Oppossum Hollow road is a one lane unlined rd and is not the best for RVs. Taking Buena Vista Rd will only add about a mile and a few minutes to your trip. Be advised Buena Vista is a very curvey road but is traveled by large vehicles all the time. Just take it slow and you will be fine. We have a dully truck and 45 ft rig that we bring in and out just fine. If you are coming in from the South (Chillicothe area.) From State Rte 180, please take Jack Run Rd. This is also a paved two lane road. All other roads in the area are single lane rds and are not the best for RVs (don't use Middlefork, Long Run, Stump Run, or Clapper Hollow off of State Rte 180). We have two custom timber frame cabins ( The Eagle’s Nest ) and ( Bear’s Hideout ) built in the lost tradition by a well known local tradesman of Pioneer Timber framing. Each cabin is situated on our farm for beautiful views and privacy. The Eagles’ Nest overlooks a stock pond with game fish, bring your pole (catch and release only) enjoy the deck on the pond, has a large custom stone indoor fireplace and both cabins have a outdoor fire pit. The Bear’s Hideout smaller of the two cabins is more rustic, situated on our back woods. You’ll have fresh linens, towels, deck with spectacular views to enjoy the outdoors, kitchen, dishes, pots and pans to cook or not. I have a cabin and/or RV electric 30/50 amp; water if the cabin is not rented. The state dump station is $8-10 and right down the road 3 miles. I'll only do the RV alone a week out if the days are open.

Amazing campground, and Austin & Kate were awesome. Highly recommend whether it's hot or cold, this place takes care of you. And be sure to just buy their wood for your fires, it's cheaper than Kroger, and it burns way longer. Can't wait to bring my kids here, they'd have an absolute blast. Weekend Trip to Geode Nature Domes

I had a lot of fun on this trip! The dome was nice and comfy even though there were a bit of ladybugs inside seeking warmth I assume. I didn’t mind either way because being in nature comes with the bugs. speaking of warmth, the heater kept us warm throughout the night even overheating us at points until we realized there was a temperature set on it. I’m very glad that accommodation was there for the cold. I do suggest getting there before it starts getting dark so you can get a fire going for light when nighttime comes. Even though the bathroom is a bit of walk (as expected with camping), it was a very nice bathroom and well kept. Definitely bring some flashlights or have your phone with you for light because there isn’t too much lighting provided outside except for some lamps and ground lights here and there along the trail to the dome. The area around the dome and the dome itself felt very private and secluded so it really made you feel immersed in nature. I saw some reviews saying all they heard were cars because it is next to a road, but the dome is up in the hills so there were barely cars driving by and I didn’t notice them. I also saw reviews saying the dome in right next to the owners home and it didn’t feel private. Even though I saw the home in the distance, They have fences built around the dome to ensure campers’ privacy. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and suggest it for anyone looking for a getaway. One night was a relief from our unnaturally busy lives!

This was a really peaceful and chill experience. We came out to get away from the city and it was a perfect little retreat. The stay was well accommodated and the dome tent was such a fresh and easy way to camp. Even though it rained, we stayed dry and the next day was lovely enough to enjoy some of the great natural hikes in the area.

We had an incredible time at the yurt! David was an amazing host: he greeted us and shared all kinds of local information and tips on hikes and activities and brought us coffee in the mornings. He has built a magical place and put so much passion, care and attention into everything there. The nature and activities on the property can fill days. We loved the yurt Viking decor, propane fire in the middle and the incredible layers of soft bedding! We will be coming back for sure.

Two of us stayed in the Cottage. The cottage was really nicely decorated and spacious. It had a lot of windows for views with thick curtains for night. There is a full size stove and literally 28 outlets. The greenhouse shower was nice and the water got hot quickly even though it was only 39°F outside. The toilet is an outhouse vault toilet like a porta potty but it does have an electric light and lots of tp. The hosts were helpful and chill. We mostly were there to visit the mounds and caves so we didn't explore much of the property but I think you could have a nice weekend just hanging around the farm. It was also a very reasonable price and close to what we wanted to see. I would definitely recommend it

I have wanted to stay at the Longhall since my visit to the Yurt several years ago and finally got my wish! My friends and I stayed at the Longhall for my 30th birthday and it was one of the most memorable birthdays I have ever had. Not only is the space remarkable, David was such a kind and generous host and made sure we had everything we needed. I hope to be back again soon— it is one of my favorite places to go for a getaway from the day to day.
