Come enjoy the beautiful landscape of the western mountains in Ashe County, NC on ninety acres of farmland and forest surrounded by mountain peaks, the New River and breathtaking sunsets. On the drive in, to the southeast you can see Peak Mountain for which the property was named. The mountain is part of the New River State Park and is known for its scenic river views and hiking trails. Two RV buddy campsites are available on the property. Campsite #1 was originally created for our personal use. Campsite #2, so our fellow camping buddies could join us. Although a short drive from our homes, the serenity of the property always makes us feel as if we’ve travelled many miles. Campsites are laid out in an ‘L’ shape which creates the perfect group camping experience. Guests can choose to camp alone or invite others. Campsite 1 and 2 are reserved together as one booking due to the close proximity of the sites. The property is secluded, but easily accessible. Campsites are full hookups which include water, sewer and 50 amp electric. Both sites can accommodate any size RV. They are gravel and level which makes getting set up easy. A 30 x 30 shelter with concrete floor, lights, picnic tables and trash bin is nearby, which is a great asset in any weather. A fire pit and chairs are a nice addition for evening enjoyment. Firewood is provided. WiFi is available. The area is pet friendly. Pets can be off leash, however, you might consider leashing your pet, as wildlife is frequently seen. If your furry friend is anything like our dogs, the chase is on when a deer, squirrel or turkey makes a sudden appearance! During your stay, take a 7/10 mile walk down to the New River. Pull up one of the chairs on the small covered deck overlooking the river, sit back and take in the sounds of the calming waters. Watch floaters, kayakers and canoe navigators pass by or enjoy your own floating, fishing and swimming. On the other side of the river is part of the New River State Park. A 15 minute drive will take you to downtown West Jefferson for restaurants and shopping. Visit the Ashe County Chamber of Commerce online or downtown for information on our county’s many attractions and events.

While HWY 16 can be a bit noisy during busy times, step into the campsites and let the peaceful noise-canceling river serenity whisk you away. Forest views across the river with endless fireflies and stars that light up the night! Zaloo's Canoes, Kayak, and Tubes is within eyesight and will set you up with an amazing float or paddle down river. Plentiful small mouth bass and trout fishing just steps from your site. Outhouse w/washing station. Fire pits at each site as well as a large communal fire pit and picnic tables. Downtown West Jefferson is just 15 minutes away with local breweries, quaint restaurants, coffee shops, bakeries, shopping, music, art, and a wonderful farmer's market from May - October. The quaint little town of Lansing, NC is quickly becoming a favorite stop of mine. Check out the Old Orchard Creek General Store, Pie on the Mountain Pizza, the Old Orchard Creek Blueberry Farm, and Molly Chomper for a perfect day in Ashe County. The New River State Park is an easy walk, float, paddle or drive away. This park is absolutely GORGEOUS and impeccably maintained, including hiking trails, public facilities, showers, boat launch and pick up, etc. Just a short drive to multiple Blue Ridge Parkway entry points for ease of access to Boone, Appalachian State University, Blowing Rock, Grandfather Mountain, Banner Elk, and the Linville Gorge. Mount Jefferson and Grayson Highlands are also just a short drive away for unlimited hiking and incredible mountain views. My personal favorite is hiking with the wild ponies at Grayson Highlands! We have Firewood available for a nominal fee. Just let us know and we will make arrangements to have it ready for you upon arrival. Please respect quiet hours between 10 PM and 8 AM each evening.

Campers who are willing to walk up a somewhat steep him can tent camp in the beautiful hilltop tent camping site which is located in a grove of pine trees. This is a new Hip Camp listing and sites are privative for now. Enjoy unplugging as you camp because there is No Cell Phone reception here. There is WIFI at the neighborhood restaurant, Hellbender's Café just 4 minutes away (typically open from 11-5pm) during the warmer months. While there is no electricity (or hookups for RVs), there are very few street lights in the area which makes for amazing stargazing. The only source of water is from a temperate stream that runs along the back side of the property for those campers who are comfortable boiling or treating their water. The property is 5.3 acres total, part of it is open former pasture land and over 1/2 of the property is forest. There is a wooden hill top area that is great for tent campers. The back side of the property is steep in some places, but it can be fun for those who want to hike and explore the mountainside.

Redeemers Ridge Retreat is our 47 acre property in the Blue Ridge Mountains set apart for the intent of encouraging traditionally married couples and single non couples age 25 and older to rest, renew, and reconnect with God and each other in the beauty of nature. TO ENSURE WE CAN PROVIDE ALL OUR GUESTS THE BEST EXPERIENCE POSSIBLE, we require all those interested in booking to first read our guest guidelines (rules). For the peace of mind of our community members and guests we do require Driver License ID for each guest after booking. Returning to nature isn't just enjoyable; it's also beneficial. In addition to using this land as our camping/fishing get-a-way, it is also used for hay! Our 5th generation farm and home are just a few miles away, where we raise sheep, cattle, goats and chickens. Learn more about this land:Spend the night along the river in a 14 acre field. We have a picnic table, fire pit and grill in place! This site is easily accessible and along a road. The Appalachian Trail and Virginia Creeper Trail are a few miles away in Damascus, Va, where you can bike, hike, shop or eat. Just a 45 minute drive away is Grayson Highlands, where you can hike and see the wild ponies! Abingdon, VA is 20 minutes away. Hang out around a fire, fish (if you have your fishing license), or just relax by the river! We are excited to share our favorite camping spot. Linda and John are so kind and absolutely amazing hosts. Beautiful property with unbelievable views, including sunrises, sunsets, and an abundance of wildlife. We saw deer, wild turkey, rabbits and a variety of bird species each day. You may never want to stay at a regular campground again. Level rv sites with full hookups including cool spring water. Great walking trails throughout the entire property. The land , including rv sites, are meticulously maintained with love and a lot of hard work. Full signal with Tmobile. We highly recommend this property however, we can't tell you much about what to do around the area, because the rv site was so beautiful and relaxing, we didn't want to leave.

We love staying at Corner Pine. We can pull our camper right up to the deck. We cook and enjoy hanging out. We were given firewood and some snacks for us and our pup. The surrounding area is great, whether you are looking to hike or enjoy the views. The bathrooms are always clean! We will be back.

We had a wonderful weekend stay at this beautiful location! The host was incredibly kind, and the land itself is stunning. The river is nearby and easily accessible, making it perfect for outdoor activities. One of the highlights was watching a spectacular lightning bug show at night; there were so many, and my 7-year-old was especially excited about it! If you're looking for a great place to stay, I highly recommend this spot—don't hesitate to book here!

The view here is absolutely spectacular and definitely worth the trip—we drove six hours and weren’t disappointed. The campsites are a bit closer together than expected, so your experience can really depend on who your neighbors are. If you’ve got considerate folks nearby, it’s great; otherwise, it could take away from the overall vibe. The biggest downside for me was the large cross that stays lit all night. It was pretty bright and made it difficult to sleep soundly. Aside from that, though, this is a beautiful spot and still well worth the visit.

From the second we turned onto the long driveway entrance to Peak a View, we knew our stay would far and away exceed our expectations. We were greeted by Steve & Penny who gave us a brief description of the land along with helpful local information. They could not have been nicer. The site offers multiple level options for your RV, all with views of the mountains, woods, and open meadows (frequently visited by local wildlife). The electric, water & sewer hookups were effortless. The fire pit and large covered patio was perfect. The wide open skies offer amazing star gazing. We knew that the hipcamp offered access to a river, little did we know how absolutely amazing this private section of the South Fork of the New River would be. The peace, beauty and tranquility along with the calming sounds of the water will never be forgotten. We can’t thank Steve & Penny enough for sharing their amazing land in the North Carolina mountains. We can't wait to go back!
