Not suitable for parties or loud groups. For generations, the majestic waterfall has been revered for its spectacular beauty. It’s considered a sacred site central to local land rematriation work with the Kanienkeha:ka. Coursing between two outcroppings in a deep ravine, the waterfall crashes down over mossy rock shelves into emerald swimming holes and through dramatic clay beds. It’s one of those extraordinarily beautiful spots on earth that make you feel like you are in another world. It's about a 10 minute hike to the waterfall where you can spend the day swimming, exploring the clay beds and looking for fossils in the 280 million year old gorge. In the evening, make a campfire and fall asleep under the stars listening to the river below. The hike is steep and appropriate footwear is required. All hiking is at your own risk. Although your path to the waterfall is private and the waterfall is on private property, there may be other guests or locals that access the waterfall further down the road. There is no glass or alcohol allowed at the falls. Be aware that you may hear your camping neighbors in the woods. Of course you are welcome to stay put! Sit, read, meditate, sleep, do yoga or other mind/body practices on our open-air yoga platform, Nandi Yoga Pavilion. It was a cinderblock extension of the cow barn. We took it down and used the foundation for the pavilion.

The Heldebergs are one of the oldest mountain ranges on earth, these mountains have been worn down to 2000 feet over time. Native Americans lived in the area many years ago and we are quite sure this was Native American sacred ceremony land. Hiking, canoeing, swimming and fishing (catch & release only) are available on site. There are many places to hike in the area, an Eagle Trail and in winter, 2 miles away, is a Nature Preserve that rents snowshoes and has trails for snowshoeing and cross country skiing, Very rural and private, even though we are only 25 miles SW of Albany, NY the capital of NYS, here it is quiet and peaceful. 2 nights at Coyote Hollow Park

We had a delightful stay at campsite number two. While originally booked in campsite number one, Christine and her husband asked us if we would be interested in moving to site 2 and we are glad we did. It was a 24 square foot tent with a couch, all kitchen essentials, a fridge, lots of bedding, a trashcan, flashlights and a heater. Only thing that we were required to bring with the clothes and shoes. Everything else was either present or available to buy from the camp store. The store was filled with food items, ice creams, drinks bathrobe, spa packets, basically everything you would need on this getaway. Plus, they provide breakfast in the morning on the days of your stay, which is very filling and elaborate. In fact it was one of the highlights of our day to be having breakfast amidst such nice lush views. The stay also comes with a complementary night of using hot bathtubs, which is just a few steps away from the camp and is highly recommended. The walk behind the campsite into the forest is beautiful especially this time of the year as we could spot a lot of fall colors and leaves. In the morning, the camp is filled with chirps of the birds. The only hiccup during our stay was the incessant rain during night time and then some until the next afternoon. So next time we would take the rain insurance, but host fixed us with heater fuel amidst the heavy rain. It was really helpful. We enjoyed dinner just 20 min drive away in the town of town named Cooperstown.

I had a wonderful experience staying at this cabin. The land is breathtaking. The waterfall was everything I could’ve asked for on my birthday for fun swimming adventures. The cabin was clean and cozy. Loved using the solar shower bags under the full moon for an additional cold plunge indulgence. Diner nearby makes a mean strawberry shortcake with biscuits. Awesome farmers market. Stay here-you will love it!

Weekend Trip to Locust Grove Waterfall

Absolutely loved it here. A piece of natures heaven and will be coming back again. It was really nice that there were camping supplies there, charcoal grill, some bowls, a tent heater, bedding, and even the outhouse was supplied to help keep it fresh. Loved the waterfall and swimming hole, plenty of spots to relax at and the view is breathtaking. I loved the trails, hammocks, and signs, that even come with a sense of humor. Communication with the host was so great and appreciated. I cant say enough great things. I cant wait to come back again for a whole weekend and ill be prepared to hear the coyotes that time around - LOL!

Weekend Trip to Waterfall Sanctuary & Quiet Retreat

Everything was perfect! The waterfall was stunning and a fun scramble to get to. The water was quite chilly as it was the last week of September, but we still went for a swim and it was a great spot with plenty of room. Have a good swi. The cabin is adorable, and the bed was so comfortable. The deck was really nice for doing yoga on and the fire pit set up was lovely.. We took a little hike that was about 10 minutes away that had beautiful views and stopped at a farm stand that had tons of beautiful produce and delicious treats. We could have easily bought all the food we needed for the weekend at that one farm stand. The site was very private and a very short walk from the car to the site. It was a perfect weekend getaway!

The cabin was beautiful and very comfortable. My dogs loved the open area and barking as much as they wanted. In the three days we spent there, we only saw two people. It was truly secluded and private. I hope to come back in the future.

Weekend Trip to Emerald Farm

Absolutely beautiful location with a great fire setup and wood provided (but I didn’t use it). The bed was very comfortable, and the pillow felt like maybe it was a Tempur-Pedic. It got cold at night down to the 40s, and the propane heater was a life saver.

Weekend Trip to Coyote Hollow Park

Exactly as advertised! Christine and her husband have put their all into this campsite and you can tell! There were many thoughtful, small things that made life easier- cooking equipment, seasonings, shower body washes, shower caddy, warm blankets, flashlights, a fan, mini fridge, etc. You quite literally have everything you need! And the camp store was a beautiful addition to our store and gave you that nostalgic feeling of being a kid at camp. The camp store had everything we needed and more, we especially appreciated the energy drinks lol. The shower and bathroom were kept meticulously clean. The stars were beautiful at night and the solar lighting everywhere was helpful and awesome. The perfect place to unplug while not having to do too much work. Thank you so much!

Took my two daughters for the weekend. The cabin was very well maintained, was clean, comfortable and had plenty of light at night. The picnic table, fire pit and campfire area outside were fantastic during night time and breakfast. Most importantly - the short hike to the waterfall was a wonderful early morning adventure.

So peaceful and beautifully designed. The cabin was immaculate and the grounds were just as perfect. I had everything I needed and it was so fun having the neighbor’s cat nearby as a feline companion 🩷 I’d love to come back someday when it’s warmer so I can do more waterfall swimming!
