Weekend Trip to Mountain Creek Rest

I have booked Hipcamps that cost twice as much and not half as nice. We absolutely loved our stay at the Island Site. Brian has put so much time and love into these camp sites. We will definitely be back. When we camped in early May, no issues with mosquitos, but bring some repellant as it gets warmer would be safe. Bring some dry kindling for your fire. This is a very tropical area, so everything on the ground is always a bit moist. If your tent requires stakes, bring some line so you can stake off of the level platform.

Weekend Trip to Honeysuckle Springs Smoky Mountains

We absolutely loved tent-camping here for the weekend! Large space for our family of 5. Beautiful views, quiet and peaceful. Facilities were clean and easily accessible. Super close to many trail and hiking options in the Smokies. We loved hearing the many sounds of nature as we fell asleep. Host was very kind and helpful. Would definitely return and camp here in the future!

Weekend Trip to Winding Stair Campground

The campground is gorgeous! Our site (the glass house site) was close to the bath house which made it very convenient. The bath house is immaculately clean and well stocked with essentials for guests to use. We took advantage of the little store to pick up firewood, ice, and a couple of refreshments. They also have complimentary coffee and tea at the store. They really thought of everything. The pavilion is beautiful and my little one had a great time playing by the creek. We also loved the free ranging guineas roaming the property. We had a wonderful time and would love to come back!

2 nights at Mountain Creek Rest

Brian has created a beautiful oasis in the middle of the wild NC mountains! The Islandsite is surrounded by rushing mountain streams on either side. It hit the sweet spot of feeling both safe and private. And Brian hit the perfect balance of being welcoming and informative while also giving you space and privacy. My dog LOVED being able to wander the island off-leash and I loved hearing the roar of the water instead of the roar of engines chasing the Dragon nearby. The hiking was gorgeous, the bathroom clever and clean, and there are sweet little treasures (both man and nature made) to be found on the island. DO put Cedar Cove Church in your GPS and follow Brian's excellent directions from there, otherwise you will end up on Dirk (?) something road which is VERY sketching but doable. Smokey and I both thank you Brian for a wonderful time!

This is our 2nd visit to Winding Stair. We enjoyed the Group Site, Pavilion and Bathhouse so much, we brought some new friends! Great location close to hiking trails and Franklin. Also visited Winding Stair’s Nursery in Franklin. One of the best, if not the best, campground we have visited.

1 night at Canopy Ridge Safari Tent

We absolutely loved this place. I have never been cozier or felt more luxurious while camping. This place is a delight and everything was laid out and provided so thoughtfully. Everything was easy and fantastic! I don’t know if I’ve ever slept on a comfier bed. We loved this so much we are now considering doing something like this for a honeymoon.

What a great campsite, it’s pretty much perfect! We will definitely be back; I was happy because we saw NO other people, my husband was happy bc he didn’t have to bury his poop lol (he likes an outhouse), and the dog absolutely loved running around in all the streams. Weekend Trip to Mountain Creek Rest

I loved staying at the Diamondstone!! I am a returning guest on Brian’s property and my stay was amazing as always. The cabin was so lovely, cozy and well built. The site was very well maintained and peaceful. I love love love the creek that runs behind the cabin. It’s a natural white noise. Directions to the site were very clear and Brian was responsive and helpful. The check out instructions were clear too and Brian provided all supplies needed to keep the cabin clean for the next guest. I will definitely be back.

We loved staying in Liz’s land, we were joined by another family with kids and had the most magical experience. Liz is a warm, thoughtful and amazing host. We booked the Yurts and they were pristine, comfortable and had basic needs for our trip. The gym was a nice bonus for everyone to have fun. Can’t say enough good things about our stay! We would love to come back !

2 nights at GlampKnox Canvas Campground

Tree Solo was amazing! Extremely clean and comfortable. The tent felt really private and like our own personal escape. We would stay there again any time! The hosts were very helpful and we had everything we needed!!

2 nights at Winding Stair Campground

This is our second stay here and as always we had a blast. River and farm is gorgeous. Bath house is very clean and I love their soap. All the animals are well cared for and on fresh grass. *Be aware that the River House building does have BLACK MOLD everywhere for those of you that are allergic.* it’s in every part of this building structure. If this is an issue, there are other sites and buildings that appeared to be mold free.

This was the perfect glamping experience. Cozy bedding, impeccable tent, and perfectly clean. We stayed in tent 1 and could not have been happier with all of our accomodations, the king bed was so comfortable, one of the best nights of sleep ever. Even during a major thunderstorm everything was cozy and dry. Highly recommend staying here anytime, can't wait till we come back again!

We had a great stay at the Shaded Creekside Campsite. There were several other campers present while we were there but we still had plenty of privacy and room. The directions to the property were easy to follow and hosts were responsive and welcoming. Would recommend if you are in the area and looking for somewhere to pitch a tent!

Your Toccoa River Cove!

The Cove consists of 12 acres with a tributary stream and spring fed ponds less than a half mile from the Toccoa River. It was originally the water source for the surrounding properties prior to the city installing a water system. It is completely private and unspoiled nature, with about a mile of walking trails throughout. The Mountaintop is a 3 acre high elevation site bordering 140 acres of undisturbed woods and is also very close to the Toccoa River. Fantastic location yet very private for base camp to access the many activities in this area, or enjoy the Toccoa River. It is the only campground in Fannin County limited to only one group at a time. Each site includes 2 access points to the Toccoa River. The Gibbs Drive community river access lot has a charcoal grill, picnic table, boat launch, swimming rock and fire pit with chairs. The Toccoa River Forest community river access lot has a big boat ramp. The river is controlled flow and usually at low water from dawn to about 2 pm, ideal for fishing or swimming/wading/boulder bopping. The River release schedule is available online at the website TVA.gov. The River has swift current when the dam is opened for release, usually daily. This property is conveniently located in Mineral Bluff, Georgia 30559, just 4 miles off the 4-lane highway (Highway 515/76) and just a short drive to Blue Ridge, Georgia; Blairsville, Georgia; Murphy, North Carolina, McCaysville, Georgia and Copper Hill, Tennessee. It is a paved road drive all the way to the entrance. It is located just a few miles from the center of downtown Blue Ridge with art galleries, many restaurants, brew pubs, shopping, the Blue Ridge Brewing Company, Mercier Orchard, the Blue Ridge Scenic Railroad, and more! Here at Treehouse Mountain, our goal is to provide everything that we would want if we were to travel to other rentals. During your stay, you can find that we are readily available if there's anything we can help out with or want help planning your trip to the area as well. The bathhouse is a shared facility between three of the treehouses. It features two showers and two bathrooms (all separate rooms) and is fully climate controlled (warm in winter, cool in summer). It is cleaned daily, sometimes multiple times a day depending on usage. In the shower rooms, guests can find shampoo, conditioner, and body soap available for their use. In the bathrooms, there is toilet paper, hand soap, hand sanitizer, and hair dryers available as well. The treehouses have been furnished with you in mind. All linens are provided (all bedding, kitchen towels, bath towels, etc) and additional linens are available upon request. Each treehouse has a kitchenette area, complete with sink, drip-pot coffee maker (coffee, creamer, sugar provided), toaster, microwave, and half-size refrigerator. There are additional items such as a rice cooker, water kettle, and some snack items provided as well. They each also have a Blackstone Griddle for cooking in an outdoor cooking area. There is a parking area for guests' cars. The paths on property are well-lit, so there's no need to worry if you arrive in the evening. The owners live on property and are readily available to help during check in and check out if needed. Each treehouse has a private fire-pit with firewood and fire starter provided. Our treehouses are dog friendly with no additional fee.
