3 nights at Fall Water Farm
This little cabin was a nice retreat away from home for a few days. Having bedding provided was a nice touch and the bed is very comfortable. The parking is not far from the cabin (maybe 50-100ft) and the driveway was even plowed very shortly after a few inches of snow fell during my stay. There’s a fair amount of yard space available, great for playing in the snow this time of year, and the steam right outside the cabin door is a pretty sight and sound every time you exit. This cabin is also perfect for anyone who doesn’t like dealing with a wood stove to keep warm, instead a gas radiator controlled by a digital thermostat keeps the cabin warm exactly how you like it, a very surprising but much appreciated bonus I found out after arriving. Overall, this cabin was fantastic, warm, and cozy, and I would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for somewhat easy cabin camping in the winter.

Weekend Trip to The Deer Crib at Flat Rock Farm
Excellent get-away experience. Exactly as described, put together by folks who are very practically-minded and resourceful. Total peace and privacy with very good comfort in primitive setting. Wood stove was key to cold winter nights, plenty of heating capacity to spare. Gas mantle lights are very nice touch as well.
Host is immediately responsive and excellent communicator.

Had a great visit, was only one night but definitely going to come back again. It was nice that they had a basketball hoop along with an arcade. Outdoor pavilion with fireplace. Definitely more to check out but didn’t have the opportunity.

What a great trip! The cabin was wonderful with the wood stove and such a great history there. The property was VERY secluded and quiet, a great pond for the dog to jump in, horses right in the meadow, and great trails right off rhe edge of the yard. A+ trip and hosts, well def be back!

Second annual Labor Day camping trip at the Deer Crib. We had such a wonderful time. Two adults and the dogs in the cabin, one family in a tent, and one in a truck camper. The field is the perfect spot to pitch all the tents and have room to play. The double outhouse is super convenient. The fire ring and supplied wood made for the best place to hang out all weekend. Marlene and Craig supply lots of water for washing dishes in the dry sink and there are utensils, dishes, and cooking tools available as well. So many little touches (ex a roll of paper towels) to make things convenient for their guests. The property is great. We went for lots of walks on the trail, tried to catch frogs in the pond, and started gazed at night. Such a wonderful trip. We can’t wait for next year!

Weekend Trip to The Deer Crib at Flat Rock Farm
Lovely spot, so quiet - hope you like crickets! I was there in summer, I liked their sound. A breeze in the trees for a warm evening and the clearest sky you'll ever see. Of course clouds are always possible but I mean you are so far away from city lights it was like looking into forever.
Everything you need is right there, just have to be ready to heat your own water and be conscious of your garbage and stuff, this is self- sufficient type living. But it's not like tent camping, it's luxury compared to campsites. Screens for bugs and cozy under a good roof where no bad weather would bother you. Even a citronella torch. And those fire spit fork things to roast a weenie.
Just a plain old-fashioned outhouse but Marlene has it clean and everything thought of - clean paper, soap, little solar lamps to move in the dark. Plenty of good water in the cabin, enough gas lights and battery lamps, wood provided, stove for the winter, grill on the porch and games and pans and kitchen stuff. Pretty big cooler too, if you bring ice you can keep days of food. Comfortable seating and pillows and blankets. Try the rocking chairs on the porch - makes you slow down and forget about the internet. It's primitive living but also has everything you need at the same time.

Weekend Trip to The Deer Crib at Flat Rock Farm
Truly one of the best camps I’ve ever stayed at. Craig & Marlene were incredible hosts and they made our anniversary weekend so memorable and special. The cabin is perfect and comfortable, the hot shower is great and the outhouse is super clean.
Beautiful grounds, trails and such a quiet, serene getaway. We can’t wait to come back!

Weekend Trip to The Deer Crib at Flat Rock Farm
We had a relaxing girls weekend on Marlene's property, and it was great! She was a wonderful host, making sure we had everything we needed. We were the first to try out the new shower, and it was a welcomed feature to wind down at the end of the day. The cabin was a perfect alternative to tenting, and I look forward to visiting again!

This was our first time at a public campground. It was a great experience! It was very easy to check-in, connect everything and use the wifi. We hardly noticed other "neighbors" were there and the ones we saw were super friendly. We used the bath house also, and it was the cleanest toilet and shower we have ever seen!! We look forward to our visit back.

Truly spacious sites, well-kept facility, clean bathrooms/showers and nice laundry facility. Noticed a neat dog play area, arcade, swimming/paddling pond and swimming pool. Great communication with hosts, easy check-in.
