We have 3 very private campsites. "Chanterelle" campsite has a fire ring, picnic table, pit latrine, and accommodates up to 6 people. "Fern" is our 3 sided A-frame shelter that comfortably sleeps 4 people. It has as a fire ring, picnic table, and its own pit latrine. There is a spring a few yards up the gravel road from Fern. The third site, "Big Rock" is a group site located at the top of the property, offering mountaintop views. Must have V6 or 4WD to access. Big Rock has a fire ring, 2 picnic tables, and its own pit latrine.
A seasonal spring (Oct-July) is available on the property, drink at your own risk. There is also a small stream, Piney Branch, that runs year round (see map). There are three marked hiking trails. Please use the map to stay on property.
Green Haven is centrally located 20 minutes between Brevard and Hendersonville. DuPont State Forest is 25 minutes away and it includes hiking, mountain biking, and waterfalls. Boaters will find the French Broad River, Horseshoe Bend, river access less than 10 minutes. More mountain biking at Ride Kanuga and Ride Rock Creek downhill mountain bike park 15 minutes away. The 7 mile paved Ecusta Trail from Horseshoe to Hendersonville is open, several miles away. Nearby breweries include Mills River Brewery and Bold Rock Cidery 15 minutes away.

The outhouse is a thing of the past, just recently I installed a compositing toilet besides the bedroom.We also offer The Summit which is a high elevation, 2-story cabin surrounded by national forest which has evolved into an off-grid living and play space located at nearly 3300 feet elevation on a 1/2 acre flat with an incredible view. There are very private old forest service trails leading directly into the Pisgah National Forest.

Hiking: There are several miles of trails on the property. They range from an easy slope to very strenuous. The entire property is fenced so you won't easily get lost. Your climbing efforts will be amply rewarded by stunning views, especially at sunset. Trail maps are available upon request.
On-Site Amenities: we provide a clean porta-potty and running water that is spring fed. We ask that you follow "Leave-No-Trace" procedures during your stay.
Off-Site Amenities: If you choose to explore the area : we are a 10 minute drive from I-40 Exit 24. Asheville is 45 minutes away; Waynesville is 25 minutes away. Presnell's Grocery (highly recommended, family-owned store that sells locally farmed products) is 10 minutes away from the property entrance. The Ingles supermarket in Canton is a 15 minute drive. You will find every kind of fast food in that area. There are also several excellent local dining options in Canton, Clyde, and Waynesville which we are happy to recommend to you by request.

Please note that each additional car admits four campers. For EXAMPLE, 2 cars = 8 campers total. Our 95-acre farm was once owned by the Davis family who predominantly raised dairy cattle. We now raise the wooly Mangalitsa pig and sell to the best chefs and restaurants. We sell our pork at the farm too!
All of our campsites are next to running water except the two hilltop sites.
Two porta-potties are on the farm and private porta-potties are available for rent. Groups of eight or more are required to rent a porta potty should you not bring your own toilet system with you. We do not allow the use of our small wooded areas as toilets. No porta potties are provided b/tw Dec 15 and March 15

Get away from the crowds. On 300 beautiful acres once operated as a children's summer adventure camp, this property has a bathroom for camper use. There are 3 primitive campsites, 2 cottages, and a horse sanctuary. The campsites are spaced out around the property for privacy. Ask about bathroom use depending on the season.
4WD or AWD is recommended for all sites due to 1/2 mile gravel road and then completely off road for a short distance. Or, if you are bringing 2WD, there is plenty of parking and then walk to your campsite. We don't recommend trying to bring large RV's due to the access.
We have not had a problem with Black Bears on the property. Help us keep it that way. Do not store or keep food in your tent. Don't sleep with food. Keep in mind bears are omnivores much like us. They eat mostly plants but also eat meat. For more info on bear safety, visit www.bearwise.org
Winter camping is encouraged with free firewood. However, you will probably need to park on the gravel and walk to your campsite to limit soil erosion of the off-road trail.
Pets are welcome only at some sites, but please please let us know you are bringing them and they will need to be leashed due to other animals.
A large part of the property is forest with hiking trails, creeks, and wildlife. You can see wildflowers and lightning bugs in season along with deer, turkey, and horses.
And all of our spots have a great view of the sky! We're not far from the Bare Dark Sky Observatory.
The grass horse arena and the pond were originally built for the summer camp. The pond is stocked with bass and bluegill and has a chorus of bullfrogs in summer. The arena is flat and has a long range mountain view all the way to Mt. Mitchell (highest peak east of the Mississippi). There are also a meadow spot encircled by trees.

Hi! We are excited that you are thinking of camping with us. You'll be staying on our farm, which is a working horseback riding and equine therapy facility as well as a sanctuary for many other animals (including mini cows, turkeys, chickens, a pig, alpacas, goats, and a llama!) Our campsites are rustic. We do provide a port-a-potty on site as well as 7 gallons of drinking-safe water. There is a convenience store and gas station 1/2 mile away, so snacks and fuel can be easily accessed.
If you're looking for extremely quiet, we may not be the right fit, as our animals don't keep quiet hours so you may hear a moo or a crow at any time, but we think it's fantastic here!
Tents and RVs are welcome! RV folks, we do NOT have hookups at this time, so you will be boon docking.

Located on family land granted by King Charles in 1685 we have worked hard to restore and refurbish in a sustainable way, using the trees and supplies from the land that they sit on. Hand crafting doors and furniture the way the family did it 140 plus years ago. The history of this place is deep, even the nails for the cabin and farm house that is now the clubhouse were hand crafted by my great grandfather in his blacksmith shop, along with the wagon wheels, horse shoes, misc farm utensils etc... there was no running out to Lowes to pick up what was needed, it was made in the blacksmith shop.
We love riding ATV's and SXS's on the trails on the mountains that I grew up on with my 3 brothers, we hope the people who visit and experience the mountains feel about them the way we do, we love em. We like to give riding tours and talking about the mountain and its challenges.
We named the park from the famous product that was created here during prohibition, Cherry Bounce Moonshine. You can visit some of the original still sites on the mountain, of course they are not operational today.

We are an adrenaline pumping ATV and SXS park with 25+ miles of mountainous trails at four skill levels; Green (Easy), Blue (Challenging), Black Diamond (Very Difficult) and Double Black Diamond (Most Difficult).
You can bring your own ATV or SXS or rent one of ours. We have cabins & camp sites that are accessed by ATV or SXS on the mountains as well as hiking or biking. We do not allow jeeps, trucks or dirt bike motorcycles on the mountain, just ATV's and SXS vehicles.

A seasonal spring (Oct-July) is available on the property, drink at your own risk. There is also a small stream, Piney Branch, that runs year round (see map). There are three marked hiking trails. Please use the map to stay on property.
Green Haven is centrally located 20 minutes between Brevard and Hendersonville. DuPont State Forest is 25 minutes away and it includes hiking, mountain biking, and waterfalls. Boaters will find the French Broad River, Horseshoe Bend, river access less than 10 minutes. More mountain biking at Ride Kanuga and Ride Rock Creek downhill mountain bike park 15 minutes away. On-Site Amenities: we provide a clean porta-potty and running water that is spring fed. We ask that you follow "Leave-No-Trace" procedures during your stay.
Off-Site Amenities: If you choose to explore the area : we are a 10 minute drive from I-40 Exit 24. Asheville is 45 minutes away; Waynesville is 25 minutes away. Presnell's Grocery (highly recommended, family-owned store that sells locally farmed products) is 10 minutes away from the property entrance. The Ingles supermarket in Canton is a 15 minute drive. You will find every kind of fast food in that area. There are also several excellent local dining options in Canton, Clyde, and Waynesville which we are happy to recommend to you by request.

Two porta-potties are on the farm and private porta-potties are available for rent. Groups of eight or more are required to rent a porta potty should you not bring your own toilet system with you. Get away from the crowds. On 300 beautiful acres once operated as a children's summer adventure camp, this property has a bathroom for camper use. 4WD or AWD is recommended for all sites due to 1/2 mile gravel road and then completely off road for a short distance. Or, if you are bringing 2WD, there is plenty of parking and then walk to your campsite. We don't recommend trying to bring large RV's due to the access.
We have not had a problem with Black Bears on the property. Help us keep it that way. Do not store or keep food in your tent. Don't sleep with food. Keep in mind bears are omnivores much like us. They eat mostly plants but also eat meat. For more info on bear safety, visit www.bearwise.org
Winter camping is encouraged with free firewood. However, you will probably need to park on the gravel and walk to your campsite to limit soil erosion of the off-road trail.

A large part of the property is forest with hiking trails, creeks, and wildlife. You can see wildflowers and lightning bugs in season along with deer, turkey, and horses.
And all of our spots have a great view of the sky! We're not far from the Bare Dark Sky Observatory.
The grass horse arena and the pond were originally built for the summer camp. The pond is stocked with bass and bluegill and has a chorus of bullfrogs in summer. The arena is flat and has a long range mountain view all the way to Mt. Mitchell (highest peak east of the Mississippi). There are also a meadow spot encircled by trees.

Located on family land granted by King Charles in 1685 we have worked hard to restore and refurbish in a sustainable way, using the trees and supplies from the land that they sit on. Hand crafting doors and furniture the way the family did it 140 plus years ago. The history of this place is deep, even the nails for the cabin and farm house that is now the clubhouse were hand crafted by my great grandfather in his blacksmith shop, along with the wagon wheels, horse shoes, misc farm utensils etc... there was no running out to Lowes to pick up what was needed, it was made in the blacksmith shop.
We love riding ATV's and SXS's on the trails on the mountains that I grew up on with my 3 brothers, we hope the people who visit and experience the mountains feel about them the way we do, we love em. We like to give riding tours and talking about the mountain and its challenges.
We named the park from the famous product that was created here during prohibition, Cherry Bounce Moonshine. You can visit some of the original still sites on the mountain, of course they are not operational today.

We are an adrenaline pumping ATV and SXS park with 25+ miles of mountainous trails at four skill levels; Green (Easy), Blue (Challenging), Black Diamond (Very Difficult) and Double Black Diamond (Most Difficult).
You can bring your own ATV or SXS or rent one of ours. We have cabins & camp sites that are accessed by ATV or SXS on the mountains as well as hiking or biking. We do not allow jeeps, trucks or dirt bike motorcycles on the mountain, just ATV's and SXS vehicles.

Wunderland is a boutique resort that focuses on connections, experience and sustainability. We offer various accommodations including, dreamy and immersive villas, themed tent structured, vanlife sites, and primitive camping. Additionally, the property will have many unique features to encourage deep connection with yourself and others, to relax and have a great time!
On the property you will find community areas and amenities including a fire pit, bathhouse with 4 private bathrooms, and a community kitchen. There is a wellness area that overlooks our swimmable pond, has a sauna and a relaxation corner. Across the pond is our outdoor dining area and grill for use.
Within the bathrooms, the showers are supplied with shampoo, conditioner & body soap. In the community kitchen you will find hot plates, a toaster oven & a griddle for cooking, as well coffee maker (with coffee supplied) for a pick me up. The kitchen is stocked with all the dishes you should need and cutlery & cooking utensils. There is a sink, dish soap & dishwasher, as well as a commercial fridge to store your perishables.

Come enjoy 90 acres of lush wilderness, a remote waterfall, multiple creeks, small pond, and petting farm. As you enter the property our donkey and friendly goats (4 babies were born in July) love to eat treats from your hand. We have beautiful views of the blue ridge mountains as well as hiking or biking trails throughout the property that connect into the Pisgah National Forest. We met one of the hosts, Mike, as soon as we arrived. He was incredibly welcoming and even helped us carry our gear down to the campsite. The location by the river was beautiful. It had all the allure of backpacking into a remote site without any of the effort. I'd recommend this spot to anyone looking for an easy but authentic outdoor experience

Beautiful spot for a quiet weekend with friends! Very private spot. Just the rest we needed. Your directions were clear to the property, we appreciated the detailed map. The firewood was a treat. We slept great, the mattresses in the A-frame are super comfy! We heard an owl at night and a whipperwill the next morning. The hiking trail behind the campsite was a sweet little meander through your woods. Thank you for having us!

Weekend Trip to Wunderland Resort
Wunderland Resort is a great place to unwind and relax especially if you’re looking for a glamping experience. Me and my husband stayed in the Earth Pod accommodation and it was comfortable and romantic. The resort itself is nicely laid out and has a lovely sauna and pond, cute communal dining space, and the bathrooms are an interesting experience especially if you’re a music lover. I’m looking forward to staying there again soon and I would say it’s definitely worth the cost and would be suitable for anyone looking for some quiet relaxation and an escape from the world.

I highly recommend this camp site. It is minutes from the downtown area, but still far enough away for outdoor seclusion. Very quiet, clean, and the environment itself was fantastic. Being my kids first time camping was a big deal for me and this spot provided all the stops for a great child-hood memory with their parents. The Saluda river runs along all sites (including a nice cabin) and can be heard through the light rapids just a short walk away. Mike was really hospitable in taking the time to not only transport our gear to the site, but to show us some of the best “hangout spots” near the water. Excellent place for tubing and swimming in the warmer months, and we will be definitely returning for that. My kids absolutely loved it and of all the many outdoor excursions that I have taken them on they have repeatedly said this was the best one. They literally had NOTHING negative to say about it. If you do not visit here, whether an experienced camper or not, you’re missing out for sure. If I could leave 10 stars I would.

The Bend was a great way to spend the first nice weekend here in SC, the river was so peaceful and relaxing and the spot was very secluded, my dog was able to run free and enjoy the little land peacefully.

This property is more beautiful than any expectation I had. The hosts were very helpful and communicated well. The views were amazing with spectacular sunset and sunrise from site 8. The four wheel drive requirement is a must. Subaru Outback Wilderness made it look easy.
Plenty of room for tents. For my next stay, I’ll bring a popup tent for a little shade. The porta Jon is a bit of a walk but was very clean.
The hosts descriptions are very accurate. I strongly recommend this site.

This location is awesome! It offers great views, a covered car port, fire pit and hot tub that are even better than we imagined. It has water and electric connections take your visit to the next level. This site offers all of that and I havent even mentioned the bath house, the star of the show. Visit and you will understand. You won't regret booking this campsite.

Cedar Ridge is an outstanding private campground and a perfect base for outdoor recreation in the area. The outdoor shower was fantastic and the outhouse was exceptionally clean and well maintained. Both were positioned perfectly relative to the campsites. The property is quiet, peaceful, and clearly cared for. Andy, the owner, was friendly, welcoming, and very helpful during my stay. If you’re looking for a clean, well-run private campground close to great hiking, biking, and outdoor adventure, Cedar Ridge is an excellent choice. I will absolutely stay here again.

My wife and I stayed for the weekend in the tent camping location with the hot tub and really enjoyed ourselves. Everything was really nice and clean from the property, to the hot tub and the bath house. We enjoyed walking the trails and gazing at the stars at night. We would definitely love to return again someday.

Our stay at Gnome Yome was a great experience. The yurt was cozy, clean, and spacious with the perfect balance of rustic charm and modern comfort. I loved seeing the beautiful mountain views right from inside the yurt. One of the best parts was being able to walk to a waterfall just a few minutes away, along with other hiking trails with our two dogs. The yurt had everything you need, and we especially loved the private grill for cooking. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway with beautiful views.
