Matt was an awesome host. The property is an incredible alternate to Tumalo State Park if you’re anything like me and don’t make reservations well ahead of time. The hobby farm next door has ducks, chickens, pigs and more and the view of the mountains is incredible. Super close to town as well, couldn’t be more convenient! Matt also allows your dog to be off leash and roam the property which is much better for everyone involved compared to leashing at state parks.

This was such a cute little cabin! It had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable, the views were amazing and it’s close to downtown Sisters and also an easy drive to Bend. We will definitely stay again next time we go to Sisters!

Joel is a great host. This is great little spot in Bend for a concert (what we did) or to hang for a few days. If you bring bicycles then you can easily get anywhere in town.

Joel’s space was great. There was plenty of room for our camper and truck, a hose to fill up our tank and it was quiet. We walked to the amphitheater in about 15-20 mins. It was perfect for our short stay.

Weekend Trip to STEEP DREAMS

This cozy cabin was the perfect retreat with an incredible view! We loved spending time out on the deck with our golden retriever, Winston — it was peaceful and relaxing. I’d definitely recommend this cabin for your sister’s stay! It’s ideally located just about 12 minutes from town, offering the best of both worlds: quiet seclusion and easy access to everything you need.

Weekend Trip to Working Ranch just outside Bend

I had a great stay on Mackenzie's land. The site was clean, well maintained, and the grass provided a nice surface to pitch a tent on. The tables and chairs were a nice addition. Upon arrival at the property it was well signed where to go. I also enjoyed watching the cows grazing at the adjacent field.

Our stay at Matt’s hipcamp was great! Calm and quiet property with a very nice farm feel but still very close to town. Plenty of table room and chairs with electric hookup and a dedicated area to pitch tents and a very clean porta potty! Matt was very friendly and helpful and provided us with everything we needed! Hope to be back!

2 nights at Big Rock Ranch

We stayed for two nights and had an amazing time exploring the ranch. The animals—especially the goats—were so entertaining to watch! Raina even invited us into the goat pen so we could pet them, which was such a fun and memorable experience. The tiny home was adorable and thoughtfully designed—cozy, practical, and just right for our stay. We hiked up the nearby hill to a bench and were rewarded with the most stunning view of our entire trip—just a short walk (less than half a mile) from the tiny home. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a unique and peaceful getaway!

My family and I stayed in a ger over Memorial Day weekend. We loved it! What a beautiful, serene setting. It was so quiet (even with our small child in tow) and we spent our days listening to the birds and watching the chipmunks and bunnies. Highly recommend canoeing or kayaking on the lake. David provided the boats and life jackets. He was communicative and even helped us get to and from our ger, since the road in still had some snow. Wonderful place!

Experience Heaven

8 campsites and 2 original Mongolian Gers. The season for the camp sites is from June 1st to end of Sept and the Gers for 2025/2026 winter are blocked out from Nov 15/25 to May 15/26. Pets allowed, toilets on site, campfires permitted when burn ban is not in place. Now up until this year I have provided Free Firewood. I have quit doing that for a variety of reasons, the least being the cost and the work for me. I am encouraging everyone to purchase a Propane Fire Pit if you don't have one by now. I am not to the point yet of saying no big dogs. Talk to me if you think your "big dog" might not fit in. I don't like running thru other campers sites, so just be respectful. Take them for walks along the lake, not having them run thru everyone else's camp sites. No Yappers, no barking dogs, no yapper's, no pain in the butts. Why would you drive by 46 grocery stores and forget to bring ice? No loud music. I have changed quiet time to 9:00 PM. You need to listen to the chaos/stressful music I suggest you start a band or become a DJ. What I want folks to get out of being here, whether they are camping or staying in the Gers is just to “take a break”. Relax, appreciate, assess and just listen. I hope what you hear is the sound of life and of course all the Angels that make up this special piece of Heaven. Then there is the silence. The best part of “Heaven”.

Pitch a tent out in the pasture, near the canal that runs through the property. We are a perfect location to the fairgrounds for the Farewell Festival and all Bend festivals throughout the year. We are 4 miles to the festival sights in Redmond and 20 min to Bend. We offer shuttle rides to and from the festivities so just enjoy the ride, enjoy the show and come home for a relaxing evening under the stars. If coming for The Farewell Festival we offer the purchase of a weekend shuttle pass to and from the fairgrounds for the weekend so you can enjoy your time and not spend it stuck trying to get out of the parking lot!! If you are bringing an RV or trailer we have hookups for electric (first come basis). We are close to Bachelor for skiing, Smith Rock for hiking, Sisters for shopping, too many lakes to name and 20mins to all Bend has to offer and so much more!

Room for an additional person across from double bed also in upstairs area or put provided mat on the floor. Please note: the space is small for 3 people and better serves 2. The Kitchen: Tiny house kitchen area has a small refrigerator, small counter space for meal prep, a tea kettle for hot water, water jug for fresh water, french press coffee pot and coffee/tea, hot plate for cooking, popcorn maker and popcorn, pots and pans, silverware, napkins, bottle openers, etc. We now have a new small outdoor kitchen with a two burner propane stove and an outside fish washing station. The Facilities: The tiny house offers a composting toilet for night time pee pee needs and offers a port-a-potty for all other uses please! If you want to know a secret river dipping spot or where to go to find a sauna I’m happy to share! Outdoor Shower: We have a lovely little “instant hot” shower for use on non freezing days. The Location: We are conveniently located between beautiful Bend, Oregon and Sisters, Oregon. We have hiking and biking trails within .3 of a mile! We also have books to recommend 100's of other hiking, biking, nordic skiing and alpine skiing nearby! And, since we are outdoor enthusiasts ourselves, we are happy to recommend places to ski, hike, mountain bike, float or paddle!

Rancho Mateo

Located on a quite circle with the far away country feel yet minutes to lots of shopping. Bring your camp trailer or a tent (There is a flat spot designed for tents). You will have access to a picnic table, a round patio table, propane barbeque (Propane included) with a one cook top burner, water and a 20-amp hookup. The campsite boards a small farm with goats, sheep etc. so, you will hear them from time to time. Located in Central Oregon just minutes from Tumalo State Park and found on the Deschutes River. The river runs through downtown Bend offering a lazy river experience. There are plenty of float rental companies in town which also offer shuttle service. The Deschutes River has an amphitheater boarding it with top name bands every few weeks. This site is less than ten minutes from "The Cascade Village Shopping Center" (www.shopcascadevillage.com) which has lots of restaurants and a large variety of shopping (Trader Joes, Local Acers supermarket, restaurants, Lowes, Target, and lots more. Ten minutes to the north is Tumalo town offering food carts at “The Bite” (www.thebitetumalo.com) with tasty local beers on tap, two cider tasting rooms (Bend Cider and Tumalo Cider). In Tumalo Town, you will find a general store offering refillable beer and cider growlers, propane, gas, and diesel. In Tumalo town, you will also find a coffee shop, pizza parlor, farmstand with local produce, a tavern with pool tables and the historic “Tumalo Feed Co. Steakhouse” (www.tumalofeedcosteakhouse.com) with an old town western feel. For you adventures rock climbing visitors, there’s Smith Rock State Park 30 minutes north and Mt Bachelor 50 minutes to the west for you downhill and Nordic skiers in the winter with plenty of mountain biking and hiking in the Phil’s trail system in the summer. 15 minutes north is “Well Rooted” (https://wellrootedfarms.co yep without the m at the end of their website) where you can pick your own fresh produce, buy meats etc. Fifteen minutes to the west is the Tumalo Reservoir for some quit walking and spectacular views of the mountains. I do not have a dump station; I do offer a portable restroom that gets serviced once a week. If you have a trailer, there's a dump station, "Camp World" charging a $10 flat fee located 3.2 miles from the camp site.

Learn more about this land: Pull up and let the vacation begin. The Lake Billy Chinook area has everything for the perfect camp trip. There is bike riding, boating, fishing, hiking, ATV riding, swimming, kayaking, lounging and enjoying nature. When you arrive just park in your site. We have 30-amp service but no RV septic hookup. The site is gravel so you may need to level your rig. We have a fantastic outdoor area complete with couch, loungers, BBQ and fire pit. The high desert offers some of the most amazing views of the Cascade Mountains with clear blue skies and some of the best star gazing around. Casa del Lago is a dark sky site. There is a fantastic view of Mount Jefferson from the couch and the sunsets are absolutely beautiful. During the Summer we usually enjoy beautiful sunny days and cool comfortable nights. You can hang out down at the lake and find a spot on the beach to have a picnic. You can also bring your boat or rent one at the Cove Palisades Marina and enjoy water sports. Hosts live in house on property. We are located 4 miles from the lake and are nestled in a rural country neighborhood.

Although we have neighbors, the location is across from a number of uninhabited acres of high desert. Within a 10 minute drive, you'll have access to mountain biking trails, hiking trails, the Deschutes river, Hayden Homes Amphitheater, Downtown Bend, the Old Mill District, and a ridiculous number of breweries and excellent restaurants. The RV site itself is a back-in grassy spot, shaded by trees, with both water and electrical hook-ups. This is the perfect spot for those seeking a base camp to explore all that Central Oregon has to offer. For reference, the RV in the photos is 27 feet from hitch to bumper, and there is room to spare for longer RVs.***There is some road noise. As Bend grows, so does, unfortunately, the traffic on the road behind our property.
