We have sheep, pigs and a donkey rotating through pastures behind electric fencing. Take a walk to say hello, don't touch the fence! We also have 3 very friendly farm cats.
Pork and lamb from our farm (as well as kiln-dried firewood) is available for purchase at our farm store.

I know the area was inhabited by native Americans many decades ago. I have found a few broken arrow heads over the years. The farm is beautiful and quiet. My farm had been untouched for years and only used as hay farming. It is rolling hills known by the locals as "Butterfly Hill" Which the farm is home to many species of butterflies in the summer. I know the area was inhabited by native Americans many decades ago. I have found a few broken arrow heads over the years. The farm is beautiful and quiet. I have a beautiful hiking trail around the property for you to take your fur babies on. The cabin is right on a beautiful stream too. There are several state parks nearby and river tubing within 10 -30 minutes. Hot showers and potable water just a few feet away.

Our farm is a beautiful, private 25 acres with an 1830s house, outbuildings, animals, orchards, gardens, pastures, old trees, wildlife habitat, a spring, and woods. We mow regularly and our rooster and chicken ladies wander far and wide eating bugs but, in the summer, they can't get every mosquito and tick so please plan accordingly for your own comfort.

We had a great stay in this little cabin. The farm is charming and beautiful… so if you need to get away from the city, this is a great option. The cabin is nice and rustic, and we greatly enjoyed using the wood stove. The hosts are attentive and responsive. Great place to stay with kids.

Our hosts were fantastic and supplied every possible convenience for us. As mentioned before, Jack the donkey is very friendly, and the stars at night are fantastic. The cabin is facing the rising sun, so be prepared for a lovely sunrise as well. :). We were looking for a "Little House on the Prairie" experience and this cabin didn't disappoint . The downtown is cute and the museum has hands-on things for kiddos. My kids are already asking to come back!

I really enjoyed being at Paul’s. His property is pristine. It’s beautiful, quiet, and secluded. Paul himself is generous and great company! I was only looking for a layover spot but after my stay this will definitely be one of my future stops. Paul even gave a tour of his own home; an old church he restored himself. 12/10 stay!

3 nights at Golden Spot
The campsite was in a lovely wooded area not too close to the house ( which is actually an old church that Paul converted into a home). Only a few minutes from historic Gold Hill.
Paul, our host was really friendly. Greeted us when we arrived and gave us local eatery tips. His dogs were friendly too! If we come back to the area, we'll definitely stay here again.
