Weekend Trip to Hippie Havens: A Groovy Retreat
I would recommend this place to all my friends!
The cabin itself was perfect for a weekend getaway having all the essentials needed and some nice extras like the hot tub and sauna. The area was incredibly beautiful and close to a cute little town. Despite some travel issues, we were met with kindness and flexibility, which show how amazing they were at hosting! We also got some very good local recommendations :) we’ll definitely be back!

The campsite is so great for our needs: 3 good sized tents for our families to camp together. They're close enough that the little kids can safely run between them and around the common area but not so close it's noisy for each other. The grills, fire pits, dishwashing stations and toilet/shower amenities are clean, useful, well-maintained and appreciated. As were the badminton net and swings! Loved our second annual trip here.

We such a groovy time at Hippies Haven. The hosts thought of every detail to make our stay special. Loved the hot tub and listening to records while sitting by the fire. The heater keep the room nice and toasty. View is spectacular and it was so sweet to wake up to a deer family grazing in the yard.

We had a great experience at Hippie Havens! The hosts were very communicative and helpful throughout our stay, and we felt completely at home the entire time. The space was peaceful, cozy, and full of charm; the perfect getaway if you’re looking to unwind and enjoy some quiet. Highly recommend for anyone who wants a relaxing escape surrounded by nature.

We’ve stayed here twice now with our dogs and had an absolute blast both times. We loved it so much that we came back within a month, and we’re already bummed we won’t get to return until next season. Every extra is worth it - the sauna is incredible, the hot tub with the TV is a huge hit, and adding the Nintendo Switch and projector makes for such a fun movie night on the porch. The food is all delicious and clearly made with care.
You can tell a lot of thought went into every detail. There are fun little things to read and listen to, and it feels peaceful and private once the sun goes down. The big windows give you a perfect view of the stars at night and the sunrise in the morning.
Shaggy really goes above and beyond. We’ve stayed in tons of places over the years, and this is easily one of our top three favorites. Don’t wait, book it and have a great time.

We loved our stay at the Hippie Haven for my birthday weekend getaway. Everything was explained prior to our arrival and set up when we arrived. Our hosts, Shaggy and Kendra, made themselves available throughout the trip, ensuring we had everything we needed for a peaceful weekend. We utilized the hot tub and projector - and both were left with easy to use instructions. Everything inside the haven was left for us to access with ease. The space they provided was clean, fresh, and cozy!

Everything at Hippie Haven was perfectly curated. Shaggy and Kendra have put a love of love and creativity into their land, and have the clear intention of giving you the utmost comfort, relaxation, and fun on your stay there. Their land is secluded and feels safe, and walking the property at night to visit different amenities (hot tub, sauna) was easy and carefree. The cabin itself was C L E A N and well taken care of. Every detail was looked after, down to clean robes, fresh linens and towels, and even the drink and cookware provided was immaculate and organized. We wanted for absolutely nothing as Shaggy had set everything we needed in place prior to our arrival, and he still was highly communicative and insistent we could reach out for absolutely anything. We opted for the hot tub, sauna, polaroid camera, and firewood add-on. Everything we added made the stay even more magical. My partner and I agreed it was the best air bnb/hipcamp/hotel either of us have EVER stayed in. We’re huge hippies ourselves and it was great to stay in a place that offered a carefree getaway that was also eco conscious, and decorated with care. We enjoyed a fire on the patio each night while listening to just a few of the records Shaggy has to offer - including rolling stones, led zeppelin, neil young, and more. They’re close to a few shops and restaurants as well, but they provide all the tools needed to make a few meals while you’re there. We love Hippie Haven and can’t wait to come back!!

I spent two days here this weekend.
I arrived a little late on Friday.
Cindy's preparation was perfect. I didn't have to do anything else. Also, Cindy explained everything kindly, and even I, who spoke English badly, could easily understand it.
I would like to thank Cindy.
The weather was perfect, and the sound of grass bugs at night was also nice. Cleanly maintained facilities made camping even more enjoyable. I'll visit you again next time.

2 nights at Hippie Havens: A Groovy Retreat
What an amazing experience! Shaggy's Cosmic Cabin is filled with wonderful decor and surprises at every turn. All the amenities you could need are provided and usually with a fun and colorful twist, from tie dye towels and wash cloths to fun shaped dishes, coffee mugs and silverware . There were comfortable robes, to fit all sizes, which makes the tiny walk to the blissful hot tub no issue at all. The make-your-own waffles are both delicious and adorable, with fabulous homemade toppings to cover every possible taste bud craving. My husband and I had a blast browsing the extensive record collection and playing some of our favs while making our dinner or while chilling on the deck in the morning sunshine, while drinking the delicious coffee and tea selections provided, of course! I highly recommend you splurge on the projector rental, as the screen was easy to set up and the projector was simple to use, outside or even inside on the ceiling! Shaggy himself is total sweetie, he explained everything clearly, had fabulous dining and local attraction recommendations, (the Woodstock museum at Bethel Woods was incredible!) and was happy to share his doggie, Taj, with us whenever we needed a soft and sweet canine companion. I highly recommend this Cosmic Cabin! And don't let the composting toilet scare you, it is totally easy to use and the little "nitelights" inside are adorable, lol. Shaggy and Kendra have totally perfected the "glamping" experience!

Group trip
We did a special girls trip for my friend’s birthday who recently lost her husband. We absolutely loved everything about staying at Hippie Haven! From movie night outside, the campfire, trampoline, hammocks, nature walk, hot tub, barbecuing and making s’mores, we enjoyed it all! We had so much fun! Cooking outside was also easy and convenient and the bathroom and shower were so clean! It was such a relaxing, tranquil, fun experience and we were able to make wonderful memories there. I definitely recommend this stay and give it 5 stars! Shaggy, you’re the best and thank you and Kendra for your kindness and hospitality! Kendra and Shaggy were super great hosts and Hippie Haven was such a fun Hipcamp. The camp was clean and well-stocked, everything we could have asked for. We really appreciated everything the hosts provided to make our stay comfortable, while still being outdoorsy enough for us. The camp is close to plenty of outdoor activities as well as some really cute towns, so many options.
We loved the decor and availability of hammocks, coffee, tea, towels, speakers, hot tub, etc. Everything was well communicated from the beginning, and Kendra and Shaggy were available for whatever we needed during our stay. The photos and description are all accurate. Great place, we are planning on making a return visit some day.

me and partner absolutely loved our stay at Shaggy and Kendra’s Cosmic Cabin! ✨ Every little detail was so thoughtfully put together, making the space feel both magical and intentional. Nestled in nature’s beauty, the cabin was the perfect escape—peaceful, cozy, and full of charm. Our hosts went above and beyond, giving us all the info and everything we needed to truly enjoy our stay. Sauna was sooo hottt and relaxing! It was everything we could’ve hoped for and more—an awesome anniversary getaway from our busy lives of Brooklyn. 10/10 would recommend to all of our friends and will be looking forward to our next stay!!

1 night at Hippie Havens: A Groovy Retreat
Hippie Havens is a MUST hipcamp adventure! This one blew me away. From the thoughtful details, to the privacy and open skies, to the amenities that you don't always find with other HipCamps . . . this one quickly skyrocketed to the top of my favorites list and I will definitely be back!
Shower? Toilet? Grille for cooking? Firepit? Comfortable bed? Cooking essentials? Fun things to do? Hippie Havens has it all and more. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone whose looking to get away but also have the luxuries of home. The Woodstock theme is so much fun and there are so many things to do including games, books, records to play, a projector to use, etc.
Shaggy and Kendra were so lovely not only as HipCamp hosts but as genuinely good people who care about their community as well as their guests. The town of Narrowsburg thats only 15 minutes away is also a true paradise and definitely a must see!!
I plan to return as much as I can!
