The site on top of the hill is a very secluded and mowed crest of hill surrounded by dogwood trees and the invasive Autumn Olive bushes, making this the most desirable site for getting full body sun, and shade when wanted in complete privacy. The site above the rxrwinery.com is a secluded, mowed clearing in the mature woods, making this a preferred site for privacy, shade and easy access to the winery. There are also 2 sites in the valley that allow you to be near your vehicle, one out in the open sun and near the driveway while the other is in the coolest spot on the property with a very nice rock formation to admire and secluded for privacy. While on my property, clothing is optional but respect for other campers is expected. Hiking the trails naked rarely encounters other people. Sunny Rest Skyview can accomodate an RV with no hookup, generator is allowed. This is a valley and may get soft after heavy rain. There is 25 acres here and you are welcome to use it for your enjoyment. We do have fencing to keep our horses in so please we ask to not climb over the fences as they will shock you as they are electric. The wildlife you may see include squirrels, deer and racoons fox etc. Located 2 miles from interstate 70 for easy access. NewConcord is just 3 1/2 miles down the road and is the home town of John Glenn you can visit his home place there, or pick up grocerys. We loved camping at Hilltop over Halloween weekend. We went hiking in Hocking Hills on Saturday and had trick or treaters and decorated and won the best decorated contest! Karen was very thoughtful and had breakfast on Saturday morning. The only thing that I would change is the site itself. Some weren’t level but we adjusted our camper to be level. Bath house was great and clean with showers. We loved the dog park all fenced in at the top.

Best campground of our six week Rv trip. Beautiful hill with so many activities, panoramic views, lake access plus kayaks, private trails. Also you can have tents at an Rv site which was very nice for our group of five. But honestly the best thing was the owners our Rv broke down in the storm and they came out to personally help us then referred us to a traveling tech when our issue ended up being more severe. So incredibly polite and helpful.

Beautiful campsite with a really nice view of the hills. We were a little nervous that it was going to be crowded pulling in when we saw just how many sites there were, but we felt very private anyways. Site amenities like the fire pit and picnic table were very nice and it was super easy to rent kayaks and go out on the lake. Overall very nice and typical good campground experience but what really impressed me was the managers’ behavior on checkout day. Our RV wouldn’t start so we were unable to vacate our site on time. We told them what was going on and offered to pay for another day but they wouldn’t take a dime and even helped us get a technician to the site to get us out of the bind. They were genuinely some of the nicest folks I’ve met in a long long time and they really helped us out of our jam. Lovely lovely site. Can’t wait to be back!

Weekend Trip to Butterfly Valley at Zaleski

I enjoyed the semi-secluded location of this campsite but also felt a bit exposed to those that did pass by—walking on the rail trail or tearing up the gravel roads late at night… The grounds were spacious, clean and mostly level and the firewood provided ($5/bundle) burned nicely. No water, but I brought my own and electricity was a plus (once I realized the main breaker had not been turned on). Be aware that you will need to back in if your power cord is on the driver’s side of your camper, unless it’s small enough to turn around. Also, the grass was mowed the day after I arrived, while I was gone and my privacy tent was apparently in the way. It would have been nice to have that done prior to check-in time, but it was nice to have mowed grass at least. Overall it was a nice, peaceful stay, and a wonderful place to explore. The host was very helpful and accommodating and quick to respond.
