Weekend Trip to TangleWood Creekside Campsites

The campsite “Buckeye Bank” was absolutely gorgeous. The grounds were very well kept, and the cleanliness of the porta potties was a very nice added bonus. The site was secluded, but easy to find. Communication with the host was quick and extremely helpful. Blair was a huge help in helping me pick the appropriate size campsite for our group and vehicles. I would love to camp here again and would highly recommend to anyone visiting the Linville area.

Love the site! We decided to go last minute and it was super easy and quick to reserve and pay. The indications on how to get there easy to follow. The site was clean and spacious. Just far enough from the next site to have privacy. Our dog loved to play in the creek (us too, we even did a cold “plunge” sitting with water to our armpits). Porta Potty were super clean. Definately recommand!

We loved our experience at Blair’s campground! Campsites weren’t super close to each other which was nice, it made us feel like we were alone in the woods. We stayed in the brand new safari tent, and it was very comfortable. Nice handmade furniture and the mattress that was very comfortable. The deck/porch was the star of the show, that’s where we hang out most of the time. We’ll definitely be back soon!

Fantastic site at a fantastic campground. Blair has thoughtfully carved out some wonderful sites on his property. Very private and isolated from each other! Our site was right on the creek. There was clearly some storm damage but things are cleaned up and in lovely shape. We had a teardrop so didn't use the tent pads but I couldn't help remarking about how great they were! Very level! Getting across the creek was fine but will say the photo doesn't portray the incline into/up out of the creek. It's a decent grade you want to be prepared for. We did it pulling a teardrop so it's doable! Communication was great. We'll be back in the fall!

We had an awesome stay! Louedith was such a sweetheart, and was very accommodating when the booking site gave us issues. Clean and quiet area. Clean port-a-potty for the site. Water was available, as well as trash disposal. There was a deck at our site, and an adorable barn down the road with games inside, and the mountain views were excellent. Also allowed pets so that was a plus. Price was definitely nice as well. Would definitely stay again. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This was my first camping experience. The site was beautiful and clean. The port a potties were unbelievably clean and close to my site. I had 100% privacy and it was safe. I will definitely be back.

We had an excellent time at the Tanglewood Creekside Campsites. Owner was very professional and does a great job with communication. The campsite was tidy and well maintained and the rest of the campgrounds were cleanly made as well. 10/10 would come back again!

It was a pretty good stay.. our kids enjoyed it very much. Not a great spot if you are looking to fish. But for peace and quiet it was great. We enjoyed the hilltop clamping tent. There is plenty of wood to gather for the fire pit.

The views were beautiful. The setting was peaceful. There was a camper parked right next to us, but fortunately the neighbors were friendly and quiet. The barn was a nice place to hang out, but it was very dirty and not many games. We still enjoyed swinging in the chair swings. We also loved the fire pit and mountain views.

The views were awesome. The site was clean and well taken care of. It was very easy to back into the site and to pull out of. We would definitely stay here again if we come back to Asheville.

Weekend Trip to Wild Roots

This was a perfect little house for a weekend getaway! We enjoyed making meals and eating them on the patio! We walked our dogs down and back the gravel road and there are plenty of hiking trails within a quick drive. I would definitely stay here again and the only thing missing that would make it perfect is a gate on front of the porch so our dogs can roam the entire porch! The house was very clean and the host was wonderful! Thanks!!

Love this campground. It’s our second time there and we’ll be back again. Lots of room for kids to roam and explore, sites have plenty of space and are mostly all creekside. Only down side is porta potties instead of a full bath house…for now! They are prestige porta potties though, and the bathhouse is being built as we speak. Lots of may apples blooming, great piece of property in a great location. Also has several tiny houses and safari tents for those who aren’t quite ready for that full sleep on the ground camp experience. Owner is great to work with. Locked gate to the property as well for added sense of safety and relatively few sites allowed us the confidence to let the kids roam and explore and create their own fun.

This spot is wonderful - truly idyllic to be creekside, felt incredibly private and my toddler loved splashing around in the creek. The camping spot was impeccably maintained and had everything we needed. Blair was super responsive and being able to purchase firewood was a nice touch. There is a little bit of road noise but nothing that was a huge bother. We will definitely be back!

Blair and his property is absolute amazing. He has many areas for everyone’s taste. Many improvements are also coming to the property such as bath houses. His port o potty’s are very clean. His hospitality is great and I will be coming back with many groups soon.

Just a wonderful spot and the kids age 5 and 6 were overjoyed with the barn house. This is a really good base camp to be able to then go to Asheville and Hendersonville to enjoy the sites around. Our hosts were easy going and friendly. Would definitely visit again! Thank you :-)

This was a beautiful place to camp. We were right by the stream so any noise around us was muted. I highly recommend TangleWood Campground in Marion, NC. I hope to bring my grandson back again in the summer. Loved loved loved our time there!

Pink Fox Cove Cabin

We are located only 15 minutes from Asheville and a few miles from the parkway, surrounded by 14 acres of forest. There is a private hot tub that is all yours! Sauna available upon request. Professional massage therapist onsite as well. The house is hand crafted with unique creative touches for your delight. We look forward to having you! This home was built in 2019 by an expert craftsman with the vision of making it cozy and spacious with sweet artistic details and lots of care and love. The home is 300 sq feet but feels much more grand inside. You will be nestled on 14 pristine acres of forest, with two decks, your own personal private hot tub, and a spring fed creek not too far down the driveway. There is a gas fireplace outdoors on the porch, and an outdoor fire pit for your use as well. The house has a queen size bed in the upper loft, a large twin day bed on the first level, and an extra loft with camping mats if needed above the day bed. The house can comfortably sleep 3 and up to 4 or 5 especially if a couple of them are children or petite people. The house has a full kitchen and bathroom, living room area and two lofts. For now there is a composting toilet that is easy to maintain and we are happy to help you with it if you’re on the land for more than a few days. The main house is about 30 yards up the hill, and although somewhat close, you will have plenty of privacy. We are close if you need us, but we try to give all of our guests ultimate privacy. The house is under a huge magnolia tree, so it stays shaded in the summer and quite cool. There is an AC unit and heaters in the house as well. There is a personal hot tub, which is screened in, and located on the front deck of the house now. You will love it! There is a back deck that is only for meditation, yoga, and bird watching, and we ask that folks stay silent on the back deck if they use it. Pets are welcome at an extra charge of $40 a night. If anything is needed down at the house we are available. Much of the time there is a massage therapist on site, so if you are interested in getting Bodywork please just inquire about prices and availability. There is also a wood-fired sauna on the property, so if you would like to sauna please let us know. And an added bonus is that you are only 5 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway and LOTS of great hiking, great restaurants, bars, coffee shops, art galleries and more. Asheville is 15 minutes from the tiny cabin and Weaverville is 10 minutes away. On any given day you might see a family a deer, turkeys or bears in the front yard. There is a spring fed creek on the edge of the property you are welcome to soak your feet in, and there is incredible hiking just a few miles away. You are welcome to explore the 13 acres of property as well that the home is located on. This is not a place for parties. Our neighbors are about 200 yards down the hill so we try to respect their privacy and keep it quiet. That is why we have made the back deck a retreat/silent deck. Maximum of 4 guests.
