6 nights at Chipmunk Ridge

I had a wonderful time here. We stayed for a week and got to experience several thunder storms. Peaceful and serene location will lots of amenities. About a 30 min drive to the nearest town for resupply. While there is no TV there is WiFi and a small desk with a PC display and HDMI cable that I was able to plug into so I could complete some work. The shower, stove, and toilet all made the stay very comfortable. The wood burning stove was excellent as was the hvac system with A/C and heat, a refrigerator, and propane range in the kitchen. Would definitely stay again. Perfect for a romantic stay.

Weekend Trip to EJT Retreat

My husband and I enjoyed a weekend getaway at Ester’s land. It was quiet and secluded like we wanted. Having a shower and hot tub at the end of a long day of hiking was amazing. We would stay again if in the area. Thank you again!

This is a nice clean concrete cabin. Nice firm bed, new hot tub, and a natural pool with deck. Was here during chilly weather and I plan to return during warmer weather to enjoy the pool.

We had such a great stay! The cabin and surroundings were amazing — peaceful, beautiful, and just what we needed for a getaway. The amenities were awesome (special shoutout to the outdoor fun and amenities!). Esther was super attentive, flexible and understanding, which made the whole experience even better. Honestly, we enjoyed it so much that we’re already planning our next visit! Highly recommend!

2 nights at EJT Retreat

Quiet and peaceful. A minimalist dream, having a shower and a flush toilet to come back to after a long day out hiking was just the ticket for me. Also a nice soak in the hot tub was a welcome bit of luxury for my old bones. Sitting on the deck grilling my dinner listening to the spring peepers in the pond and the call of a Hawk nearby. I even woke up and got to see the blood moon and the eclipse in the middle of the night, while getting some extra time in the hot tub. Was a great couple of days and just the recharge I needed before heading back to work.

4 nights at The Woods At Pedigo Ridge

This was my first time staying in a Yurt and it surpassed every single one of my expectations. The effort that these hosts have put in is very evident. I was so comfortable and cozy the entire time I felt like I was right at home. Very private and tranquil. There was chocolate, marshmallows and graham crackers on site, fire wood and a grill along with charcoal. I will be booking again. We initially booked for 4 days and contacted the host for a 5th day because we weren’t ready to leave yet. 10/10 recommended.

3 nights at EJT Retreat

We enjoyed our stay at the Cabin. It's not far from town but very quiet, and feel very private. The hottub was great for relaxing after a day of hiking, and was plenty warm even when it was 20 degrees out. We'd love to come back if we are in the area again.

Weekend Trip to EJT Retreat

We had TWO deaths in the family and couldn’t come. Esther graciously refunded our money even though that isn’t the policy. I plan to stay here next time I’m in Hocking Hills. Thank you so much.

It has 1.5 bedrooms, with a queen size bed in the bedroom and a queen pull out in the living room. Bedding and towels provided. It also has a full bathroom and a full kitchen, pots and pans, dishes and utensils included. You can enjoy a fire out front and your coffee on the porch as well. At this time, the cottage has limited outdoor space. It is located less than 10 minutes from Tecumseh Trails Off Road, Merkles OffRoad, Wayne National Forest and Burr Oak State Park. A superb place to bird watch, identify native plants and trees, and stargaze as the cabin is located in one of the darkest places in Ohio. Also on the property is a 16x20 camping/activities platform for your enjoyment. Our doors opened in September 2020 with the intention of creating a simple, yet functional and secluded space for individuals, couples, and groups to come together and enjoy the serenity of nature's beauty. We are one of Ohio's only openly clothing optional and naturist friendly rentals. You of course do not have to be naked during your visit, but it is a safe place to explore the naturist lifestyle if you've ever been curious! We're located about 25 minutes south of Athens, Ohio and are within 30 minutes of some of the best hiking in the state.
