Farm glamping near Beaver

Our stay at Fruitdale farm was idyllic! Such a great getaway from life. Aimee had super clear instructions that made check in and departure a breeze. Walking around her land and exploring her recommended local trails felt like a sanctuary. The A-frame offered a wonderful in-between for people like me who aren't ready to fully commit to camping in a tent. I still got the outdoorsy experience of a latrine, no electricity, and no running water, but after a day of hiking, nothing felt better than to lay on the super comfortable bed. PS would highly recommend the Cedar Run Trailhead with the Highlands Nature Sanctuary. It was a relaxing hike, with so much beautiful moss, greenery, and a breath-taking waterfall.

The Bus stay at Woody's was great! It rained through the night and we were nice and dry. We had a short visit, but super relaxing. Pre-ordered fire starter and wood and it was covered n dry and just waiting to be lite, which was very convenient. Loved having water to wash hands/brush teeth in the bus. Option to use stove in the bus as well, even though we didn't need it this time. Comfortable bed and peaceful atmosphere. The bus is located far enough from other sites, to be private, but close enough to use the outhouse. Loved also having water and soap outside the outhouse to wash hands. Would definitely return to this property and spend multi days there instead of just a one night quick trip.

Weekend Trip to Home Afarm

This was our first camping trip as a family, and we needed to find something more comfortable than a tent for the little ones first trip. Directions provided by the host made settling in a breeze. The hospitality surpassed expectations, and they even offered us coffee one morning! Everything from the camper to the privy was super clean. We spent one morning exploring the trails on the property, and then visited a nearby cave that was only about 15 minutes away. Very informative conversations about the area and recommendations of things to do from the host. We even got to observe the process of processing, and tanning animal hides! Austin also offers some very useful survival classes you can add on to your trip, and we look forward to learning more next time!

We had such a lovely time at the Cottage this weekend! The land is so peaceful! We really enjoyed our stay!

4 nights at Fruitdale Farm

I love the Fern Cabin. It stays toasty on the cold nights. The sunset is over the farm is always gorgeous. The gazebo kitchen is the perfect mix of indoor and outdoor. And Aimee is an awesome host!

The property was easy to find and the instructions on where to enter and park were very clear. The property was also quite beautiful and peaceful. We quickly noticed how quiet it was once the birds went to bed. It was a clear night so we witnessed a beautiful sunset and great stars. Our site (site #1) had a fire ring and a picnic table. Overall, we were very happy with our host and our stay. We will book again if returning to the area.

It was a peaceful, homestead experience with comfort and style.

My boyfriend and I absolutely loved this place.! Our campsite was perfect and very inclosed and private! Although it rained the owners had bridges and mulch to accommodate us durning the rain. We loved the trails they had on site, the beehives , pond and chicken coops even though there was none in there it was still a nice set up and the property was very well taken care of and set up.! The privy’s were very convenient and nice to have as I am 7months pregnant.!

1 night at Woody Acres

We camped in the bus for one night it was so nice we had everything we needed and they were nice enough to provide us with some tea. The trails were beautiful this is definitely a property I’d come back to i can’t wait to see what it’s like in summer I am definitely telling friends about this spot!!

This was our second trip to Fruitdale farm and it was just as fun! Though it was the off season and very cold while we were there, we stayed warm in the Fern Cabin. We used the kitchen for dinner and breakfast and had a wonderful time outside. We used the sauna and shower twice to stay warm and they were both amazing and relaxing. The trails and bathroom were well maintained and easy to find. Previously we stayed in the fall and got to see the garden and chickens so we did miss those on our trip this winter. We can’t wait to go back this spring/summer!

Aimee’s land is so beautiful and peaceful. The Sugar Shack cabin was a perfect weekend getaway for my partner and I. The cabin has everything you could need, and we can’t wait to come back! I want to make a stay at the Sugar Shack a seasonal occurrence at the very least! Aimee is so inspirational in the way that she’s built a sustainable farmstead and we are looking to do the very same!

Came for a romantic Valentine's Day getaway and the sugar shack did not disappoint. The cabin is cozy, and the wood burning stove keeps it plenty warm, even in February! It was great to getaway from the hustle of living in downtown Cincinnati and disconnect for a weekend. The tiny town of Bainbridge is very quaint and offers traditional small town Ohio charm. If you stop in, I recommend the coffee shop at the theater and walking through the antique store (it's huge!) Excited to come back and stay in the summer and check out the nearby nature preserves!

I had a lovely solo winter escape at the sugar shack cabin. The cabin had everything I needed and was cozy and warm. Listening to the water running in the creek just outside while having coffee was so grounding. I loved hiking Barrett's rim trail and Kamelands trail, and afterward getting a warm pretzel sandwich from the Amish bakery. Highly recommend the sugar shack cabin for a solo or couple's getaway!

Weekend Trip to Home Afarm

I’ve lost count on how many times we’ve stayed at Fruitdale! Always a great experience. It was the coldest weekend of the Winter so far, yet we were warm and cozy having everything we needed. Will be back in the Spring. 🍃
