And when the full moon is over the pond it is an amazing sight. You can relax here by the pond or venture out to explore historic down town New Bern ,or head the the beach located in Morehead, Swansboro, and the surrounding areas. Check the local Restaurants and the local shops as well. Throughout the year we are surrounded by many different festivals as well. You can listen to the crickets and the birds chirping, and watch the squirrel as they jump and run from tree to tree.we are close to the beaches and are in close proximity of the national Forrest as well. And there are quite a few golf courses near to us as well. We are a work in progress and would be considered primitive Campground. We loved tent camping. Great amount of room. Great fire ring, more than enough firewood. Clean and well kept. Just a text away if you need anything. Wifi not available to all spots, they did say they are working on getting power and internet to all sites. The restroom and shower also clean. We will be going back.

My friends and I, 9 total, camped here for two nights and had the best time! The bathroom was nice, the picnic table and trash can were well kept and set up for us, and the neighboring sites weren’t close enough to be an issue. Would definitely come back!

My husband and I had a great 6 day stay on this property. It's in a quiet area but very close to swansboro, cape carteret, emerald isle, and the surrounding areas. All hookups were in great working order and we loved the wifi. The deck area was a nice touch. We hope to stay here again in the future.

I loved tent camping on Megan’s homestead! Even though it rained the whole night, my pup and I felt very warm and safe tucked in their wooded trees. So thankful for access to an indoor sink and toilet! The farm animals are adorable and fun, and the whole family was very welcoming and hospitable! ☀️ Americas finest!

2 nights at The Homestead At Little Creek

We had such a good stay on Megan’s land. We tent camped with our 2 year old for 2 nights and he absolutely loved seeing the animals and playing by the creek. We didn’t make it for him to feed the animals but there is so many to see, kids would absolutely love this experience. The whole family was so helpful and friendly. Just the right amount of privacy. We have nothing bad to say and would absolutely stay with them again!

1 night at Oak Grove Retreat

My first night solo camping and I couldn't have picked a better spot! I camped in the forest behind the church and it's beautiful and peaceful. Composting toilets (and an outdoor shower) are just a short walk away. Kevin was friendly and very helpful. I'll definitely stay again when I'm in the area.

Oak Grove Retreat is truly a special place!!! I feel a profound sense of happiness and tranquility when I am there. The hosts consistently provide friendly service and create a welcoming atmosphere. Weekend Trip to Almost There!

The campsite was well maintained. The deck was a great addition to the site and we enjoyed sitting out on it in the evenings. I would definitely recommend this spot for someone looking for a place close to Emerald Isle.

Nice quiet area. Well maintained spot with newer hookups. We enjoyed our time there! Great water pressure ! The nearby waterfront town was very nice, very walkable! Logan is a great host , communication was easy breezy.

My experiences are very enjoyable here. I would recommend it to everybody and anybody prices do vary though through summer and winter 19 in the winter time and 29 in the summer spring I don’t know about fall yet, but let me tell you it is the most amazing spot.

LOGAN, is a really nice guy! The property was clean, quiet and had everything we needed. Upon arrival Logan offered to help us setup, very accommodating. We enjoyed the peace and quiet so much we rebooked. Thank you Logan for having us!
