William Cornelius Vineyard is a 50-acre private working vineyard and farm that includes 6 acres of Vineyard, 15 acres of corn/soybean fields, and 15 acres of forest. Two vintage tobacco barns add rustic charm to the site. A lovely stream flows down cascading rock shelves along one side of the property, and a small pond is located on the other side. You will have the farm to yourself. There is only one RV site on the property and no other residents, except for the deer and occasional turkey, racoon, squirrels, and birds. From your RV and site you will have an unobstructed view over the vineyard of the sunset and western range of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The Vineyard includes Viognier, Merlot, and Chambourcin grapes. My Neighbor has started his own Campsite, "The Swimming Hole". If mine is booked up and you still want to camp, look him up. His is better suited for small groups but has much more privacy. We have a new road to the campsite; you can now drive down with two-wheel drive vehicle or RV down and park near your tent! There is plenty of soft sand to set up one tent or ten tents; large groups are welcome for an extra fee. A Porta-Potty is available at the campsite. Swimming is usually possible at the base of the falls; however, large amounts of rain can change conditions and make it unusable. I should also add, this is not a completely private campsite deep in the woods. The camp is visible from a shared driveway, and my residence is up a hill that overlooks the area. Also, I do not own the land on the other side of the stream. Occasionally, the owners of that land will spend a weekend afternoon enjoying the waterfall view also. Still much quieter and more private than a regular campground. Glamping tents and additional camping tents are available through a local company. Look in the pictures for the tent with red, white, and blue balloons. Message me for details. Close to US National Whitewater Center (mountain biking, whitewater rafting, kayaking), Kings Mountain National Military Park (Horseback riding and history), Crowders Mountain (Hiking), 3 miles off of I-85 and US-321 for people passing through.

We are not responsible for acts of nature. The barn is beautiful and you are welcome to take photos, however, you are NOT permitted in the barn without supervision. Absolutley NO smoking or fire near the barn. It is over 100 years old and built by my great grand family and is irreplaceable. SPECIAL FEATURE: As I am just beginning the camp on site experience I offer several options and additional services. #1. Some find out after arriving that I teach NC Concealed Carry Handgun Classes. If you wish to participate in a class, it is preferred that you register before the day of the class. I will post classes on this site so that campers will know there will be shooting in the late afternoon. Some chose to camp on other weekends, some choose to go out to eat during those times, and some don't mind either way. #2. I am also much in favor of work for camp site. Some have asked to do clean up or other small jobs for the priviledge to camp. So far this has worked out well, with one exception. Please do not accept an offer to take on a task that you do not know how to do. Example, pulling weeds or trimming if you do not know what a weed verses flower looks like. LOL #3. There is plenty of firewood, see photos, here laying around and some trees down that will make great firewood (bring your own cutting tools.) We also sell firewood by the bundle. #4. Being a camper here gives you the privilege of fresh veggies and fruits that are in season, as well as fresh free range eggs. MAJOR POINT: You must remember this is a working farm and our duties and responsibilities for the farm come first. You must abide by the boundaries. *see map* The creek is the back boundary and should never be crossed onto my neighbors. I will not tolerate any disrespect to my neighbors, what so ever. No! the roosters don't have an off button, neither does the jacka... donkey! When it is hay cutting time, we will cut hay. If you want to hike the property, feel free, know the boundaries and bring a machete to cut your way by the creek/stream in some areas. We have thistle trees and briars, you are welcome to cut all you wish as you go. There are spiders, bugs, and snakes etc. Black snakes, king snakes, runners, and whip snakes belong here and we ask that you do not kill them. Copperheads are here as qell and if you see one, come get me and I will dispatch it for you. .

Had a quick 1 night stay, last minute trip. Had a quick response to accept our reservation. Site 4 was perfect, easy to access, power and water on site. Great for our Sylvan GO popup. Roy greeted us on arrival and showed us around. He brought a nice size stack of firewood. He also borrowed us a 30A -> 110 adapter so we could plug an extension cord in. We enjoyed the visit in the morning from the donkey and cows. Beautiful property, great hosts, we'll stop back next year.

We loved the camping spot. It was beautiful and peaceful. The meet and greet from the host was fantastic. We really loved visiting the old tobacco barn and walking the trails through the woods.

Our campsite was the only one in the open. It was to the left of the house. along the tree line. We had access to well water and were hooked up to 30 amp power.

My boyfriend and I camped here for a night before we went climbing at pilot mountain! The camping spot is only about 20 minutes away from the mountain which made for a great morning! The sound of the river at night was very peaceful and the fire pit was a very nice touch! We were visited by cows throughout our visit. Cow number 22 was especially friendly and we became good friends! Plan on coming back to this camp site and would recommend it to a friend:)

Dope people. Quiet but nice and pleasant. No qualms with me staying multiple nights back to back and reserving every night individually. Good tips about farming when I asked and they sold me some nice homemade apple jam from a local neighbor. They have a whole fridge full of homemade meat from their farm! All in all nice. Also the farm is beautiful and the camp spot was truly very nice. Multiple places to put a tent. Super boxed in by trees which helped with cold weather. Camp fire pit. Chairs and a table. Big bad ass pond right there with a love seat. All in all a good stay. Thanks guys!

We enjoyed the weekend so much! Stayed in #3 in a 30 ft travel trailer. Very comfortable! Enough room to spread out! Best thing in the world… Campfire! What a gift to have wood stacked! Be aware there are animals, therefore, barking, and rooster crowing. When we drove up, I heard the barking and I thought oh dear… but it stopped. And then when I would hear it over the weekend, it didn’t even phase me! You also have a road in front of you screened by some trees; there is some road noise, not much on the weekend. We found it did not bother us due to how comfortable we were in the space. Felt very safe and appreciated the friendly hosts! They checked on us just to see if we needed anything. #2 is right beside us, we were blessed to meet a fantastic couple! Sat around the campfire together, two nights in a row! You just never know where you’re gonna meet new friends! We will be returning for sure!
