If our trails aren’t enough and you want more adventure, just two miles away is the Holly Shelter game lands entrance where you’ll find thousands of acres for hunting, biking, hiking or horseback riding. And if you’re craving a beach day, Wrightsville beach is just a 30 minute drive away as well as is downtown Wilmington where you can enjoy walking the riverfront for shopping or dining. I came here in early November and wound up extending my stay twice because we enjoyed it so much. Connie and Jeff have a beautiful well maintained piece of property with plenty of level ground for the camper. There were several trails I explored with my pets and plenty of wood for fires at night. Plus only a 15 minute drive to the beach. It felt very private and safe the whole time I was there. I hope to be back someday!

My husband and I loved our stay at canter lakes! We loved waking up and drinking coffee overlooking the water and taking walks to go look at the horses. The property was clean and well maintained. The bathroom and shower were also very clean and a great feature to have while camping. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking to have a cute camping getaway.

My boyfriend and I brought our NuCamp Barefoot travel trailer out camping for the first time here and it was absolutely beautiful! It was super peaceful and a nice large area with everything you need! We’re definitely going to come back with friends very soon!

Weekend Trip to Lake Linda

This was our first Hip camp experience, and we enjoyed our stay! While the camp site isn't quite as secluded as I had imagined (both in proximity to the host house and the highway), the hosts were very responsive and attentive, and helped ensure we had all we needed to enjoy our stay. My son and I enjoyed the first night so much that I extended my stay and brought my daughter back for the second night. The kids both loved the animals, and the convenience to Topsail Beach (15 minutes away) is hard to beat. Thanks for a great weekend!

It is a wonderful place to camp. Wake up and see the sunrise over the lake is breathtaking. Great to see all of the lovely animals on the farm, which you get to see as you walk to the bathhouse. You can see the traffic on the main highway as its lights go by. The very low noise from the traffic is no worry, as when you want to sleep (Day or Night), the host is always only a text away if you need anything. We will be going back. The store they have next to the bathhouse is great to get some food to cook.

I stayed one night, the site was clean and level. It had room for my truck and boat. This location is close to the beach and Topsail Sound. The host was very nice.

The site was beautiful, well kept and secluded. The spaces around the docks and the beach needed a little TLC but it didn't distract from the beauty of the location. We did some fishing (caught a sunfish and a bluegill), went swimming a couple of times and enjoyed walking the trails. It was really an incredible place to stay. Thank you !

Jane showed above-and-beyond kindness and made sure I had everything I needed, and even some special touches -for my special occasion trip- that I would never have thought of or expected. Her space is super laidback and “personal.” The platform was easily accessible to get to and from my car, really clean and comfortable, with a really great view and places to relax! I look forward to coming back!

Decided on this Site to try my first motorcycle camping trip. Site overlooks Lake Linda and has a picnic table. Its very easy to get to AND the bonus is the Bojangles is a short walk away. 2 blocks max. Lots of wild life, I saw goats, geese and ducks. The site itself is flat and clean. I asked for and got a fire rings, no problem. Lots of retail in the area so I was able to make a run to the Lowes Home Improvement for my camp wood. The owners were nice and are part of a family farm. They even offered for me to put my bike under cover with the threat of rain. I would definitely go back. 20 Minutes to the nearby beaches and all the sites to see. Thank you!

Jane is a wonderful host and makes you feel very welcome on her land. We booked the honey house and pavilion with a big group and had the best time. There is great water access and although the camp sites are close together and near residents, there is great wood cover which maintains privacy. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Would recommend good bug spray and battery powered fans!

Camp is great and well kept. Lots of space and very private but still close to anything and everything you could want. It's close to the beach so of course it's going to be hot and humid with mosquitos so be prepared if you have a tent in the hot months!
