Weekend Trip to Tom's Rest Canyon Retreat Center

This place was great. It was very convenient to town, and yet had great views and felt very much in nature. There was such great star gazing and an amazing sunset. The host Cheryl is amazing as well. Incredibly nice and hospitable. This will be my go to spot when I am in town.

Absolutely loved my stay at the McKenzie River Forest Retreat! I ended up pitching my tent next to my car in the Big Leaf Maple car camp site. Really enjoyed the shaded grove of trees, large firepit with complementary firewood, and perfect location for exploring the McKenzie River area. Be sure to check out the nearby McKenzie River General Store & Obsidian Cafe for cute outdoor gear, books, coffee, wine, craft beer and good food. I also caught live music there in the evening. Angie was an excellent host and a pleasure to meet and chat with. I will definitely be back!

Weekend Trip to STEEP DREAMS

This cozy cabin was the perfect retreat with an incredible view! We loved spending time out on the deck with our golden retriever, Winston — it was peaceful and relaxing. I’d definitely recommend this cabin for your sister’s stay! It’s ideally located just about 12 minutes from town, offering the best of both worlds: quiet seclusion and easy access to everything you need.

Weekend Trip to Shelter at Castle Rock Farm

We loved staying at this hipcamp! It's definitely one of my favorites I've ever stayed at. The site itself was clean and spacious, and it was nice to not have to bring any of our own gear. A tent, two cots, firewood, cooking gear, a table and chairs, and hammocks were all provided. There was also a bathroom that was super clean and had toilet paper. It was a bonus that it's dog friendly, and our dog loved it as well. The location is perfect, tons of outdoor activities in the area!

We had a great stay. Mike was very hospitable, friendly, and responsive. He went out of his way to make sure we are settled and ok. The location is great, within 3/4 of the Old Mill District. He also gave us lots of tips of things to do and places to see in beautiful Bend.

Views were gorgeous, especially the nighttime stars. The campground is quiet, private, and has nice fire pits. Bring bug spray!

Our stay at this campsite was truly amazing. From the moment we arrived, the host was incredibly helpful and friendly, making us feel very welcomed. He provided a container of water and explained camp rules. The campsite was clean and thoughtfully maintained, with plenty of room between sites with trees and brush to maintain privacy for a relaxing experience. The location was stunning—I just love the high desert landscape and is surrounded by mountains that lit up at sunset. The skies at night were beautifully dark and clear, perfect for stargazing. It felt like we had a front-row seat to nature’s best show. During the morning, my son had an absolute blast exploring and catching lizards, while I got to unwind in the hammock and soak in the peaceful sounds of birds and the breeze through the trees. It was the perfect mix of adventure and tranquility. All with close proximity to the lake and adventures in the surrounding area. I highly recommend this campsite!!

Wow! We had the most pleasant time camping. Fred, the host, was so accommodating and friendly. He had freshly mowed an area for our Subaru (we car camp). We were offered water, but we brought our own, and there is an extremely clean portapotty. Even though we were near his campsite, it was still private. The stars were incredible! And the scenery was relaxing. We just needed a campsite within driving distance of Smith Rock (it’s about a 50 minute drive) and we got so much more!! I’m saving this place & telling anyone who cares to listen about it.

My family loved our weekend getaway here! Richard provides you with just about everything you need. The property is beautiful, our 2yr old loved looking for rocks by the creek. I loved this little cabin and it was a perfect place to relax after a long day of search & rescue training. Waking up to the sunrise was so beautiful and the view was incredible. One can quickly and easily walk to the river trail from our house. By going up river, one gets the sense of being remote and in the forest along a well maintained trail that makes a 3 miles loop with many rapids visible from the trail. By walking down river, one can quickly access Hayden Homes Amphitheater, Old Mill shopping and Downtown on a paved walking path.
