat"

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Upriver Paradise and it was truly a delightful experience for us and our friends who came along with their trailer too! Plenty of room for both of us to park our trailers with riverfront views. Beautiful, private spot in the forest along a picturesque river, a perfect escape into nature! The scenery is amazing and Steve has done a fantastic job putting his personal touches all around this retreat! We enjoyed the soothing sound of the flowing river, it's a great spot for relaxation. It’s also a great spot for exploring near by waterfalls, hot springs and lakes! The grounds are well-maintained, with the cleanest porta potty you will ever see. There are plenty of chairs, picnic tables and benches throughout the retreat as well. Overall, I highly recommend Upriver for anyone looking to connect with nature. We can't wait to return!

We stayed at Susan’s place for four days and very much enjoyed it! Quiet and with lots of amenities including Porta potty, sink, grill and lovely seating area with a hammock. It was very well maintained-highly recommend it!

Weekend Trip to Trout Pines Camping

We just stayed one night so didn’t ’use’ the site much. But it was everything we needed to just pull in after dark, pop up our camper, have a nice peaceful sleep. Sat outside in our chairs with our small dog for our morning coffee, then got the road again. Easy to find if you’re coming from Hwy 20. Nice flat and clear parking area. Quiet restful night.

Perfect for Class B . 21ft van was easy to access and dump, potable water, recycling and trash was provided. Sweet!

2 nights at Paddlers RV Retreat

Beth’s place was beautiful spot! Resident area but quiet and canal view was wonderful. Many deers and birds, reflection of sunset light and trees on canal was outstanding! Provides power , potable water and dump was included. 10min or so to Sun River Brewery and many Food trucks was fun place. About 30min to Bend. Like Old mill’s District. Many’s are pet friendly. Convenient and quiet. We loved Beth’s place. A+!

We loved our stay at Upriver Paradise! Steve has a great setup. Lovely setting right on the river, very peaceful… plenty of space for a couple of campers and tents if need be. He also has a very clean porta potty which was appreciated!

My husband and I were just passing through for the night and this was the perfect spot! It was very clean and quiet. Very easy to back into with plenty of space. Host was quick to respond and gave great recommendations for places to eat in the area! We would stay here again
