Nice location - if you love trains you will be delighted. Honestly, they come by quite often but they do not blow their whistles hardly at all so it’s not that loud. I can definitely sleep through them. Since it rained every day I ended up sleeping in my van. There is a place to hike along the river along the closed portion of River Rd. It’s also close to the Erie Canal Lock 17 and the historic ruins of an older lock.

3 nights at Greyrock Farm

I had a peaceful stay at Greyrock Farm. There were turkeys whose eggs were about to hatch and lots of rolling green vistas. Jennifer is very nice and accommodating. The spot is close to the city of Syracuse yet worlds away in the beautiful Lakes area. Would stay again!
