Weekend Trip to Triple D Retreat

The covered shelter area with the picnic table was great to have as the area experienced some massive rain during my stay. Great to be able to set up everything not have to worry about getting soaked. I'm sure in the summer it provides some great shade also. I requested some bundles of wood for the stay. Was not sure how much firewood would be avabile close by. The wood was dry and burned easily, even with the amount of rain we had. I would offer a suggestion to the owner. When I pulled up, there were turkey hunters hanging out and thought it was part of the forest. Was not a big deal. They packed up and left within a few minutes. To avoid confusion, I would put up some private property postings.

Weekend Trip to Nature's Way

I stayed in the Sunny Rest Skyview site, despite being the site closest to the road it was quiet and felt secluded. Jim was helpful and had firewood ready for me to use when I arrived. It was close enough to Hocking Hills that I was able to enjoy hiking and the scenery without being trapped in the tourist bustle.

If you love nature DL's land is the place. Site 4 is huge. Beautiful view of the river, flat places for tent. DL and his family are very responsive and kind. Checked in on us a couple times during our stay. Nature sounds.. abound. Sites are well maintained and driving directions on point.

Weekend Trip to The Viking Longhall

This property is a magical sanctuary — like stepping out of time into another dimension. We stayed in the cottage, nestled right by the creek, and it was peaceful and truly restorative. David was incredibly attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. The cottage itself was a work of art, thoughtfully equipped with everything for a comfortable stay. My only regret is that we didn’t stay longer! We’re already looking forward to our next visit. If you’re looking to unplug and reconnect with what truly matters, this is your place!

Another great trip. Camp site is great and close to all the public hunting areas around. It’s quiet and you can’t beat the price and location and having water and electric. Just know if you have a longer trailer it’ll be a little tough to get backed in due to the angle of the spot. Will be back next year

Beautiful spot on Ohio Brush Creek. Our plans changed, so ended up staying with family instead this time, but we visited the large campsite and hope to camp there sometime in the future.

(easy access from 33 and to Logan) There are various places around the property to pitch a tent. There are also options for RV parking with no hookups. I can transport you and your gear to the remote sites. ATV's are also welcome on the property. Firewood will be provided for free and in abundant amount. The site on top of the hill is a very secluded and mowed crest of hill surrounded by dogwood trees and the invasive Autumn Olive bushes. The site above the rxrwinery.com is a secluded, mowed clearing in the mature woods. There are also 2 sites in the valley that allow you to be near your vehicle. While on my property, clothing is optional. If you are traveling with an RV, the Sunny Rest location is the best with campfire. This is a valley and may get soft after heavy rain. Please keep wheels near the lane if there's any question to the ground conditions and maneuvering your vehicle, please contact me.

We welcome both small and large groups and can help you plan events here such as family reunions, bachelor(ette) parties, and corporate retreats. With one canoe livery within two miles of us (Little Miami Canoe), you can drop your canoe or kayak in upstream and make your campsite a pit stop before getting picked up downstream by their shuttles. You can also rent a tube from us and go up and down our property or hang out on your tube anchored by the beach. We can also shuttle you upstream on Saturdays and Sundays. You can hike on our property to get scenic views of the Little Miami River Valley or spend time exploring Halls Creek (just down the street), the Fort Ancient Mounds, and others. We know other special local spots we can let you in on, too. We are just a 1/2 mile from the Little Miami Bike Trail and close to Caesar's Creek, Cowan Lake, YMCA's Camp Kearn, and Camp Joy. Hiking, kayaking, biking, birding, fishing, hunting, swimming, and more are available at several state parks and historical sites like within 10-30 minutes of the farm. Amish country is likewise near at hand with several bakeries, markets, furniture shops, and greenhouses. Our primitive sites are spaced for privacy, with a gravel parking area near the cottage and additional field parking is available near the road on the opposite site of the main house. While most sites are walk-in only, the upper field sites may be able to be parked near and the Lower Meadow, Boneyard, and Oak Grove may be able to be driven to, as weather and site conditions permit.

Valley Vineyards is right down the road to enjoy a bottle of wine and cook your own steak dinner nights. Take a trip to visit Fort Ancient with a day hike. A Native American earthworks complex, the largest hilltop enclosure in the world and soon to be a World Heritage site! Enjoy some canoeing on the Little Miami River a State and National scenic river which is within walking distance. We have kayaks on location for the kids to play in the creek and creeks to hike with numerous fossils deposits. Southwestern Ohio is famous for its Ordovician fossil deposits. Kings Island is approximately 20 minute drive and the Ohio renaissance Festival is near. Caesars creek state park in Cowan lake state park is within a short drive. Smallmouth Bass fishing is awesome on Todd’s Fork and we have plenty of area to Wade fish.
