This campsite lies about 1 mile from the pacific ocean at about 15 feet elevation so it will be cooler than inland camp sites. I believe we are the closest camping to the south side of the Blacklock Hiking Trails. Also next to the Cape Blanco State Airport. Sea-run trout are in the river during the summer (no motorized vehicles allowed in the Sixes River by law. No motorized vehicles in campsite besides automobiles by rule.) - Please be accurate with the number of guests in your party. Tim's place was absolutely amazing, the endless possibilities and beautiful sounds and views 😍 we will be back. The sites where way bigger than we expected, we had plenty of room for all of us. It was so nice. We could hear the Elk and sea lions all night and the morning before we left we seen some whales just a couple of minutes down the road. It was an experience.

About 20 minutes drive . Charlatan is the closest town - Millers Cove - crab Louie Salad ! Coffee on the corner and Davey homes locker if you forgot anything ! Excellent staff and really unique campground. We loved all the little touches that made it feel special. We came for a birthday week and were blown away by the experience. Close to the beach, clean, lots of fun activities and just a beautiful place. You can tell they really are putting in work and truly care for the property. Everyone was wonderful and I could not say enough good things about the staff. Thank you!

This was a great place for us as we camp in a very large tent. It was peaceful, close to town and Bonnie was very responsive and welcoming. We enjoyed hearing the horses and chickens throughout the day. Our dog loved the grassy area in around our site.

Weekend Trip to Hideaway At The Vineyard

A very nice campout in the middle of a winery vineyard. Our host Kristie was very nice and helpful and gave us lots of information on the history of the winery. The site where we parked our 25 foot RV trailer. A nice covered picnic table area. Full hookups were at our disposal. Very quiet and peaceful area. We were parked next to the duck pond and heard them doing their thing and they sometimes came on land to pay a visit. Visited the wine tasting room and purchased a couple bottles. The vineyard was at our complete usage. We walked around quite a bit of it, talked to some grape pickers and saw the area where they make the wine. A nice tour of the area. Many thanks for everything. Highly recommended Hipcamp.

I like dispersed camping. Not a fan of RV parks or state campgrounds. This was perfect. Close to Cape Blanco and Port Orford. Quiet at night. Right by the Elk River. Watched birds and enjoyed seeing the cows. Note: there is no shade. For us not a big deal because it wasn’t super hot. Great host. Highly recommend.
