Lil' Bit of Country

6 sites · Lodging, Tents10 acres · Victor, Ontario
If you ever experienced, as a kid, going to the country to visit grandparents  - this is an adventure just like that with dirt (mud puddles and all) driveway (approx. 1000 ft. long). This is a private property of 10 acres of lightly wooded, sloping areas with a pond and a private residence of 2300 sq. ft. which have guest rooms available as a BnB - Book rooms on AirBnB as Victor Countryside 4 rooms (single or all). It is NOT a manicured estate but rather land with mowed rustic trails with a old pond with water critters, bullfrogs, fishes, water spiders, tiny snails. There is an occasional Blue Herring, Wood Ducks and Canadian Geese that stop by as well as other wildlife.

Mission Hemlock Grove

4 sites · RVs, Tents200 acres · Conesus, Livingston
Welcome, Mission Conesus, originally built by Franciscan Catholics. These lands were likely chosen for many reasons. Suffice it to say there is something special here. Come discover for yourself. Lose yourself here, or maybe find yourself, among the Hemlocks. First, a bit about the terrain. There is much in the way of forest, very mature, and a broad array of plant species. Elevation differences are vast, land to the west is uphill for quite a ways, and downhill to the east, to Hemlock lake below, so the world here can feel a bit tilted. We adjoin 150 acres of nature conservancy lands that nobody seems to know about. These lands are for respectful public daytime use. We also adjoin 6600 acres of NY state forest which is public property. Exploring all that is here would take a very long time! Want to get away? Welcome to our little slice of heaven. We are just getting started in the camping space, but for now, we're accepting bookings and looking forward to hosting you, at the mission. R&R at Lagom Langing

4 sites · Lodging, Tents60 acres · Dansville, Livingston
The land we steward is half woods and half fields, located on a gentle easterly slope with a few small drainages running through. We offer opportunities for restoration and renewal through spending time in nature, listening to the abundant bird calls, watching deer and foxes and wild turkeys enjoy the land alongside us. We also have fairly large pollinator and vegetable gardens and chickens, and we produce maple syrup in the spring. If guests are interested, they may sign up for workshops on carpentry, food preservation, foraging, gardening, bread baking, and kombucha-brewing. We also offer spiritual direction and Enneagram typing and exploration. This experience can be as solitary as a guest would like, or guests can also experience the gift of connecting with others in community.

Whenland Eco-Trailer

1 site · Lodging3 acres · Naples, Ontario
A lovely, 3 acre plot of secluded land surrounded by cute ponds and decorated with sculptures. A small campfire spot, wood stove in the trailer and a composting toilet. Want to unplug and get away from the busy life? Most mobile phones do not work here! We have only minimal solar electricity, and there is a propane stove as well! Two double beds, one single, and a couple of nice cots. Tent Sites abound! We bought this property about four years ago. It was trashed by the previous owner and had an old dilapidated trailer in the middle of it. We cleaned and cleaned, then we ripped out the bad parts of the trailer and rebuilt the insides, placed a huge metal roof over the whole thing and put in a composting outhouse. There's no running water, and phones don't get reception, so you can truly unplug and decompress in this lovely, quiet piece of land which is close to a ton of hiking / forest land and just down the road from Cummings Nature Center, a great place for family exploration and learning.

Tranquil Meadows

3 sites · RVs, Tents27 acres · Holley, Orleans
Untill a couple years ago the acreage on this property had been farmed. In 2018 we decided give the farm land back to nature. It's amazing how quickly the land recovered! Our remodeled farm house was built in 1876. We've found many treasures on the property from past generations of farm families, everything from old bottles to horse shoes. We purchased this place in 2003 with hopes there would be grandchildren in the future and what a beautiful experience we could give them. Since then we've been blessed with a grand daughter and three grandsons. There is little to compare with the peace you feel in a quiet country environment like ours.Learn more about this land:We offer a nature preserve camping experience. Sunlight dancing off our expansive meadows of hiking trails is a tranquil site to behold.A multitude of song birds, butterflies and dragonflies make for a relaxing connection to nature. There are trails through cool wooded areas that will take you to to two ponds on the property. There is an elevated observation deck that over looks pine tree island from which you are likely to catch deer grazing at dusk in the cool evening air. We look forward to sharing our little country paradise with you.

Catbird Hill - Gateway to FLX

1 site · Tent12 acres · Bloomfield, Ontario
Relax into the privacy, safety, quiet, and great views at Catbird Hill, our 12-acre slice of heaven. We are poised on a hill overlooking almost nothing but fields and Bristol Mountain Resort in the distance. This is big sky country, where you can enjoy sublime sunrises, striking sunsets, and millions of blinking stars. If the weather is just right, you'll enjoy stunning views of morning fog rolling into the valley. You'll walk through flowering meadows, mature trees, and a short wooded trail. With few exceptions, you will enjoy supreme quiet all year long. If you like birds, you’ll find up to 122 species through the seasons (including a great selection of grassland birds). You may hear owls hooting at dusk, coyotes yapping at sundown, and the 'hmph' of a deer crossing the path. This place has healed us, and we hope it heals you, too. YOUR CAMPSITE: Upon arrival, you can choose your preferred campsite. You can pop a tent in the back meadow and enjoy quiet views of a distant horse farm, perch on the bluff and take in the nearby farm, or snuggle up next to the pond. A private seating area is available in the old barn foundation. You can grill on our small charcoal grill or build a toasty bonfire. Flat driveway for vehicles. Park and walk 150 yards to campsite.
