This is a completely fenced-in, gated lot with water, sewer, and power. It’s very close to UNCW, Wrightsville Beach, Carolina Beach, the Atlantic Ocean, shopping, and more. The lot features a cement pad, is fully gated, dog/pet-friendly, and partially shaded. Surfing, fishing, beach outings, and dining are all nearby — yet you still have total privacy. There is a live oak with lights hanging over the fence from an adjacent Airbnb (an 8' privacy fence separates the properties). The lights turn on for a few hours each night. The gate can be easily closed for total privacy or to let a pet run around. Other things to note: Park By The Sea offers secluded, in-town camping that feels private while still close to all amenities. The lot is flat, enclosed, and tree-lined with 6–8' privacy fencing all around. You’re in town, close to restaurants and shopping, but still completely private. A rolling gate allows pets to roam freely, though we ask that dogs be kept from excessive barking. Walking and bike trails are nearby, and the lot is very close to UNCW. This is a pack-in/pack-out site — please take your trash with you, as we do not have onsite trash facilities or housekeeping. We provide onsite 30-amp electrical and a 15-amp outlet. There is a sewer dump and potable water under the rock. You may park on the cement, gravel, or grass — whichever you prefer — but the electrical hookup is located next to the cement pad.

The location is great to be secluded and so close to everything. The host is very helpful. If you’re lucky, you may spot the white rabbit! My son loved it.

Weekend Trip to Pine forest, 5 minutes to the beach

This was my first ever experience with a Hipcamp and was very pleased with the experience. The pictures of this location really do not do it justice and I will upload my own to hopefully give a better, more current images of the location. The host has definitely taken the time and effort to make their 7 sites presentable and hospitable for Hipcampers. Sites are clean, clearly marked and a fresh layer of chipped mulch has been laid throughout the sites. The compost toilet is built in a nice privacy area and is clean (didn't use it). My only negatives was that it was a little difficult to get into. I DO NOT BLAME the host for this, but the Hipcamp app's directions had me trying to enter the site through the adjacent neighborhood just before the host's property instead of off of US 421 just before the traffic light. Just be sure if you go here that you enter from the highway and not the neighborhood. The other adjacent property has been cleared out for development (again, not the host's fault) but if you're looking for a secluded hideaway that might not be the case for much longer due to progress. Those are just minor nitpicks to me though, neither of which again blame the hosts for. All in all if you are looking to visit Carolina Beach/Cure Beach/Fort Fisher/Wilmington this would be a good choice for anyone looking for a little solitude away from the busy commercial alternatives. I was happy with my first Hipcamp and would happily come here again!

There was access to water and plenty of space for 1 group. Additionally, the land was very close to the beach and stores which was nice. Very clean area and would highly recommend to stay!
