This is a secluded, standalone, pull-through camping spot for all types of RVs. It is a nice, level, gravel lot off of a private gravel road. We have all utilities available: well water, 50A power, and a septic dump-station (please be mindful to not dump chemicals/cleaners). In the daytime, the near-by gun range can be heard in the distance. At night, after 10PM or so, the neighborhood is typically quiet. Our neighbors have dogs, cattle, and chickens/roosters and occasionally shoot guns during daylight hours (one neighbor is a sporting club with skeet shooting and hunting dogs) but typically our farm is a quiet and peaceful place. We mow regularly and our rooster and chicken ladies wander far and wide eating bugs but, in the summer, they can't get every mosquito and tick so please plan accordingly for your own comfort.

While we are happy to be a late-night crash spot for after shows at the Haw River Ballroom, we hope you stay a minute to walk the fields, hang in the hammocks, sit by the pond, or take a swing from the branches of our 200 year old White Oak tree. Weekend Trip to The Pint Sized Pasture

Tent camping at The Pint Sized Pasture was a unique experience. We liked being able to take our dog off leash. We also really enjoyed the animals on the farm. A staff member brought out a few of the bunnies for us to hold and love on which was special. Walking around and getting close encounters with emu, alpacas and even Moses the Camel and a micro calf was special too. My kids loved the swings, giant sandbox and rolling barrel/track. There was a lot for them to do!

I would say my review is somewhere between great and OK. What was great was that the bus was fun and funky, sweet and well-designed, and clean. The kitchen was laid out to have good working and eating space for 2. The shower was very nice. The composting toilet was clean and easy to use. We especially loved the view out of the passenger side of the bus -- great little firepit/chairs, and beautiful woods. We were surprised when we walked down to the stream to find HUGE rock formations and boulders and we had a blast playing on those. The "okay" part is that the property on the other side of the bus is a bit shabby. Once you get there, you can totally ignore that, but when you drive in it doesn't look as inviting as it really is.

Great view of the lake, hearing the ducks early morning and throughout the day, my wife started feeding them before we even finished getting set up! We spent our 40th anniversary here last week and we were welcomed with balloons and a congratulations card left on our car windshield, that alone touched our hearts. We’ll definitely be going back here again!

This is the campsite by the Pond/Stage. When driving in, you'll turn right down towards the pond. Pull off to the left in front of the stage before crossing the dam. Campsite is in front and to the left of the stage.

We loved our stay with our two kids + dog in the Moonshine at Sugarneck. We only wish we could have stayed longer! It was even lovelier than we expected. It was comfortable and well-equipped and the property was beautiful.
